Have we considered that Aymeric de Borel may be the most beautiful man in the world? I'm not sure this has been sufficiently explored. I'm not even sure its legal. His voice actor only makes it worse, and has me heart broken over every unvoiced line.

I haven't been active here in a looooong time but I'm coming back because I've started playing FFXI and am wanting to blog about it!

Thank you :'D I really adored her silly side in earlier parts of Dawntrail, kind of filling the funny character gap that Lyse (and Papalymo) left behind.

Okay, so here are a collection of thoughts on 7.3 that I couldnt condense into a single joke post lol

- the "new" look for the hacked sentries was pretty cool. Its like they predicted my criticism of 14 in my 11 review that 14 didnt do enough "creepy" lol But I really liked the sentry that twisted its head around and walked backwards and the scene after of Geode getting surrounded. Some nice creepiness 👌

- Going to reiterate a point I made before. I dont think its like to happen, but I really want Shale to stay on as a reoccuring character. Make some kind of Technomancer job and shes set. Ejvi would also like more beautiful women with the scions.

-I cant remember if I posted about this in 7.2 but the moment Calyx started talking about killing the WoL to take the key, we really needed to hide it somewhere. I know we were confident we'd beat his ass, but as a safety measure that shit needed to be put somewhere he couldnt get it. Prime example is hiding it on the First. It was clear he cannot cross shards without the key, so we just hide it there until hes taken care of. I trust it more with Feo Ul and the pixies than carrying it in my pocket into his final boss chamber.

-I was suprised I didnt figure out the Primal angle sooner lol like it all made so much sense once it started. I started to get the feeling early, but the dawning realization came hard like "OH YEAH!! FUCKIN PRIMALS!"

-Necron was a much easier fight than Zalenia. Which makes sense, I've killed Necron once before, but Ive never beat Beatrix.

-WoL suddenly just has a magic shield to protect Sphene. I choose to believe that was just a special moment for me because Jalliim is lv 100 SCH

-I already made a whole post shouting about it, but it made me so happy that Jalliim actually drew his gun and fired it at the memory terminal. Ill assume that casting jobs will also use their casting animations? Cant wait to see what Capsisi, Kola and Ejvi do as NIN, VPR and RPR lol

-Overall, the new incidental/cutscene music, this whole patch has been great. I liked the creepy bell music with the sentries, and everything through the ending cutscenes had been really nice.

-As mentioned in another post, I kinda like that we do get a "revived" Living Memory. Though its mostly appealing to those of us currently playing who just had the "dead" Living Memory for over a year. A new player will get from 7.0 to 7.3 pretty quickly and wont really experience it quite the same. We been in there doin hunts and fates n such but they may not even see it, so thats a slight shame.

-This probably could be its own post, but I appreciate how much the writers kept Sphene and Endless Sphene as seperate identities and characters. That was so important to who Endless Sphene was (or wasnt) in 7.0, and Im glad they didnt treat original Sphene as "oh its the same character, dont worry :)" Especually in the ending portions of 7.3 as they including honoring her memory as a distinct person from original Sphene.

-Im glad I didnt pass judgment on Calyx on 7.2 alone. 7.3 helped flesh-out his motivations beyond "scientific andvancement Because I Can" and then the final cutscene let the mask slip in an appealing way. However, I wouldve been satisfied even with his nervous glances at his download speed, alone. Thats personality.

-Okay, so... Something I was really nervous about with the big talk of "Endwalker is the end of the story of Hydaelyn and Zodiark" was like... Even with the big 3 unsundered gone, the Ascians were a huge, HUGE part of the various shards development. There are gonna be remnants of their involvement. When we were getting the story of the Storm Surge, I kept asking when the shadowless man in the black robes would show up. Anyway, Im sure some people will have rolled their eyes out of their heads at seeing that voiceless cloak, but Im actually really excited to see where this is going to go. I am already Forming Theories.

Honestly, I did not expect this "chapter" to end in 7.3. I expected it to follow the format seen in the 6.X patches where all 5 were dedicated to one story, but it seems we're going back to form and I am chomping at the bit to see where we're going. Im glad we arent in a predictable zone rn Many doors

Gonna play 7.3 tgis weekend, but I never really did say anything about 7.2 MSQ cause I was focusing on 11 at the time. I only really had two big points:

1) "Evil Sphene" was an absolute delight. I loved how much she leaned into bein just an absolute bitch to the cast lmao I was severely disappointed that she was written out at the end.

2) Complete opposite, but I was instantly bored with Calyx. A frustrating and pretty generic character trope Ive just grown completely tired of whenever it comes up. Im not ready to seal judgement after a single introductary patch, and he still has the chance to develop a personality, but rn hes just... Im not really looking forward to it. I feel like we already tackled this topic well enough with the Ea.
