My grand uncle Harold R. Ten Eyck, Lieutenant Commander, Navy during WWII aboard carrier Essex, Pacific Theater | I have been working on family history and conveying documents to our two archives at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, Zimmerman Library and the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum (where this photo now resides). Busy!

I have been collecting vegetarian recipes on Pinterest for several years. A few years ago, I removed white flour, refined sugar, butter and 90% of all dairy products from my diet. What happened surprised even me! I lost weight and I started to feel better than I had in 20 years. What you eat when younger isn't necessarily the best for you in your older years. I had to rethink my entire (extensive) collection of recipes: 98% of those had to be tossed: not convertible. I had to re-learn how to cook. This is a work in progress, of course!
