I’m trying to come up with a redesign/adult design for one of my old characters, Riley Wolfe. I’m currently working on a new story for both him and the OC my Tumblr handle is named after (my sister said I’m rebooting them; she’s not wrong, lol). I’ve settled on naturally black hair that he’d dyed blue when he was young, but I’m still trying to decide on an eye color.

I kinda just started sketching the adult version to try to overcome writers’ block; I couldn’t decide on a written description of him for his introduction to the story, so I drew him to help me figure out how to paint a picture of him with words.

Here’s what he used to look like when I first came up with him as a teenager:

He used to be a werewolf, along with Cali, but I’ve decided to take him in a different direction in the story I’m writing.

I’m kinda working on Cali’s appearance too, I just haven’t sketched her yet.

I just inked and colored the sticky note doodle.

It was slow at work, so I drew one of my Neopets.

I adopted a rainbow Aisha from the pound when I got back into Neopets, and eventually turned him into a Starry Grarrl with a morphing potion, and finally painted him Faerie.

I kinda always saw him as gay, but once he became a Faerie Grarrl, I saw him as a sassy drag queen.

I plan on redrawing and coloring this in my sketchbook later, but I wanted to share anyway since I was pleased with how the drawing was coming along.

My brain wouldn’t let me sleep last night until I sketched this out.

Holy shit, this is cool!

So many cultures call the Pleiades some variation of the "seven sisters" despite only having six visible stars. There only appear to be six because two of the stars are so close together as to appear as one.

The myths also mention one sister leaving or hiding to explain why there's only six. And based off observations and measurements, those two that are so close together used to be visibly separate. One literally has moved to hide.

And based off the similarities between the more commonly known Greek myth and the Aboriginal Australian myth, plus some other stuff, this myth could possibly even date back to when humanity still all resided in Africa!

I made a meal inspired by the offerings on Titanic’s 3rd class dinner menu.

The rice soup recipe came from this video from Tasting History:

For the roast beef, I made a Mississippi pot roast and added beef broth to it to make gravy, and for the fresh bread, I got some sourdough bread (one of my favorite breads).

Overall, I think it turned out really tasty and I highly recommend the rice soup; it’s got a flavor I can only describe as being perfect for a cool autumn evening. Hopefully next year I can make a little more of the menu.

I dunno, I thought this would be a cute post for Team Night.

I painted Winnie with the Valentine Paint Brush, so I redid his house accordingly. I made sure to keep his flowers garden and garden well, though.

I’m not normally fond of island/town building mobile games, but I’ve been playing Tales of Dacardia a lot more than I thought I would. Here’s a few of the houses I’ve come up with for my Neopets:

Winnie here mentioned loving flowers and I normally have him gather at the farm, so I gave him his own little garden.

Zenny asked for his pool, deck chair, and pool floatie, so I made him a little vacation home.

I painted Roary with the Team Dacardia brush, so I tried to make his home reflect the island he lives on/the team he roots for.

Angel is a 25th Anniversary Aisha, so I thought it would be fitting to make her home a place to party, while also referring to her wanting to teach Neopian history with the podium and books along her fencing.

Turquoisetail’s Nightmare Before Christmas vibe happened by accident; she had me paint her house like that during the Halloween event, and I thought it fit both holidays and rolled with it. The Gothic Holiday capsules definitely helped me lean into that theme more, lol.

Babs’ theme was a no brainer the moment she requested that I make her house colder with the snowy paint roller (plus the fact she could be painted Christmas and Peppermint).

And finally we have Long’s humble abode. Long asked for privacy and a zen garden, but I also managed to get the lucky Aisha from the crabby capsules, so I added that; I went with the black one because the black Maneki-Neko embodies safety and wards off evil spirits (and stalkers according one site I checked), it felt fitting given some of the things Long said about people wanting to see his scales.

I do have a Lupe, currently painted the Halloween paint brush, but I’m waiting for Halloween to roll around again so I can make her a proper haunted house.

Hey, TCG side of Tumblr, I pulled this miscut Squakabilly a few months back from a Paldean Fates ETB; is it worth anything?

I’m not looking to sell it, I’m just curious. I’ve never pulled any kind of error card before this.

So for some of our friends Christmas gifts, we made recipe cards. We visited them in August and September last year and I made potato mochi for them one night. They loved it, so that was one of the recipes I chose to give them. It kinda looked bland, so I drew the Legends: Arceus starters enjoying their own potato mochi on the back.
