When you go for a walk outside, what do you hear? The sound of the birds or the rush of traffic? Regardless of what you experience, I imagine that you do not walk around fearing for your life, knowing you could die any second. *But this is the reality for the people of Gaza.*

Just a few minutes ago, the occupation forces bombed a mosque as I was walking by it. There was debris everywhere, the sound pierced my ears, and it was difficult to breathe from all the dust. The ground shook violently, as did my soul. You can see the destruction in the photos I just took:

There is not a single place where we can find safety or respite. Hospitals, mosques, our own homes - they all have been reduced to rubble beneath our feet. Are these not places that should be protected? Are these not places that would be considered sacred? And yet we are not allowed a single moment of rest! No matter where we go, artillery,, and bombs will follow us. Danger will follow us no what.

My family and I are constantly in danger. This is the “normal” here, but we all know it shouldn’t be!

I am wondering how many times I need to barely escape death in order for you all to help me. How much more displacement? How much more destruction? How many more of my people have to die for you to take action?
