I just remembered the goodcare au blog and gah. I will always be a huge fan of that blog and I'm so happy to see them alive and kicking. @/goodcarefields pls check out their camp camp au if you haven't already because it's one of my favorite pieces of cc fan material. It's all very in character and it drives me crazy.

I'll be honest, while I'm not really into Gwenvid, like at all, there are some things that could be fun about it in canon, even if it's just hinted.

In camp counselor culture, if you have a male and a female counselor, the kids will ask if you're dating and won't drop the topic, especially if the kids are younger than 12. I remember one counselor who was a gay man. His kids wanted him to date his co-counselor so badly that she and him had a little fake wedding at the end of the summer because they thought it'd be fun to do, but obviously they never were really together. That's what Gwenvid is to me.

Also, if you like Gwenvid enough to dislike critiques of it, don't read the tags! It's cool if you fw the ship, I'm just expressing why I personally don't see them as anything beyond friends. The ramble in the tags is basically just skippable dialog.

sometimes i think about how if max was timid, shy and inflicted his hatred inwards, instead on internally, people would take his victimhood a lot more seriously and wouldn’t deny him sympathy as much as they do and i get immensely upset… it’s okay son boy i think your anger and frustration at your circumstance are incredibly precious

people always say that david is the woke one and has to correct max on being offensive but i am of the belief that it’s the opposite. for example the order of the sparrow exists. max is talking about someone at school he has a crush on and david is like “a girl named elijah? now i’ve seen EVERYTHING!”
