When heated above 200ish degrees fahrenheit it loses the carboxylic acid group, offgasses a CO2 molecule, and becomes THC. ALL WEED is THCA weed. THCA weed is not legal in any state that doesn't have legal recreational or medical cannabis. The process of combusting the flower turns ALL the THCA into THC. THCA IS NOT federally legal. Almost nothing the above person stated is correct.

Also I have no idea where you came to the conclusion that that is purple kush, since the research papers cited don't list the strains, and the image used is just a generic google image search weed image (like all hellsitegenetics images), which MAY be purple kush, but could be any number of related or even unrelated strains. The buds pictured are too early in their growth to tell from purely visual cues.
