nobody gives a fuck about marieva except me well thats fine but maybe you should consider it. thinking about the fact that theres so much tension between them that when eva dies daniil instantly thinks maria must have killed her with absolutely no evidence. despite the fact that eva is literally one of maria's utopians who she charges daniil with protecting on day 1. the fact that maria doesn't care if you think she killed eva even though eva says she didn't you know she blames herself. thinking about the fact that maria:peter::andrey:eva. what if we were both girls and we were dating twins and i was dating the one most reminiscent of you and you were dating the one most reminiscent of me. eva telling us constantly in envious terms how much everyone in the world loves maria, how much better maria is than her, even though everyone else seems to prefer eva. maria telling us "she strives to touch the mysteries of my family" and playfully daring her through daniil to look closer. maria referring to eva disdainfully as easy, underdressed; maria who never drinks or does drugs. but she still tells daniil "it does you credit to stand up for her". eva who will never see other worlds and maria who can only see stars. and maria, whose house is a viewing gallery for the cathedral, gets to be eva's neighbor until the end of time. does anyone else have ANY thoughts about this

And to say nothing on how they DEBUTCHIFIED YULIA!!!

cannot get over pathologic 2's obvious redesign ethos being stripping away all the more obviously modern design elements to unstick the town from a fixed point in time (things what were cool in 2005). Clara's denim jacket and skirt, the Stamatin's trenchcoats and Capella and Taya's whole outfits had to be redone and Daniil's coat was bloodbornified to make it less goth and more fantasy. And then they gave up with that and gave Eva a fringe and a ponytail.

and I'm not mad about the direction they took her in! I feel like especially in Artemy's route it gives her something to do. I do kind of miss her being a rural lady obsessed with the romanticism of the capital and therefore latching onto Daniil but that separates her pretty heavily from the rest of the npcs (which is like, the point imo). Her only interactions were with the other Utopians outside of Yulia. But fucking. The clothes. And I get the intention! It's meant to be a really bad imitation of the herb brides it's meant to look shit. But it looks so shit. At least make her "skirt" match her top instead of being a grubby hand towel wrapped around her hips. They didn't even keep her nose from the concept art.

i like the implication that dankovsky might not have the same inventory management tetris that burakh did purely because he's carrying around a Fuckass Purse that he can put shit in. (i mean, most of those items are previously established as 1x1 anyway, but that never-before-seen yellow bottle seems like it'd be a 2x1 item in patho 2.)
