“Coffee I can do, definitely” Cameron agreed, though he was definitely going to try to get him a pastry or something when they eventually went. “Skiing, that’s nice! I’ve never tried skiing actually, I’d like to one day, I’ve only ever snowboarded” he pointed out, before smiling, “We should go out on the mountain together one day- when you’re less busy” he suggested, as he hadn’t had time to go out on the slopes recently. “Oh yeah I’m great, just spending most of my time at home writing like I normally do” @rayxclairmont

Cameron was very confident that if he continued to insist on paying for his own ice cream, him and Ray would’ve been stuck trying to pay for each other for the rest of the night. They were both so kind, but luckily for them Cam was not very stubborn. “Okay fine- you can buy my ice cream today, but next time I’m buying yours” he told him, knowing he would hold himself to it. He ordered his ice cream, just a chocolate and vanilla soft serve cone with sprinkles before looking back at Ray. “Thank you, I really mean it though I owe you dinner or something” he smiled, “how’ve you been? “Well that’s exactly why you SHOULD tell me, so I can make sure you follow through!” Cameron protested, though he was sure he wasn’t going to hear about any of his buddies dates until after the fact. “Thank you, that’s all I ask” he laughed as Mason relented and said he could hang nearby his next date, “Take her on a second date, you never know! Maybe it’ll be an even better time and you’ll really like her” he suggested, always prone to giving second chances. “Whenever my next date is I absolutely want you there in a bad wig” he continued to laugh at the thought of it, and how ridiculous it was going to look. @masonxmurray

Mason chuckled with Cameron's joke, "No, that makes sense. I could do something like that too," well perhaps not as elaborate as Cameron's date, but the point stood. "But, I should probably stick to easing myself into the whole dating thing in the first place. I ripped the band aid off, that is more than I would have though I'd done by now," Mason laughed again, "Hey, I was trying to play it cool, I thought that's what you were supposed to do," he shook his head, "I'm sure my approaches will change as I go on more dates." He gave Cameron a look and shook his head while smiling. "Please, I insist. It's just ice cream." Ray smiled at him and waited for the man to order. "If you don't, I'll figure out something else to pay for you so, you know..." He chuckled a little bit. "It's really not a big deal." He'd happily do this for anyone and the fact it was Cameron was just that much better. @cameronhatcher

Cameron listened with intent as his friend described the date, nodding along and smiling at different parts as he continued listening. He really did want the best for his friend, and was hoping something might come of this date because he deserved a good relationship. “No shame on going somewhere casual, I don’t fly my first dates out on a plane to go somewhere nice even though I could afford to” he said, mainly joking. He could afford it, but he wasn’t going on any dates at this point in his life. “That’s okay, not everyone needs to be second wife material right away. And hey who knows, maybe it could grow into something nice” he smiled, “A few days? You’re far more relaxed than me, I would’ve texted her that night” Cameron admitted with a laugh, but they both knew that he was always a hopeless romantic like that. @masonxmurray

Mason laughed with the surprise that clearly coated Cameron's words, "Yeah, I did," he was just as surprised, honestly. When he opened them and began swiping (after a few failed attempts), he realized that it might not be a bad idea for him to get out there. "Her name was Sera, she's new to town," figured it fell in line with him being in town almost a year as well, "we just went to Cobblestone, I know," he held up his hands, "my big DA money, we should have went somewhere more expensive but it felt easier to go casual, just in case," just in case that one of them needed to get out before the end of the date. "She was nice, don't think I met my second wife by any means," he chuckled, "I think we hit it off for a second date but I haven't reached out, it's only been a few days." @cameronhatcher

Cameron had always had a sweet tooth. He ate pretty healthy and worked out often, so he rewarded himself with a good dessert every now and again without worrying too much about it. Even though it was starting to get cold, he was craving some ice cream so he headed over to Frosty Bliss to get a cone. Cam was looking over their options and not really paying attention as he waited in line, so he had barely heard Ray tell the cashier that he would pay for his cone. Looking up and smiling over at him, Cameron shook his head, “oh no- no, you don’t have to do that” he insisted, never the type to accept something he didn’t need. @rayxclairmont

While it was getting a little colder outside, Ray couldn't say no to getting Claire some ice cream. All the little girl had to do was smile and he was out getting whatever she had asked for. He was sure it was going to stay that way, too, for the rest of his life with not just her, but her sisters as well. After ordering what ice cream they wanted, he looked behind them to see someone else in line and then back at the cashier. "And we'll get whatever they want too." He said and stepped out of the way to wait for the person to order so he could pay.

Admittedly, Cameron spent much less time reading than he would’ve liked to. He had books- plenty of them, but everytime he sat down intending to read one he would be pulled away by his work. “Really? I didn’t realize it was so popular” he admitted, as even when he did find the time to read he didn’t gravitate toward the fantasy genre. “How many books are in the series? I could just buy them all now and give them to her at once, it’ll probably be easier” he said, mainly thinking out loud but it wasn’t a bad idea. He was already here, he might as well, and it wasn’t like he was hurting for the money. “No occasion, she just mentioned it when we were getting lunch the other day so I figured I would get it for her” he answered the question with a small smile. “And I’m sorry for coming in so late, I know you guys are about to close and I hate being the person who comes in right at the end of someone’s shift but I was right here” he stated, as though entering a store during their operating hours warranted an apology. @daisyxhouston

Daisy raised an eyebrow at the man, displaying a rare, small smirk, "Yeah, considering it's one of the best-selling books of the decade, I think we'll have a copy," she joked. She headed over to the fantasy aisle, easily finding a copy and handing it to him. "It's a series, so you might just find yourself having to pay more money for the other books if she likes it," she explains as she heads back behind the counter. "What's the occasion?" It wasn't that she actually really cared, but she knew she had to do her job.

“Yeah, it’s not great but you know what? I can now say that I’ve dated again after everything went down with Parker and I didn’t freak out, so now we know that I really am ready to date again” he said, making a positive spin on it. Dating after his failed engagement was a scary prospect, but now he’d gotten his feet in the door, he knew he was ready to try again. “That’s awesome! Gonna be a beautiful wedding, I just know it.” He smiled, “and the store seems like it’s been doing great, I’m glad! I’ve been in a couple times” he told him, nodding. Did Cameron need new clothes? Absolutely not; but it was a store owned by someone he cared about, so of course he was going to buy things from time to time. “You know me, I never stop writing” he answered, laughing softly, “I’m pretty sure my dreams are just lyrics and melodies flying through my head at this point, not even sleep can stop me from writing” @elianxbrowne

Eli grinned as he was offered a seat across from Cameron. "Ah man, I'm sorry that's shit. Even if it was mutual." He knew how happy Cameron had seemed when he was dating Summer. "Things are great, yeah," Eli nodded his head, "probably getting married by the end of the year." He admitted to his friend, "her store is doing great, too. She's always working hard but I know how much she loves it." Eli went on, "what about you? Any new music in the works?" @cameronhatcher

Cameron hated going into businesses right before they were going to close. But he was already in town, it was right here, and he was hopefully just going to be in and out. Hearing the voice of one of the workers, Cam looked over at her. "Yes! Hi, I was just looking for this one book my sister wanted, it was um" he tried to remember the name off the top of his head before pulling out his phone, "Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, do you know if you guys have a copy here?" he asked. He was always the type of person who bought random gifts for the people he cared about throughout the year. Recently his sister had mentioned she wanted to read this particular book, so he took it upon himself to find it for her. @daisyxhouston

Daisy rolled her eyes as the bell above the door let out a gentle ding, indicating that someone had entered the book store...five minutes before she was hoping to close and go home. Typical.

Turning around from the non-fiction section she was tidying, she inspected the unwelcome visitor, raising an eyebrow at them, although their back was turned to her. "Can I help you with something?" she asked, her voice piercing the silence that fell over the otherwise empty store. She didn't often interact with the customers unless completely necessary, but if it meant getting home faster, she would put up with some painful conversation.

Cameron enjoyed going out by himself, mainly because he never ended up alone by the end of the night. Not in a hook up way- of course, but he had a lot of friends in town who generally joined him whenever they saw him out alone. "Eli! Hey, how've you been? Come on, sit with me" he motioned for him to sit across from him. "Not at all, trust me I'm not expecting anybody" he told him, before shrugging at his question. "I'm actually single again. No worries, it was a mutual decision. The distance and work schedules were just too much" he told him, "How's Isla?" @elianxbrowne

"Cameron Hatcher," he grinned, walking up to the man that he hadn't seen in quite some time. "how the hell have you been?" He sat down across the table from him and then looked around, "I'm not interrupting, am I?" He hadn't seen anyone that looked like they were headed towards the same table. "Girlfriend not in town?" He inquired with a curious tip of his head to the side. Eli hadn't intended on running into anyone and was just headed to grab a drink while Isla was out with her girlfriends, but was glad that he had.

"You did?!" Cameron said, eyes widened with excitement. Honestly, he hadn't expected Mason to actually really use the dating apps he added him to, but he figured it was worth a shot. Cam himself had never actually used a dating app, but it was different for him given the occupation. "Really I just wanted to make your profile, but I'm glad you actually used the account" he smiled, taking a sip from his beer before looking back at his friend. "So tell me about your date, where did you guys go, what was she like?" @masonxmurray

"I went on my first date," he chuckled with a shake of his head, "honestly, I couldn't believe I even let you put me on a dating app in the first place. Let alone more than one." Mason joked with Cameron, "I can hardly keep up with them but I ripped off the band aid and went." Mason shrugged his shoulders, "I can't say I loved every minute of it but it was far from the worst date I've ever been on or could have been on," the mere thought could have made the man shudder.

Cameron whispered a small thank you as he accepted the towel, wiping the water off his face and fixing his hair back up before looking back over at Rhys's camera. He was used to people taking his picture all the time, especially when he was doing something that might've been considered embarrassing, so he didn't mind in the slightest. "Please tell me you got good pictures of that, I have to see them" he said with a short laugh, "I'll have to get you to send me a copy of one, that's going to be my Christmas card" he joked. @rhysmorgann

Rhys was capturing the hysterical moments taking place at the apple bobbing game, struggling not to laugh while he was capturing the moments through the lence of his camera, only to be interrupted when someone decided to toss in the towel. “I bet it is. It’s hysterical to watch though.” He grinned while handing the other a towel. “And nah, not yet. I’m working—“ he had added, lifting up his camera to show him. @cameronhatcher

Cameron had always been a friendly face to those he'd met in his professional and personal life. Whether he'd known you for ten years or ten minutes, he always talked like you'd been friends since birth. "I have done archery before actually- a couple of times, I can't say I was ever the best at it but I was pretty good, in my own opinion" he said with a bright smile. "And please- you can call me Cameron. Or Cam, really, it doesn't matter" he insisted, not used to being called so formally. Even by strangers, he was always just 'Cam'. "Have you done archery before?" he asked, curiously. @briarrosedahl

Briar decided to go to one of the events in town just to get to know more people around. She was surprised to see a few familiar faces from work there. Her two-month-old son was asleep, in the baby sling attached to her body, and having a backpack with all the things she needed for her son. The Icelander was surprised that he was able to recognize her, with her sunnies and hair tied, and no makeup. ❛ Thank you. So, did you. ❜ As he approached, it wasn't like she had much to do, and she didn't plan on staying longer anyway. ❛ Sure. "I just love festivals, there's so many great things to see and try" Cameron continued, just as positive- if not more, when he was drunk than when he was sober. He let out a small laugh when she said she could tell he was a bit drunk, "There were just a lot of cider flavors to try and fall wines I needed to have a little bit of them all. Have you ever had apple wine? It's like basically apple juice, it was so good" he told her, "Did you want to try it? I could buy you a bottle" he offered, just too generous for his own good. "My cheeks do give me away, don't they?" he shook his head, "I am going to try telling people I'm just cold but it might be a good idea for me to get some water. Do you want one? Mabel wasn't annoyed when she was halted by Cameron, the two of them having had a great conversation a while before. However, it was easy to tell that he had had a couple of drinks. Still, he was on good side of the scale, meaning he wasn't acting like a complete drunk, so she didn't mind. If anything, she found it endearing. "It is pretty cool, huh?" It wasn't like she remembered them to be, but she was excited she had gotten to show her son around, who had his first time in Kismet in general. "Maybe just a tad. You'd have been safe had it not been for the red cheeks. But you can always go tell people you're cold." Not that that would save him. It was obvious in other ways too, but all in a good way." @cameronhatcher

"I miss the weather and my friends from Nashville, but there's nothing like living close to family again. I can't believe how many years I went only seeing them once or twice all year" Cameron shook his head. He knew he was very fortunate to have the family that he did, not everyone had the luxury of a full family that loved them dearly. He was a very lucky person, both in his career and at home. "Of course I'm sure, infact I insist" he continued, never the type of person who would let someone else stay cold if he had anything to offer them. Cameron laughed as she brought up her husband, knowing there was no perceived threat and she was just joking, "It is a very nice cologne, I think I might be offended if you get home later and he doesn't ask about it" he continued to laugh, before leaving to get some apple cider for them both, returning a few moments later and holding one out for her, "Here you go- enjoy" @courtneyxblake

Though Courtney wasn't exactly an extrovert, she wasn't exactly an introvert either. She was definitely quiet but could make friends when need be. And that's kind of how she and Cam had become friends. As random as it was, it just worked. So she was glad to catch up with him, and despite him being famous, she felt like he was just a regular guy. "I get that absolutely, I miss North Carolina so much. At least weather wise, and family wise but that's a different story." She said and waved her hand with a shaking of her head. "Are you sure?" She asked before taking his jacket and putting it on, feeling the warmth left by him, "though I can only imagine my husband asking me why I smell like a dude's cologne when I get home later." She was only joking, as she knew he trusted her as she did the same with him. "Thanks, and I'm looking forward to the cider." @cameronhatcher

Since moving back home to Kismet Harbor, it wasn't often that Cameron ran into people he knew professionally. Of course, he saw them whenever he visited LA or Nashville, but in his day to day life he mainly saw old friends from high school. So adjusting to seeing Briar around town now was interesting, but in a good way. "Look at you, you look nice!" he complimented kindly as he walked over to her, "I was thinking about giving the archery a try, you want to join me?"
