#y'know when I moved to OR I was anticipating the wildlife. I knew I'd have to look out for different critters on hikes and so on. but#I failed to consider the spiders. all the damn spiders. I don't even know what kind they are but they've got their webs all across the#sidewalks so I walk through them in the morning and just feel. bleugh. and there are so many moths in my apartment! bitty pale ones#every time I walk into my bathroom after work I get dive-bombed and I'm like who ARE you people???#candle ramblings#also the infestation of ditzy college students upstairs persists but that's a different matter I guess...

started playing Morrowind again recently and got to the part where you meet with Vivec and he tells you "well, Alandro Sul had his story about the events of Red Mountain and some of it is okay but most of it is wrong, and anyway we didn't murder Nerevar and here is my totally true retelling of what happened" and then you read his account and he just straight up doesn't say how Nerevar died at all. he doesn't even say that Nerevar died. like, at one point Nerevar is alive and speaking to the tribunal and then he's either not mentioned after, or mentioned in the past tense, but Vivec just skips over Nerevar's death which is... a kind of important and pivotal thing that happened

#the elder scrolls morrowind#vivec#I'm not knowledgeable enough about The Deep Lore to know if it's ever been confirmed what EXACTLY happened to Nerevar but I've#always been of the mind that Nerevar was wounded after the battle and the Tribunal knew as much but just... didn't help him.#he died of his wounds which Alandro would- rightfully I think -interpret as them killing him. by letting him die. but it's exactly#the sort of pedantic detail that I think Vivec would love to use to his advantage. because you know... TECHNICALLY they wouldn't have#killed him. TECHNICALLY something ELSE killed him. y'know. and the fact that he just doesn't mention Nerevar dying at all is. telling.#and if I remember right Sotha Sil expresses guilt later because he actually acknowledges that they could have saved him and chose not to

all my advice about using real athletes to learn drawing bodies beyond hard abs, and my particular pref being wrestlers, also applies to women btw. you can draw women who r strong and not an hourglass shape. fucking do it.
kris statlander, rhea ripley (look at her SHAPE), willow nightingale, ruby soho, these r just four off the top of my head that have obvious musculature and different body types. skye blue and julia hart have more slim cheerleader style bodies as well, i REALLY wanted to put emi sakura who is fucking STOUT (adoring) in this post but i couldn't find a good demonstrative pic, the list goes on
DRAW DIFFERENT BODIESSSSSSSS
#anatomy#second lady- rhea ripley? -looks like a fucking jojo character for real#people#also obligatory- holy shit I'm gay

social anxiety is one of the harder things to explain to people that don't have it, to be honest. like, how can you tell someone, "I'm so sorry, but you were nice to me and my brain panicked and shut down so I couldn't even think, let alone respond"? how does THAT make any kind of sense. brain, someone being nice is the OPPOSITE of a problem. chill.
#candle ramblings#it was doing alright for quite awhile but it's gotten REAL BAD since moving and I'm just. dying.

Anyway, now that I'm out of Hellcity-
"Hellcity" is Reno. I'm not going to say it's the Worst Place Ever, but it was stressful and aggravating to live in, the people tended to be two-faced, selfish, and irritable, the drivers were TERRIBLE (it was rare for me to get in my car and not, at some point, narrowly escape an accident, because people drive like neither your life nor theirs matter worth a damn), the pedestrians were perhaps the dumbest creatures on this good Earth, and it had this weird duality where there are enough people that you feel like there are a lot of opportunities to meet new folks and make connections but the space is so small that you actually have a really good chance (especially if you switch jobs in the same field) of just running into the same people.
College town, and people beyond the typical "college age" don't seem to outgrow the college-age-mentality (or maturity). Homelessness was a big problem but the city kept devoting tons of money to bonkers, nonsense, hideous art installations.
Everything was always disappointing in some way. If something good came along, you didn't get to enjoy it much before it all went away or fell apart. And having worked in several different businesses in my current field, all but one had the Reno branch known as the worst in the company.
But it's done now, and I'm out. Good luck to those I'll never see again. I'll only miss a few of you.

i think one of the most important things you learn about making connections with others is that a significant portion of the time people just do not know theyre doing what theyre doing
