Join me & my new crew experiencing sail life in our latest sailing episode as we leave the Red Frog anchorage on Isla Bastimentos, Panama & sail back to the town of Bocas del Toro on Isla Colon. In this weekly vlog episode, we are welcoming our new crew member from Germany. We had Florian and me on couch surfing, couch surfing, and, of course, the infamous Winne gets to play Captain in teaching the new crew how to steer Shanti in a straight line.

Anyone who has been living on a sailboat for some time knows over an extended period; an anchorage is not just a place to park/dock your boat. An anchorage, over some time, starts to form a community, a mini village of boaters living their day in & out on the water.

In this sailing latest episode, we meet Batty & Paul aboard their 1980 Vagabond 47. These classic sailboats were built in Taiwan by a prominent but long-gone shipyard and have sailed all over the world.

When the marina staff untied my lines because of some COVID restriction, I yelled and protested, but the wheel of bureaucracy won't be broken today. Hasty & disdained, I had to continue sailing ahead of a category 4 Hurricane affecting the Southwest of Guatemala & Belize, but we still got it wrong with 30nm knots winds & tons of rain.
