Been seeing a lot of "conflating zionism with judaism is antisemitic" bs the last few days. Also seen a lot of jews rebutting with "you are the ones conflating zionism with judaism!!" which is like so fair and i love yall but also
i AM conflating zionism with judaism. Zionism is a core part of my judaism. Zionism is a CORE PART OF JUDAISM. If you are 'anti-zionist' you are also antisemitic by definition. Sorry, but I'm tired of arguing with goyim about whether or not their opinion on MY deeply important cultural concept is correct or not, is hateful or not. You should not have an opinion at all. Period. Sit down, shut up, do something to actually help gazan citizens, and get the fuck out of jewish business.

Something the AI text boom has made me realize is that "no information" is significantly better than "wrong information."
I just saw Doordash AI describe a gallon of blue cheese dressing as a "sweet and refreshing beverage concentrate."

The UK government did an investigation into the porn sites that haven't yet implemented the age verification measures and they...I shit you not, they published a list. A LIST of all the porn sites. That you can still access without having to verify your age. They made a government employee make a list of all the porn sites and check if they have age verification and then they published a list of those that don't. For all the public to read.

Tbt to me seeing people selling human remains at a convention and being like “we have permits its legal!” But not being able to tell me WHERE they got the remains
Yeahhhhhh. That’s the thing. I don’t think human remains should be in private collections unless they’re your own body parts or they belong to someone you love (with their previous permission) and even if you know where these remains came from it doesn’t necessarily it ethical. If they’re recent and clean, there is every likelihood the seller is sourcing them through the overseas bone trade and getting them cheap from developing countries with remains disposal problems, the family of that individual may never know the bones of their loved one were stolen. Dead, unclaimed or unable to pay plot rent, flesh rended from bone and immediately on the expo table.
I’m an antique collector and I spend a lot of time in oddity spaces and the amount of times historical remains are found in antique stores TERRIFIES ME. Not just grave robbed bones from medieval crypts, those still disturb me but far less than things like Torres Strait Islander ornamented skulls, mokomokai, Aztec decorated skulls, shrunken heads, etc. So many times the ethnic group that created these have been BEGGING FOR THEM BACK FOR CENTURIES AND DECADES. And they’re being bought and sold alongside lamps and furniture. Physical remains of colonialism and white supremacy, PEOPLE thousands of miles away from where they were born and died. And the collectors who collect this get so angry if you mention it, if you tell them how to repatriate it, if you tell them how the Māori are still looking for the heads of their ancestors. It is so sickening.

A film festival in Toronto has pulled the screening of a documentary exposing the extent of the atrocities of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust because the terrorists who gleefully raped, tortured and slaughtered their way through 1200 human beings didn't give their permission for their footage.
Capitulating to such an absurd fucking demand from monsters who certainly didn't ask permission from their victims before violating and murdering them is the absolute height of extreme cowardice.

The occupation of Washington DC (17:54 local, August 14, 2025)
Tumblr media
Black dots and lines are reported sightings of federal law enforcement on patrol, setting up checkpoints, harassing residents, etc. Grey dots are the approximate locations listed in a "leaked" patrol assignment list floating around on TikTok; its legitimacy has not been verified. Note that this list is biased by a) what has been recorded, b) what has been posted online, and c) locations I can personally identify based on the available footage.
The invasion of DC's streets by US state security forces [ATF, DEA, ICE, FBI, Marshals Service, National Guard, etc.] earlier this week was hardly noticeable at first, but that's changing quickly. Apparently they were training and going over plans, but now that they've finished they're out in significant numbers. The rumor/word on the street is that there will be mass clearings of homeless camps tonight; a few well-documented homeless sweeps already took place this morning. The government is doing very little to communicate their plans to DC's citizenry (this is intentional; they want us in the dark).
It's obvious that the feds are working in concert with the DC Metropolitan Police Department, which was taken over by President Trump on Monday. The supplemental manpower has allowed MPD and other local DC police forces to act more aggressively than they usually do, going more on the "offensive." DC Mayor Muriel Bowser got on a plane to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts a few hours ago.

i worked at a park with a famous cliff people do indeed keep falling off and one day someone said, "why don't you just close off the trail?" and i said, "we can't make people make good decisions. we also can't close the Outside."

“The judge’s order makes it clear that we cannot judge a book by its cover or a maliciously selected excerpt out of context,” said Stephana Ferrell of the Florida Freedom to Read Project. “This means that the thousands of books that have been prohibited from student access without careful consideration of their value should be returned to shelves immediately. Florida cannot call itself the “freest state” while it blatantly violates the First Amendment rights of our youngest citizens.” Dan Novak, attorney for the plaintiffs, called the decision “a complete knockout. There’s not a single issue that the court did not side with the plaintiffs on,” per the Orlando Sentinel.
