Sometimes I tell myself: your fate is unique; consider all others fortunate鈥攏o other has ever been so tormented. Then I read a poet of past times, and it is as if I were looking into my own heart.

the destructive feminine urge to destroy everything you built, but i'm not going to cause i worked too hard to get to where i am. but it goes to show no matter how far you get in life you'll always get in your own way, because objectively my life is great, especially compared to my early 20s when i was a drug addict, but subjectively, it feels so empty at times. i'm 32 and most of my friends are dead now. there's nothing wrong with my life, i tell myself, but it's tiring, and i'm tired of being in survival mode. i need to put this to an end, the survival mode, not my life, lol.
