dream smp 01/06 event breakdown

the doomsday war.

here is a quick breakdown of the important events that happened on the dream smp on january 6th. since there was so much going on today and so many different pov’s, i was only able to watch a small handful of them– if you watched any other pov than myself, it would be much appreciated if you comment any info i missed :)

(breakdown of yesterday’s set-up, 01/05) 

At the festival, Dream turns his back on Tubbo and L’Manberg, showing the blown up community house (supposedly done by Tommy).

Tubbo gives Dream the final disk. Dream and Techno side, deciding that the next day they will completely destroy L’Manberg. Tommy reconciles with Tubbo, turning his back on Techno. He and the rest of the SMP decide that they will fight them the next day.

Today

Fundy realizes that Ranboo was right, that neither of the sides were good and neither of them cared about him. He will not fight for either side and sabotages L’Manberg’s chests. Niki sides with him.

Quackity nearly runs away from L’Manberg, but decides to stay. He leaves his horse by the sea, hoping to come back to it after the Doomsday War.

Techno, Dream and Philza arrive half an hour early with their horde of dogs. Techno sets multiple withers off in L’Manberg. As they are distracted, Dream sets TNT off from a contraption in the sky.

Niki sets TNT off underground and burns part of the Prime Path. She burns down the L’Mantree.

Tubbo watches in dismay as his country is destroyed, knowing that there is nothing that he can do about it. The Camarvan is destroyed in front of them.

Tommy confronts Dream. Dream will be going away for a little while, to avoid the wave of frustration following the war. He says that L’Manberg’s story is over, but theirs isn’t (referring to the disks).

L’Manberg lost the Doomsday War. The country is dissolved, and the Greater Dream SMP area takes over.  

Wilbur is heartbroken to hear that it was Phil, Dream and Techno who destroyed L’Manberg, including his sewers, thinking that they were friends. He is incredibly upset that he had given Philza “Friend” to watch over in his home, and that he still blew it up anyway.  

They sing the L’Manberg anthem a final time in the ruins.

Ghostbur confesses his desire to be brought back to life. He no longer wants to be Ghostbur and tries to find someone on the server that is powerful enough to resurrect him. At first he thinks that Dream is the only person that can bring him back, but decides against it. His theory is that if he were to be killed again, it would bring Alivebur back. Eret refuses to kill him and BadBoyHalo does not think he is able to bring him back. Finally, he talks to Philza, who has been reading up on resurrection. Philza knows how to bring him back to life, using the same sword that killed him, in the same place that he was killed, and they set his resurrection date for January 10th.

Quackity attempts to team up with Ranboo, but is rejected. To Quackity, the only way to defeat Dream and allow L’Manberg to rise again is through politics and diplomacy. He begins to think about people he can bring onto his side.

Overall, those who remain in what once was L’Manberg think about starting to prepare for another war against Dream.

You check the descriptions of the videos, confused. On both videos, it says the same thing.

Stand With Hong Kong

Yesterday the Hong Kong police stormed into the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Who gave them the right to go into an university campus and cause a chaos like that? What for? What were they trying to do? Of course there were students at the university. They were not rioting and doing anything illegal. It is an university campus. It should not be a battlefield. The university students have been fighting so hard and putting their lives at risk to protect their school and home. They are still on guard at the moment. Many students were injured and some were arrested last night. For numerous times the police promised to retreat but they still fired at the students. Even the headmaster went there and tried to make a deal with the police. But the police broke their promise and fired relentlessly. Even the headmaster was unable to protect his students from the police. The police even fired tear gas when the headmaster was still present at the site. How could the police disrespect an university headmaster like that? How could they disrespect an university like that? CUHK was among the world’s top universities. How could anyone let that happen? How could the world condone that? Last night was a total nightmare. It seemed like no one could stop the police. Not even the headmaster. Not even the former headmaster who also went to the site. Meanwhile our chief executive Carrie Lam had so much fun at a dinner event last night. And it was not only CUHK. Other universities were under attack as well. The police fired tear gas at PolyU few days ago.
