also if gnomes were all sitting around a small tree stump using it as a table and someone used the word "misnomer" one of them would speak up and go "HEEHEE. MISS GNOMER IS WHAT I CALL THE MISSUS" they'd all laugh so hard they fall off the mushrooms they are sitting on and spill the berry juice everywhere

vaguely working on a vampire comedy about a group of vampires dealing with the death of their sire, not because they're mourning him, but because they're rapidly realizing that a lot of the Vampire Rules were him just straight up fucking with them

[2021] Wyrm of Calibreon
Would you still love me if I had upward facing eyes and a face that looked like it permanently had dirt all over it? And was a Wyrm? 🥺
info about these guys under the cut!
The Yellow-Lipped Wyrm or The Grass-Faced Wyrm are endemic to Southeast Haedera, and are not to be confused with their smaller and less dangerous Scrub-Faced Wyrm found in Azteram.
Wyrm are a broad species which are mostly small to medium in size- the exception is the Grass-Faced Wyrm which is the largest of all of the species. Most Wyrm employ a decoy ruse when it comes to hunting which pairs well with their comical yet well-placed upward facing eyes.
The Grass-Faced Wyrm hunts by digging out burrows or holes and covering themselves with soil or nearby grasses. For a trained eye, it is relatively easy to spot the often poorly buried giant lump of grass. For camels and other hooved animals the disguise works remarkably well- leading to the high success rate of hunting with Wyrm. Though large Wyrm avoid hunting humans and can typically spot any prey they deem to be too much to handle with before they act. If stepped on, however, it will most definitely make its presence known and bite, thrash, claw or strike out with its tail against anything that bothers it.
Almost all Wyrm are poisonous but thankfully the worst effect of the Grass-Faced Wyrm can be slight dizziness or numbness in the bitten area. Relying mostly on brute strength the Wyrm will curl their tail underneath them in their hidden lair, and like a tightly coiled spring leap forward and lunge outward at unsuspecting prey. Their grassy noses not only helps with disguise but the sensitive barbels on their nose double as 'tremor detectors' to determine the weight or pace something is moving towards them.
