I’m finally sensing an improvement in home improvement, if you know what I mean, (I am talking to you, Hamilton, Ontario).

For too long the home renovation space, and contractors alike have been in a nebulous industry where men in ‘the know’ would be considered guilty until proven innocent in how they price and perform on Hamilton construction projects. Suspicions of dishonesty and shoddy work were the initial perceptions people held. 

Because of the severe lack of accountability for the time period, they were right to be weary.

Being that the contractors in Hamilton were the skilled tradesmen who the public trusted to execute bathroom renovations, or kitchen updates, you had no choice but to put your trust in a stranger. Of course there were large construction and contractor firms that you could hire... If you wanted to be left for broke.
