so i went to LA to see stray kids with friends (who may make themselves known if they so choose) and i may never recover. it was amazing incredible wonderful perfect. i have all the feelings!!!!

my scattered thoughts:

- should he ever need to ride into battle, felix will have a devoted army of tween girls and their middle-aged dads to support him. honestly the cutest demographic trend in obvious bias-having fans. so many smitten tweens and fond dads wearing Felix merch and carrying felix signs. he is so beloved. i hope he knows.

- by contrast many of the twenty-something women wearing sexy club outfits and unwise shoes were screaming for hyunjin. there was swooning. good luck, babes. (i was screaming too. he's so great.)

- my very gay friend, immediately after "Burnin' Tires": "i'm totally a lesbian, but i would consider it." changin and i.n.: proven lesbian attractors.

- speaking of i.n., even those fashion photoshoots don't come close to doing him justice. that young man is stunning. on stage he's captivating and vibrant and just overflowing with charisma and energy. there were audible gasps whenever the focus was on him. everybody in the stadium was getting bias-wrecked by the maknae and loving it.

wait this got kind of long so

- and speaking of changbin pardon me but i had several moments. he's beautiful. his stage presence is insane. he's having so much fun. i think i kinda knew why so many songs start with changbin but the live performance makes it even more obvious. they start with him because when he starts you can't look away. he's a hook and it works every time.

- mr christopher chan bahng is even more of a charming dork in person than he is in video and that makes him 10000000000000x more attractive. he glows with joy. he looks and sounds amazing. his falsetto is lethal. his crowd control and stage presence are freaking insane. he has no trouble wrangling the attention of 50,000 people with just a smile and the world's cheesiest dad jokes. i hope he is always that happy.

- hey so it turns out that thing seungmin does where he harmonizes with his own backtrack while singing his whole heart out is in fact even more overwhelming in person. he does it with a proud little smirk and his confidence is everything to me. he has many many appreciative fans who scream very very loudly.

- "Cinema" is a whole experience and they sound so so so so beautiful and they're so handsome and it's so lovely but even better! (i swear i mean this with all the fondness.) even better are the moments during the concert when lee know is not the focus and kinda really does look like a cat wandered onto stage and is ready to make trouble. i don't understand how he switches from captivating center shouting loud enough to be heard from space to mischievous little kitty. i adore him with my whole heart.

- han jisung is a pocket-sized fireball of pure talent. i don't understand the alchemy. he's ten feet tall and he's *pinches fingers* this big and he raps like he doesn't have to breathe and you can't take your eyes off him. him doing his part + LiSA's part in "Social Path" is everything to me.

- "Miroh" live is a religious experience. i'm an atheist and i have decided that singing "Miroh" live in a stadium with ~50k of my closest friends is the only religion i need.

- the whole setlist is amazing obviously but other highlights: the unit songs are A+++ brilliant, cover me owns my soul, domino and topline will never disappoint. stray kids by stray kids feat. stray kids is so heartfelt. but really: everything is great. it's three hours of the brightest energy. they are all just fabulous performers.

- their live touring band is fucking insane. i expected that from having watched the lollapalooza livestream last summer but in person??? they are even better? they are incredible.

- seriously if you have a chance: go see stray kids. they are amazing. my expectations were sky-high and the concert blew past all of them easily. don't worry about the other fans if you are unsure or anxious about fitting in. everybody is there for a good time, from those little girls in their "I ❤ Felix" t-shirts to swarms of young people to weird older hippie couples to the many auntie squads to some obvious old metalheads to the grannies cheerfully telling everyone it's their first k-pop concert to the dad wearing the "i'm here for my daughter (and changbin)" shirt. it was such a warm and cheerful mood in the crowd.

- i'll probably never recover.

One Piece CH 1133: Praise Me

i dont usually read and post spoilers/leak before the official rollout but I'm just so excited about robin and saul grand reunion that i said to myself "you know what some rules are meant to be broken" and it's been a while since we got a robin-centered chapter. it's also kinda hard to avoid leaks/spoilers these days.

im so happy about robin and saul reunion. I'm glad that he is well and healthy because I was worried from the previous chapters.

she's now fully healed from the lost, sadness and loneliness. the straw hats with her as family/friends and reuniting with saul.

robin's cutting her hair back to its OG style is so sweet. i find it funny cos saul definitely saw her updated look through her bounty posters but she wanted him to remember her when they first met is something special plus we have a recreation of this scene ⬇️ is *chef's kiss*.

and it's also heartwarming that even though she wanted to go alone but the crew didn't leave her alone and went with her to support her and witness this very emotional reunion.

at the beginning of this ch we learned as a kid she at one point thought of jumping from a cliff and in the entire story of water 7/enies lobby robin's saying she wanted to die right here and now for thinking that someday the straw hats abandoning/betraying her like the rest of world.

that's why her asking saul to praise her is such a powerful moment. she survives this long and finds happiness. she learns to trust that there are people that will fight for her and love her and not be treated as a demon/monster like the rest of the world and the WG portrayed her to be.

but this is where i cried the most, when robin asked saul to praise her for living and saul praising her for living well. she suffered so much and she is now receiving all the love she deserved. 🥹

this is such a powerful scene and hit me like a train.

robin's progression from "i want to die" to " i want to live!" to "i want you to praise me for being alive!" is such a master class.

this is the best chapter for me. i know some people will say otherwise but for me this is why oda's story resonates so much.

of course this is a shonen manga people will be looking for world building, crazy powers and intense battle but behind all of it the heart and soul of one piece is the journey of each character.

these characters go through pain and suffering but they found healing and triumph and happiness. and we find comfort in knowing that there's more to this life.

as someone who's struggling personally i needed this kind of words to move forward.

i always have my moments but this story and characters like nico robin have been one of my inspirations. it helps me go through a lot.
