Okay, So for everyone who doesn't understand what is going on in this video:

The hawk was hunting. She was just surveying the ground around there for frogs or lizards, and scoping the area for easy ground prey.

They jay has a nest nearby and it gives no fucks (this is classic "my nest is nearby I give no fucks" bluejay behavior). Hawks are fast in flight, but not as nimble as a jay - so lifting off to chase it is futile and a waste of time and energy. If she was up high and decided to take the jay on the wing, jay is a meal, but because she is perched, she's easy "prey for the jay to bully, not that the jay can actually do any damage to her one-on-one as you can see since she's just ignoring it.

But jays will absolutely mob. Didn't happen here. The hawk eventually decided to move on (probably no frogs or lizards or etc nearby on the ground) and that jay probably made itself scarce for a bit once she the skies just to be safe.

going to someones blog and they have their pronouns listed as "dey/dem" and youre like "oh ok neopronouns i havent heard of before" but then you start scrolling through deir blog and dey exclusively post in an exaggerated mafia goon voice and now you're genuinely unsure if dey use they/them but spelled it funny as part of the bit or if dey use neopronouns which are an extension of the bit

That princess treatment lady on tiktok is something else like at my hotel we constantly do modules on spotting human trafficking and damn near all of the shit she mentioned is in said modules; the woman not being permitted to speak and avoiding eye contact not speaking when addressed, refusing to go anywhere without their male companion, not answering simple questions and directing everything to the male. Like I’m not saying Ms. Girl is being trafficked but if a woman like that came into my hotel I would absolutely be alerting my supervisor and ensuring I wrote down the address/phone number/full legal name/license of the “husband”.

The thing that separates "alligator alcatraz" from other detainment centers is the pride being taken in it, the openness about what's going to happen there, the merch. The actual interior of the building and the conditions under which detainees will suffer are not different than other ICE detention facilities

The escalation represented by alligator Alcatraz isn't an escalation in the abuse, its an escalation in the scale at which the abuse is inflicted and in the sense of safety fascists feel when openly celebrating the abuse being inflicted
