“Right, right, my dear king. I understand you want to sleep more. But! It is time for you to rise. The sun is out, and it is time for breakfast! Get up, and brush your teeth!” The crow opened the windows, and whipped off the blanket, folding it neatly. Hearing the groggy, and complaining noises from the god, he could only giggle. Leaning down, and kissing the other on the cheek, he then pinched it, smiling widely. The other quickly got up, nearly glaring at the crow, but Mel giggled at the sight. “Have you woken up yet?”

❥ - nose

Eris had brought Mel to the amusement park, due to the crow pleading numerous times. Luna Park, it was called. Going on the Tea Party ride, Lynn’s Trapeze, the go-kart track, and much more, it was certainly a fun, and adventurous day. Though, maybe one or two, or six times, Mel may have cried. At the end of the day, when they probably went on almost all the rides, the crow laughed, smiling through and through. Placing a quick kiss on the god’s nose, he gave him a tight squeeze. “Today was really fun! Thank you, so so much Eris!”

❤ - lips

“I’m home~ Oh? The king is in his room?!” Giggling, he tip-toed into the god’s room. Eris had holed himself in his room all day, while Mel had been gone. A pile of empty pop-cans had been stacked in one corner, and empty chip bags in another. Pouting, he switched on the light, putting his hands on his hips. “What did I tell you about eating junk food!” Slapping his hands on the god’s cheek, he pecked the other’s lips, before smiling. “Punishment! Now, help me clean up!”

❣ - forehead

Rain had poured down, as the droplets fell onto the window. But it couldn’t hide the crow’s face. “Eris… please wake up.” He could feel his energy sapping away, as he tried to heal the other. He couldn’t tell if it was working, but the god’s hand was still warm. He was still alive. He placed a kiss on the god’s forehead, while tears spilled from his eyes, like a waterfall. He felt like passing out. But he has to stay awake. He didn’t want to be asleep when Eris would wake up. Because… Eris would surely wake up, right?

❦ - hand

Giggling, as the god pouted, he placed his hand on top of the other’s hand. How Eris had gotten hurt, the crow had not a single idea. Quickly healing him, Mel entertwined his fingers with the other, kissing his hand lightly. “Pain, pain, go away~ Don’t come back another day~ Be careful next time, okay?”

♡ - back

The crow had felt confident in himself, ready to show off the flower crown that he made. Running to the god, he smiled widely in glee. “Eris~ Look at what I ma--” Before he could finish his sentence, he tripped, losing hold of the crown, which had landed somehow on the god’s head, while the crow’s lips on the god’s back. Scrambling off, he smiled nervously. “...Surprise?”

۵ - shoulder

Hugging the other, he put his arms around his shoulders, giving them a peck. He patted the god’s back reassuringly, trying to ease him. “Eris. Don’t worry. It’s going to be okay. I’m here for you! Take deep breathes, and just relax.” It was a stormy night, and Eris had been quite restless. Mel didn’t know what the reason was, but he would comfort him. He would forever be by Eris’ side, until the god says he doesn’t need the crow anymore.

The crow smiled, stroking his god’s hair, while he had laid in his lap. It was amusing, how he sometimes acted like a child. It was peaceful, and relaxing. The other had started a story of the first war, while the crow had listened, albeit in fear. Mel wonders himself, how he still manages to stay with Eris, while they are two complete opposites. But he shrugged it off. Mel was happy with Eris, and it seemed Eris was happy with Mel.

“Yes, yes. A fantastic story. Now please get up, oh god of strife and discord. I need to make dinner.” He giggled as the god had complained, but kissed the top of his head. “A kiss to make you stop complaining. Now please move yourself to the dining table!”

☣-; Laughing wildly as he watched the humans cover themselves in red, the god looked on from the sidelines, going so far as to fall down on his knees in laughter at how completely idiotic they were. So easy to manipulate, so easy to toy with, it was amazing! Alas, his antics had gone too far this time, and were perhaps the human equivalent of the war over Apeiron. How many did this make them… three? Yes, three large scale, all out wars where no one–soldier or civilian, was safe. They would use any means necessary to get the advantage, it was brilliant! The tactics used were almost as underhanded and deceitful as Eris himself. In fact, he couldn’t help but participate in some of the blood shed as well. Only helping in battle, he reveled in dousing himself with bloodshed before quietly slipping out to watch from the sidelines again, like a shadow.

☣-; Not even Harmonia could insert peace now where there was only carnage and treachery; in fact, Eris himself had stopped pulling the strings long ago–this was all on the humans. They were the ones who continued the killing, he was but an observer.

☣-; As a winged figure flies next to him and takes the form of a human though, he’s prepared to jump into the fray once more and disguise himself as one of them in order to avoid the tongue-lashing he would’ve gotten from one of the others gods (be them minor or major), but as he sees it’s his crow, he immediately exits his fight-or-flight mode and instead, stands and spreads his arms to the battle below them. “Look at this–isn’t it great, Mel? Look at how stupid they are! This might just be the greatest thing I’ve started since the Trojan War!” 

It had been late, and Eris still hadn’t returned. Mel had gotten worried. Eris didn’t take his phone. He had no way to contact him. He quickly transformed into his crow form, and took off. It had been a while since he had flew, soaring across the buildings. The air felt nice, but the crow wouldn’t let that distract him. He needed to find Eris, and quick. How he didn’t come home was worrying, especially when it was this late.

But the crow heard something... strange. Something you wouldn’t normally hear, and he soon stared at where it came from. The scent had reached his nose, as he identified quickly everything that was going on. He hated that scent, that smelled like metal. Further looking around, he found the person he was looking for, transforming into his human form, his wings still out. He knew the cause. Eris.

Swooping down, he tucked away his wings, glancing at the chaos below, barely able to contain himself from leaving that instant. The crow’s frown had only grew, and grew. He could only stand, horrified at the sight below, before the god, albeit minor, had shook him out of his daze.

He looked at the god’s eyes. They... had nothing in them. Only chaos and destruction. They weren’t the same eyes that had looked at Mel. They were different, as if the only thing Eris could think about was bloodshed. It scared him. He wanted to leave. This wasn’t the Eris he had known. It was someone else. There was no way... right? Eris, albeit the god of discord and strife, hadn’t caused much killing. At least, as far as Mel knew. But this... He didn’t know what to do, as he stared at the ground, biting his lip.

Gripping the other’s sleeve, he looked the god straight in the eyes, tears threatening to spill out. “Eris... please stop this. Please. Let’s go home.“

“Ah, I must be getting home soon, it’s almost time for dinner!” Sitting up from the bench, he dusted off his clothes, smiling at the other. He would have to return quickly, or Eris would get out his multiple bags of Doritos, and eat them without stopping. He smiled, placing a little kiss on the god’s nose. “It was nice talking to you. May we meet again!”

☮ - friendship headcanon 

Mel would get along with Aerith very well!! He mainly spends his time indoors. The fact that Aerith would possibly show Mel rainbows… he’d be amazed every single time. Over all, Mel would be very affectionate with hugs, and such! Mel likes playing with other’s hair, and would probably put Aerith’s hair in pigtails, braids, and such!

Mel loves nature, especially flowers! He’d probably make crowns from the flowers that sprout from Roselle’s feet, and decorate her with them! I think, over all he would get along with anyone, but definitely Roselle (and Eris) the most!
