Wukong would never admit he's jealous because he could never.

No, people were jealous of him, the great sage that brought chaos over heaven itself! The most handsome monkey king with enough charisma to make himself the most attractive and sought after creature in any realms

He doesn't chase after people like Bajie. He also doesn't care if people fell for him because that's expected.

But ask him to let you roam free in a populated area without his disguise on you, and watch him slap his fur strand on your head anyway

His excuse? He would act sage-like and lecture you on the devious ways of many men, both Yaoguai and human. "That bunch would never keep their hands to themselves so long as any woman is nearby, and they are everywhere. That's why Guanyin gave you custom clothes to erase your scent completely." He stated.

And then he'd point to Bajie. "Example," he declared.

The pig demon felt so wronged, especially when you, Wujing and Ao Lie, who were also listening to the lecture, all nodded in agreement. Even your master couldn't deny that fact when he kept quiet.

Then you suggest he teaches you the transformation spell, but he refused again. His excuse this time was that it's a parting gift from his first master, and he can't possibly share it with anyone, so just give up on it and stick to begging him for help instead

Tired, you respected his decision and immediately turned to ask Bajie since he could also transform, but Wukong beat you to the punch by literally threatening to beat Bajie with one punch if he said a peep

Safe to say you did not learn anything

In villages, he would have no problem with you wandering around because his fur acts like a sensor as well. Should anything happen he would know instantly, but it never has to come down to that because you are always hovering around your master, too afraid that some Yaoguai will snatch him away again

And sometimes that would lead to you getting kidnapped with your master, but he'll come rescuing you two as always

But if you were tasked to split away from the group, be it to look for something or scouting, depending on the distance, he would accompany you, either with you knowing or not.

In the off chances your disguise is blown, he doesn't have much to worry. You had no interest in any flirting or confessions, no matter how much wealth or sweet promises they tell you.

Though that aloofness will become a problem for Wukong later on.

Regardless, Wukong will still destroy any brave fools that tried to whisk you into marriage

However, there is one person that keeps bugging him, and that's Erlang Shen.

He knows he said he was patient and that he'll wait for you to tell him your story, but he was definitely overestimating himself there. The more days go by and you keep not telling him, the more twitchy he gets. He would try to coerce you into telling with subtle and innocent questions, but you would dismiss him by answering vaguely back or just ignoring him altogether.

He'd get his answer at one point. Except who he hears it from will have different results

If he learns about your past status as Erlang's fiancée from you yourself, then he would act normal while mentally celebrating, knowing that it meant you had long moved on from that one time arrangement

Of course he would also learn why it ended, and that's another can of emotional turmoil

However, if he learns the truth from someone else before you had the chance to, he would be left conflicted and secretly worried, wondering if you still had feelings for Erlang.

Either way, he would still act as if he wasn't bothered, refusing to admit his budding feelings and hiding it away.

But that won't stop him from being clingier or more protective over you, especially when Erlang is present or mentioned. His tail is all over you or some part of your body, usually any limps or waist, waiting impatiently for the conversation to end before pulling you away from the god.

If Erlang calls his behavior out on it, weapons will start flying from both sides.

He knows that he's reacting differently to you, but that doesn't mean you need to know about it.

And as his feelings grew, Wukong would lessen his teasing gradually, replacing them with sweet gestures and gifts while hiding his tinted cheeks.

See? He can be good, so promise him you won't look at anyone else already

Black Myth: Wukong - Destined One

The Destined One is more humble and honest, but he doesn't consider himself to be a jealous person either. It's reasonable considering he was raised with the monkeys in mount Huaguo where sharing is everything. He's used to giving and helping others in need.

But that was until he became attached to you and your teapot.

He's willing to share anything else if asked, but don't even think about getting a single touch on even the golden engravement. Just a glance of it is more than enough in his opinion

This wasn't something either of you found out about until you were reunited with Bajie after so many years.

It was a teary reunion with Bajie lamenting on not being able to see your beautiful appearance and cursing heaven for it, his hand extending to grab your teapot from the young sage when the latter.. lifted it up higher

Destined One:

No matter how much you insisted on being handed over to Bajie, the young sage refused to acknowledge it and continued to show off his superior height over the smaller boar demon, angering him so

"They all take after that old monkey, I swear." Bajie would scoff, trekking along side the Destined One while you're held firmly in his palm.

It took awhile for him to trust Bajie and allowed him to hold you, but his tail hugged the handle always.

But after Bajie's arrival, you and him would tell stories of the great sage, be it good or bad ones, to the young sage. It was always Bajie who got reminded of something similar in the past and would often talk his tale through complaints, lecturing the Destined One to not behave like the arrogant Wukong, and you would add on in nostalgia.

Their experiences were different from the fable-like tales the monkeys from Mount Huaguo would tell, but you wanted to show your growing friend that Wukong was silly as he was powerful

Both of you were survivors of Wukong's endless pranks, but Bajie suffered the most in comparison. At least you had the satisfaction of realizing your share was fueled by disguised affection.

During these talks, the young sage would listen quietly as usual, yet his heart would gradually feel stuffy. His tail flicked restlessly behind his back, despite his calm expression.

He finds himself thinking about what you actually looked like when you talked about Wukong in such a loving, gentle sounding voice. Are you smiling? Do your eyes shine with love when you speak so longingly about the sage? Did you show that kind of expression to Sun Wukong only?

The Destined One would often rest with your teapot on his chest at night, wondering deeply of you

It made him realize that he was jealous for the first time in his life, but not toward just any man. This suffocating feeling was directed toward the legendary king himself.

Should he be ashamed of it? To covet your love and loyalty for the great sage? He should be, but he wasn't. It didn't take him long to understand that he loves your presence in his life and just you altogether

The young sage was left conflicted by his own feelings, yet he would never let it show. His already quiet behaviors made it hard for others to notice, yet you had an inkling that something was amiss whenever he took a bit longer to respond when you spoke of Wukong.

It didn't help to know that you view him as a child that's too stubborn to share and too careless to listen.

It meant he wasn't even on the same league as the monkey king in skills, power and now, your heart. It frustrated him enough that he would be sulky and sluggish, affecting his reflexes mid battle and worrying you to no ends

And no matter how many times you ask or Bajie lectures, he would never share the real reasons to either of you

But despite his own feelings, he still chose to continue the journey of retrieving all of Wukong's relics. He wasn't going to break his promise to you and throw away his mission because he was jealous, but he was going to get better and win your heart.

So call him selfish, but please look at him too

Considering that Wukong's alive, D.O pleads demands to Wukong that he marries Yuánhóu and since he's friends with Twisted Arm Gibbon, he's able to persuade him (think of like, those scenes when two old guys discuss about the marriage of their children because it's like, a way to show that their daughter is in capable hands) But Wukong just nopes out - smugly and mockingly too - telling D.O that there's no chance that Twisted Arm Gibbon will let him marry his only daughter. Yuánhóu DOES like D.O but all feelings are gone the moment D.O kills Twisted Arm Gibbon and forcefully weds with her. Wukong on the other hand, watches with amusement and pride (because in this life, it's either kill or be killed) so he's happy that D.O is taking in his path. Adding on, the previous Yandere! D.O artwork is basically the aftermath of Yuánhóu trying to escape the estate when D.O is out. Wukong was there but he let her escape, because he knows D.O will dish out a perfect punishment to her once he caught up to her In a way the differences between a Yandere Wukong and Yandere D.O to me is that Yan! Wukong plays around with his darling, let them punch him, kick him and run off whenever they want. In the end, he'll be always to find them. It doesn't matter if it takes him days or years, he'll find you regardless. Yan! D.O is stricter, firmer in his stances. He's quick to put punishments like binding your legs and arms together just so you won't run. He wants to break you, make you entirely dependent on him.

I think he’d LOVE this holiday. While Destined One is reserved I think both he and Wukong, being the cheeky monkey he is would LOVE the idea of “trick or treat” and would take it to heart.
