listen, i'm back home now, i'm thinking about things, and i saw the maxton hall gifset floating around and i was like. yk what. carrying people is elite content, and gdi y'all deserve elite content! as always, DO NOT ADD OR EDIT THIS LIST! and there's a lil spicy addition under the readmore, but i left it there just in case people prefer to have a not-so-spicy version.

[ SLUMBER ]: sender picks up and carries the receiver because they're so sound asleep that they won't easily wake up.

[ INTERCEPT ]: sender picks up and carries the receiver out of the room because they're angry and on the brink of engaging in a fight with someone.

[ ASSIST ]: sender picks up and carries the receiver away for medical attention because they've been injured and can't walk easily.

[ HELP ]: sender picks up and carries the badly wounded receiver as fast as possible to the nearest hospital or the nearest place to administer urgent first-aid.

Caleb hummed lazily as he shifted very, very slowly, keeping one arm wrapped around Ilkay to ensure he wouldn't get too jostled.

When he felt Ilkay moving of his own accord he froze, letting him re-settle before he finished setting the blanket on top of them. When he heard what he mumbled, he chuckled and settled his arm on his back again, on top of the blanket this time.

"Cute..." He hummed quietly, settling in to the couch more comfortably this time. He'd regret it come morning, but oh well, at least Ilkay seems comfortable. Even if he ends up not falling back asleep, he'll just enjoy the moment, absently running his fingers through the ends of his hair.

As expected, Caleb was startled by the sudden target change, as shown by the small, startled laugh he let out while playfully trying to squirm away from her attack.

"Me being unfair? I never thought you'd come after little ol' me with a sneak attack!" He countered with an amused laugh, though he didn't make any proper attempts to 'escape'.

He left the shopping list above them, safe from the chaos as he worked on wrapping his arms around her in a hug, hoping to pin her arms down to give himself the chance to breathe.

"Dolaaaa!" Caleb whined dramatically, knocking on her bedroom door with the back of his hand. "Come oooon, I'm kidnapping you for grocery shoppiiiiiing."

As tempting as it was to 'actually' kidnap her by going in and tossing her over his shoulder or something, he has long since learned his lesson about entering her room uninvited. He has no intention of repeating that mistake if he can help it.

Is he fully capable of going shopping on his own? Of course.

Does he want to go shopping on his own? Nope!

So he's going to drag Dola with him. Gotta keep her socialized and make sure she gets her daily dose of Caleb-time! He's already put together a shopping list, so all he needs to do is grab her and go.

“They aren’t dead,” Caleb reassured, leaving the ‘yet’ unspoken as he carefully placed his hands on her shoulders, giving her a quick once over. “Are you okay? Did they hurt you?”

He should’ve been more careful, kept a closer eye on her. This shouldn’t have happened. 

He shouldn’t have let this happen.

Caleb turned his full attention to fighting the Wanderer, doing his best to keep it in one place and it's destruction to a minimum. As playful as he tried to be, he's still smart. Calculating. And damn if he's not capable.

So he continued the barrage against the Wanderer, making use of the debris and his Evol when he ran out of bullets, never faltering. It's not safe for him to hesitate, to doubt himself, even for a moment.

When the Wanderer finally cried out it's own defeat and fell, Caleb sighed in relief, stretching out slowly and flexing his hands. He's getting out of practice...

Jogging back over to Aurora, he squatted down beside her, eyebrows furrowing at the condition of her ankle. "How bad does it hurt?"
