Rumors swirled anew when a messenger was seen departing the citadel and taking the road towards Essetir. What manner of challenge would King Arthur send? What manner of response was he to get? What was to become of the Queen if these allegations were not roundly defeated?

He's saying goodbye, Gwaine can see that clear as day, and from the way Merlin looks at him over Lancelot’s shoulder it's clear he expects Gwaine to be next in line. Fuck that. Let Lancelot handle the teary farewells. Gwaine isn't saying goodbye, because Merlin isn't going anywhere. Or: Arthur decides to banish Merlin for his magic. Gwaine decides he isn't about to let that happen.

FIC: insane_falcon created mind games [the "Vampires Pet" remix] for ClotpolePoet (Merlin/Arthur – Mature – 2408w) Summary: Merlin’s a Sensir, a demon ruled by the Sin of Lust. While attending the Demon King's birthday banquet, he receives a surprising gift: the Vampire Prince Arthur Pendragon.

Such simple words, said only in jest but still, Percy’s heart nearly stopped. Sometimes he wondered how nobody could tell how in love with his best friend he was. How those words affected him, because even just the thought made him want to daydream about their future together. Not just as mates, but as lovers. In this imaginary future he would say yes in a heartbeat.

“Leave me out of this,” Percy grinned at Gwaine, ignoring the pain in his chest.
