Miracle Children
My Aunt Charlotte said my Dad was staying with my grandma Jean after what happened in Barataria Bay. I stood in front of her Tavern, hesitant to go in. For the last twenty-three years, Damien and George were the ones who took care of me and raised me as their own.
I tried to remember my grandmother as I reached for the handle of the door, my party waiting behind me. She was an over-friendly woman who didn’t take any attitude from me when I was younger. Angelica put her hand on mine and nodded, lowering her hood. Something she never does. We waited for this moment, and we weren’t alone anymore.
“You can do it, mom.” Jingu placed his hand on my shoulder. “Grandpa would be proud you found them.”
I felt tears in my eyes but I blinked them away, my son was right, George would be proud. I looked at my family and my crew. If anything happened inside I would always have them to fall back too.
We opened the door and stepped inside. It was lively and welcoming, different from the Taverns we normally go too. A lady’s voice boomed over the crowd, “Theo! Could you help me over here!?”
The party and Jingu turned to look at me, but I knew I wasn’t being talked too. My father walked out from the back to help the little lady at the bar with a barrel. He lifted the barrel in place with her help.
Angelica tightened her grip on my hand as she watched our aged dad help our grandmother. Jean wiped the sweat off her brow and looked over at us, the smile of her face left with her sweat. She started to bat our Father’s arm to get his attention.
“What is it Mother-” His eyes fell upon us.
Angelica smiled with tears streaming down her pale cheeks, “Dad? It’s us. “ The Tavern grew quiet at the reunion. Our father studied us as he slowly moved closer. He looked like he saw a ghost, but I guess we were to him.
“My girls...” He reached for a lock of my hair and looked into my sister’s eyes, confirming our Aasimar traits. “My miracles... You’re really alive” His eyes started to water as he pulled us in for a hug.
Jean squealed in excitement and walked over too us. “You two blessin’s have gotten so big! And I mean, big.” She winked at me. “So, who’s your friends' girls?”
“Well,” My voice shook. “This is my son, and most of my crew...”

From the Grave
I stared at the familiar figure in front of me as she met my gaze. The bright red hair and the tattoo on her arm reminded me of someone, but I couldn’t reach the memory. She took a step closer to me words struggling to leave her lips, they hung in the air, “You have... metallic hair, just like...Theodosia...”
My party looked at the women than to me. I blinked, I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t remember this woman. “How do you know my name?”
I heard some groans from my friends but we ignored them as she stood in front of me and looked into my eyes. “We thought you died.” The woman grabbed my hand and squeezed it just like she used to every time she visited.
Pain struck me through the heart and a chill went through my spine. “Aunt Charlotte?” My aunt nodded, blinking back tears reaching me in for a hug.
“Your father will be so happy to hear you’re alive!”
I pushed her back, “Father is... alive?”
Charlotte nodded again, “Yes! He survived! Oh, Theodosia, he looked everywhere for you. After he couldn’t find your bodies he hunted down those brutes and killed half of their camp looking for you girls... Is Angelica with you or?...” She trailed off realizing amongst the people I was with, my sister wasn’t with them. My aunt started to shake, opening her mouth to speak more.
“She’s alive, she’s with my crew back at home-”
“Why didn’t you come and look for us!” She screamed.
I blinked, surprised at the sudden mood change, “You lived in Mistral- the guards took us into Vacuo’s foster care and before we could even be put in the system we were adopted then sold-”
Charlotte hugged me tighter, to the point it hurt to breathe. “You should have looked.”

Theo’s Crew Indroductions
Captain Theodosia "Thicc" Smith Age: 35 Height: 6.4 ft Weight 175lb Captain at age: 12 Theodosia never knew life in a homestead, she was always on the streets until one day she stow away on a ship heading to a different city where she could be a better person. Theo got caught but charmed the Captain of the ship with her beauty and kill him as she seduced him. As she brought the head of the captain out of the quarters she proclaimed herself as the captain and if anyone else decided they wanted to stop her they would meet the same fate. From that moment on Theodosia became one of the youngest woman Captains of her time. Finding the Pirates life to be her calling. Never having to be tied down to any place but it still had its pleasures. As Theodosia grew up she became more known as Captain Thicc. She's mainly known on the seas not a force to be messed with. That was until Atlas guidelines decided to rule the sea. Because of her family history Theodosia kept to a Neutral Good Nature while on the seas so she decided use her skills to attempt protecting the ones who reminded her of herself when she was younger across the seas.
Angelica 'Jaclyn' Smith (First Mate) Age: 28 6'0 Ft 164 lbs Joined Age 25 Since Angelica could remember she was first alone on the streets. Her foster family dumped her in the middle of no where after deciding they couldn't use her Aasimar trait for money and after losing control of her power. As she traveled to the next town she stumbled upon a vampire worshiping cult in the woods. Before Angelica could realize what was going on and run away she was caught, and made one of their own that night. With her new family came a new name, Jaclyn. As her captures taught her about her new abilities she used her Aasmiar powers to escape but it got out of control. She slaughtered everyone in the house and everyone in the town. Even though she found freedom after that night she still had a thirst for blood. Soon Angelica found that the easiest prey was drunken sailors visiting the ports. After becoming an Entertainer for years she perfected her methods, but not her powers. That was until one day she decided to prey on an expecting Powder Monkey. As they were about to leave she was grabbed and thrown onto a far table. Once she looked up she saw familiar red hair. It was her older sister Theodosia. Instead of preying on the boy that night her sister had other plans for her.
Helena "Hell Fire" Scott (Gunner) Age: 223 5'6 153 Joined age 205 Helena has always used her abilities for her wants and needs. Taking money from men and woman, tricking hunters, etc. You know the fairy tale the boy that cried wolf? She's the wolf, she will fool you every time. In her time of living she's seen so much, that was until she was almost killed. One night while trying to hustle a man he started to tear her soul away from her body. Never has Helena never been so frightened. She shifted into a defense, turning into a monster. Scaring the man away, at least for awhile. Helena started her search to learn more about this power, it devoured her soul but she still screamed for answers. After encounters with many other Soul Manipulators she always found away to survive. Gaining the name Hell Fire since she toured her own soul. One night, depressed about not finding out anything more she met a Captain in a bar who chuckled upon hearing the Succubus's nickname. Offering the demon work and travel to help find her answers as long as she helped protect her crew and ship. Helena agreed and after joining Theo's crew she's been able to indulge in her tricks once again and safe-fully gain little intel about her these Soul Manipulators.
Elizabeth "Calypso" Wilson (Boatswan) Age: 48 5'1 134 Join Aged: 32 Elizabeth has always been a child of the sea. Always loved her elemental training, even if her practice sessions often sunken ships. Soon Elizabeth decided it would be best to practice outside of her kingdom, traveling inland to perfect abilities. Once she traveled to the nearest town from the sea she learned they were in a time of drought. She used her powers to create drinking water for them and was worshiped as a local legend Calypso. Long after Elizabeth returned to the sea to find a man fell over board and helped him back on his ship by lifting him back on board with the water. Theodosia saw this as helpful and offered passage on her ship so she would still be close to home and was free to visit whenever she liked. Structen by the man she saved and bored with her little sea legacy she agreed. After sailing with Theodosia the name Calypso became a, a wife and a legend until they encountered enemy ships and they'd face her elemental wrath.
Jaylin "Blood Lust" Johnson 27 7'1 282 Joined Age 21 Jaylin was sold from a young age from the Black Market to a Vampire as his pet. She grew up her taste for blood also grew, begging to be turned but never did. Enraged she staked her Master in his sleep, freeing herself from his grasp. As he died she drank his dead blood, which sparked her need for more. She didn't want to become a vampire, nor did she want to be anything like a vampire but she found that she was obsessed with the art of blood. She studied blood weapons, how to preserve blood, even read how to control blood of her enemies. By the time she was an adult she knew everything there was to know about blood and it's properties. One day day she decided to leave Atlas, advancing her knowledge of blood. Eventually after traveling Jaylin ended up on Theo's ship, as a prisoner, She was to be traded for a kid name Benjamin. As Theo's crew made the trade they attacked the other pirates, freeing Jaylin in the process, after being free she helped fight. After seeing her powers, the Captain asked her to join her crew, telling her she'd be allowed to continue to study her skills and have protection through the seas. Jaylin agreed to the terms and eventually became Quarter Master. It wasn't long after Jaylin was recruited did she gain the name "Blood Lust", in her quarters she was able to keep a much blood as she liked and was able to practice on stowaways and enemies. That was until she had to share her deal with Angelica.
Damien "Drunken" Jones 45 6'0 169 Joined Age 22 Damien always knew the life of the sea, but he wasn't always a pirate. His father was a navy man from Atlas. Although Damien was born in Vale he's known Atlas and the sea as his home. Because of his father's ranking Damien was expected to follow into his father's footsteps. It didn't take long for Damien to climb the ranks of navy seal but his first voyage across the sea he got word of loosing his family to a dust incident. That night he started to drown his sorrows in rum. That night they also found a little girl aboard the ship the captain decided to take care of her himself in his quarters. Everyone went silent. Asking if it was right or wrong to let the captain have his way with the child, before anyone decided to help her or not she walked out of the room holding up his Captain's head. Some men decided to fight the girl, but to everyone's surprise she grew wings and slaughtered anyone who tried to stop her. When she walked up to Damien he bowed to the Deity's child swearing to serve under her as her Sailing Master and mentor as they sailed. His new Captain agreed to these terms. Damien raised Theo into the Captain she is today, healing his heart of his lost child but also seeing her as a reminder that she can never return home.
Jingu Williams: Age 16 5'7 156 Joined Age 10 Jin was born in Menagerie but never liked his home. He hear stories from his 'Uncle' Sun about the world and how he'd always would stowaway on boats to explore it and get where he needed to go. Of course Sun was seen as the crazy town Uncle in their part of the village. Jun always believed Sun's stories and wanted to have some of his own therefore one night he left a note for his family telling them he was going to explore the world and will visit soon as he can. Jungu took all of his savings and the clothes on his back and snuck on a ship. Thinking he was clever as the ship started into the sea, he was caught by a drunken man and dragged by his tail up on deck. The Crew stared at the young boy but the Captain smiled. She understood his need for adventure and offered her ship as his home for that adventure. He was excited, Captain Theodosia herself taught him the ropes of how to be a sea dog as Damien did for her. It was only about a few months later when they heard word that there was a bounty to bring Jin home. Theo reassured the boy that he didn't have to go back if he didn't want to, it was his life. Jingu never went back home after that, but he did write letters to his Uncle Sun telling him of his adventures.
George "Ol' Captain" Kidd 67 5'11 178 joined 45 Before George cooked for his Atlas Navy fleet he actually severed on deck for many years as Captain Kidd. That was until he was forced to retire because his crew believed he was crazy. He was well respected until one night a little girl decided to over throw the ship. As a druid he knew she had to be scared on a ship full of angry men of all ages therefore he treated her as if she was his own. Quickly the two gained a bond, Theodosia saw George as her Happy guardian and Damien as her mentor. When the girl couldn't confine in Damien she went to George. Kidd would tell the girl of all his adventures on the sea, about his family and his heritage as a faunus.
Henry “Pussy Destroyer” Gibbs 48 6.11 172 Joined 26 Henry came from a middle class family. They didn’t have the world but they lived comfortably. But, Henry always wanted to be something more. That calling came when his mother died. His family would be knocked off their foundations, to get away from his father he joined the military in Atlas. Unexpectedly a young girl stowed away on the ship and killed his captain. He liked her attitude and decided to follow her will for freedom.
Kira Shingami 85 6'2 166 Growing up as an aasimar is never easy, especially if people know you're an aasimar. Kira grew up outside the kingdoms, usually in fear that a traveler would come and take her away from her family, yet at the same time she wish they did. Kira's father was a drunk and a gambler after losing her mother shortly after she was born to some humans. Because of her father's behavior she was treated as a maid, expected to do all the housework and protect herself while her father was away. Kira soon grew to hate her life, nothing mattered anymore. The only thing that brought some life back into her is when she finally snapped back at her father after one night he began to drunkenly abuse her. She knocked him out and left home. Soon her soul would become dark as she encountered the outside world from her home, darker then before. kira stopped caring and would slaughter anyone who got in her way. She was done getting pushed around, and gained the name Shinigami. By the time she learned she was a Fallen Aasmir she didn't care. She knew nothing about other Aasimars, and it matched her style. Girma spoke to her one day, offering her to become a Deathslinger for him. Seeing how she was already connected to the Gods, Kira didn't see why not. As time went on, Kira got comfortable living in the present and longer then her expected life span, after a few years of experience as a Deathslinger she no longer feared death. Since Kira saw herself as basically immortal she decided to roam the world, learn from it and do her duty to Girma. By the time she was in her mid twenties Kira finally learned she knew a cantrip after being in Vacuo. This sparked her interest in magic and her other aasmir abilities her father never taught her therefore she seek this out along with other magic. One day, she stumbled upon what she was looking for, a witch who would teach her about her abilities and the power of Hexes.

Captain’s Log #7
Winter 1451
I spent most of my days learning from Damien. So far in the week Mr. Jones has taught me how to navigate the stars tie the correct knots and stir the ship. I’ve managed to learn that his family died in a dust explosion in Mantle, since he’s lived his life on the sea. Every time I try to know more he pushes me away, asks about my past, and when I don’t tell him he starts to drink.
So far I haven’t said anything. Maybe I should so I can get more information about him since he’s taking care of me we should trust one another. Other then George and Henry no one else has shown me kindness. George Kidd is the Chief, he said he retired from the navy but still loved the sea so they kept him in the kitchen. Him and his parrot make great company when Damien gets angry, drunk or both. Then there’s Henry... Henry Gibbs. He’s the closest to my age on the ship. When George and Damien are busy I follow him around, he doesn’t seem to mind as long as I don’t get in the way.
Damien says to stay away from Henry and let him do his job. Right now he’s just a powder monkey but I told him if he stays a part of my crew he could be a higher rank. That’s when he told me he wanted to be a boatswain, and we made a promise. At dinner George teased me about Henry and Damien told me he was only nice because I was a naive little girl.
George tried to lighten up the situation but deep down I knew I was naive when it came to sailing. But, now I was free and the crew was free to do whatever they pleased. Damien chose to help me. Henry chose to be nice to me and make the deal to stay a part of my crew. I pointed my sword at Damien and I told him he didn’t have to help me and since he didn’t have anything to live for I could put an end to his misery right now. George tried to settle me down but I threaten him too, I knew I could easily take out everyone on the ship and so did they.
Mr. Jones sighed and drank his rum telling me I was right. It wouldn’t be a bad idea but he wanted a chance to raise a child and since I had blood from a deity this was an answer to his prayers. I was his savior from his hell. I lowered my sword, and we agreed to once again be mentor and student. In return I told him and George about my past. How I was used by my foster parents as a working girl to earn them coin, how they casted away my younger sister for not having the correct Aasimar traits. They both listened to my tale and soon I began to cry I longed for freedom and finally...
I have it.

Captain’s Log #Burn Baby Burn
Last night I had a little too much to drink through the night, normally I can hold my liquor better thanks to Damien. After waking up I learned that Crimson had also slept Quickly I ran after my mateies, catching up to them in a clearing going against the White Fang. The leaders of the group questioned Crimson and I as we came into view which Phoenix spoke up and told them we were allies.
Apparently these three agreed to help in our quest therefore they took us on ahead. Outside of this base area there were several guards on each side of the door, the group decided it would be best for the leaders to distract them as we went ahead inside. I was in shivers since it worked. But my timers weren’t as bad as the guards inside. We were able to get the jump on a few. Ragnar and I went ahead down the hallway after who seemed to be the leader of the white fang.
Soon we defeated the guards in our way, and some who wasn’t and caught up to this leader. Once confronted she told us we passed a test and ran away. Confused we followed her again, once we met up she showed us magic much like Phoenix then offered us a deal. If we joined her cause, she would help Phoenix with her magic and help us against Adam. Which, I personally didn’t see a problem in, because we could always back out when she didn’t have an upper hand.
Therefore I joined, but apparently Crimson, Dreg and Ragnar didn’t want too. Which I personally didn’t understand. We were asked to step behind her guards, and when Kamau and Brutus did two figures came out of the corridor. Personally they scared me at first because I wasn’t expecting more people. Phoenix questioned this Azula as she put our three friends in a magical barrier to fight the guards to test the again. It was too bad the guards had orders not to kill. I would of liked to see Dreg and Crimson near death for what they did to the Temptress.
I enjoyed the magically cage match as our friends won, but they only won to do it all over again in the next room against more white fang goons. I didn’t feel bad because this girl did give them another chance. I felt bad for Phoenix though, she felt for each of her friends as they took each hit. Being the main healer of the group, I’m sure it really pained her to watch this and not be able to do anything. For Kamau and Brutus they seemed to be between Phoenix and I’s view points of this.
Crimson was the first one down out of the three. I hoped he learned a lesson from this, but with my little time knowing this kid, he probably didn’t. Dreg and Ragnar managed to fend off the rest. Azula brought us through a secret passage, I attempted to stay behind to loot the room but the goonies wouldn’t leave the room without me. After that they pushed me through the rest of the area, until she brought us to a door too Adam’s room. There were more faunus inside along with a water gensai. One of these faunus stood out the most because she had ears and a tail.
Adam ordered an explanation why we were hear. I spoke up and explained the situation leaving out we were going to kill him, but then Kamau and Phoenix opened their mouths. Therefore I stepped away. I knew how dangerous Adam was from the rumors, I knew Kamau and Brutus did too so the whole situation was looking a bit Grimm.
As Phoenix and Kamau kept talking the angrier the murderer got. I knew without seeing the look in his eye he wanted to send us all to Davy Jones’s Locker. He still offered the rest of us to join him, promising to give a favor in return for joining. It was tempting, there was more white fang members joining Adam every day, they could find the others rapidly compared to me with this party. I had to think about this quick before the offer was off the table.
I agreed to follow him. But there was a catch, the ones who didn’t join Adam’s side was to be tested. If they lost the battle they became prisoners and if they won, they’d go free. Phoenix volunteered herself out of her, Dreg and Ragnar. In their fight Phoenix was able to dodge most of the faunus’s attacks and heal herself if hit. It was a grueling fight to watch. The girl kept getting annoyed by Phoenix’s healing. but it didn’t last long until Phoenix was down. Adam pushed to kill Phoenix, when she didn’t he ordered us all to kill Phoenix, Dreg and Ragnar.
Things turned quickly. Nailah was now against Adam for not honoring the fight. Therefore most of us ganged up against Adam and the other members inside. Most of the members inside looked conflicted about the battle. It didn’t surprise me. The one I fought took extra damage too my sword. After fighting, Kamau, Brutus and Crimson left with Adam and the others. Everyone was banged up except for me at this point. The bad part was we were split up and my chances of finding my crew quicker was gone. Although we did gain Nailah and her friend as allies for now.
Honestly out of everyone in the group I learned that I knew very little about magic compared to everyone else in the party. The three I was with seemed to figure out the magic barrier almost straight away while I was clueless. Damien and George never taught me magic growing up, but I also never had an interest in it since Henry never did. Gods know they probably tried. When I get them all back, I should probably ask them, Jaylin, Helena and Elizabeth for some magic lessons just in case we ever got separated like this again.
This made me wonder what else I was clueless about without them. Hopefully it wasn’t much else because that would make me a bad captain if I didn’t know how to acknowledge and deal with things on my own. Although, I should take this journey and Azula’s test as a sign to make sure I never get separated from my family again. Seeing the party almost die made me worry about my crew more. We worked best together like these kids. I just prayed that we’d find them soon, or they’d find each other.

Captain’s Log #Crash and Burn
Winter 1486
Today was terrible, my ship was ambushed, I was separated from my crew, too make things better the group of kids from the other day blew up the Temptress and crashed it into the side of an island.
Back to the start, Greith’s men attacked my ship. Why? We have never had a banter before but I can only think of the worse. When we were ambushed by over 50 men, my crew highly out numbered but nothing we haven’t dealt with before. Damien may be human but his abilities combined with Helena’s magic should of been enough but with the amount of dust these goons had on them we were over powered.
No one was dragged away without a struggle. I watched as my crew was taken before being knocked out. When I woke up I was being dragged on land. Quickly I unleashed my wings and surprised my kidnappers. I managed to get out of their grasp and defend them off. The moment I put away my wings, was the moment I heard familiar voices. Not the ones I wanted to hear but at the time friendly faces. They all rushed in to help. None of them did much since I finished most of my attackers off but that wouldn’t prepare me for what happened next.
In the building next to us, suddenly there was yelling, out came out Orcs and a huge man all wielding multiple weapons. They busted through the doors and we all did a weird introduction before more of Greith’s men came in.
Once those men were taken out more Orcs shown up. We search the buildings on the island. One of the kids destroyed my chest upon finding it but did let me keep all of it’s contents. I frantically searched around for my crew members only to find nothing but a bunch of other’s Greith imprisoned in the dungeon. After seeing them and the limbs in the room upstairs it made me wonder what they were going to do with me. Didn’t matter because nothing could of been worse then seeing the Temptress burn to ashes on the side of the island.
The fury I felt was almost as strong as it was the day I became Captain. I worked so hard to have a ship of my own and now it was gone. When I reconvened with the others I asked them as calmly as I could who destroyed my ship. The two hooded ones proclaimed it was them, I almost stabbed them right there but I remembered I needed to find my crew. Right then I didn’t give them much of a choice to help me find them. After clearing out the two faunus girls apologized for what happened to my ship, which calmed me down greatly. It showed they had heart, something the hooded ones didn’t have. The others’? I couldn’t tell you other then they were a strange group and I needed to get my crew back.
I learned while we traveled to the next town this group was heading to meet with the current White Fang leader Sienna Kahn. Which if my memory is correct, they were carrying out orders for Gemstone. Therefore I could only wonder what Gem wanted with the White Fang. I would have to ask Lepus next time I’m in Vale since the more these kids try to explain their reasoning to burning my ship the more I want to kill them.

Captains Log # Who knows
Winter 1486
Today the strangest group boarded my ship. What was even stranger is that they had orders from the Headmistress Gemstone Kyoki of Beacon. Usually I would coin travelers a fair amount of pay but because they were on a quest for Gem I let them on for free.
Angelica did not like that I let them on for free even after I explained why. Helena on the other hand understood since she has been with me the longest next to Damien, but the old man couldn’t stand up for me since he was already at the bottom of a rum barrel. George didn’t seem to care either way, the two hooded boys from the group gave him good company. The old chief also teased me about the eyeing me. Which catching the eye from younger travelers was not my intention.
But catching the eyes of Atlas Navy Soldiers wasn’t either. They boarded our ship while I was below deck enjoying my cup of spiced rum. Already frustrated because they know my ship well I walked up on deck anyway to find them harassing the group of strange kids. they keep insisting that the kids are part of this gang, and so on, when I step in I can tell the Captain guard is just being macho. I noticed by how he looked at me. He was fresh meat on the water here and probably heard about what I have done with other Atlas men to get them to stop harassing the Temptress.
I invited the man to ‘talk’ in my quarters. He told me a I lived up to my name, “Captain Thicc.” and we got down to business. While it was a pleasant time, I’ve had more memorable talks in my quarters with my dear friend Kira. After giving the man my persuasion he agreed to let the kids go. I told myself then that if Gem doesn’t owe me, her sister at least does.
The kids barely thanked me. I didn’t mind too much they were kids. Hopefully, they won’t cause me any more trouble because having the Atlas Military up my ass about check points and such is already a pain. If it happens again, my reputation with Atlas might grow weaker then it already is on these waters.
