Do not apologize I agree so much. I feel like for the most part I like snw when it’s not messing with tos canon like when it’s focusing on original characters or minor characters from tos it’s fine but as a Spock fan it is a hard watch. It’s like the writers just don’t understand Spock as a character and he feels so disconnected from tos. As for the new episodes I’ve only seen the first two from the new season and I thought the first one was decent but the second was totally ridiculous imo. I mean Spock dances to Wham! Like really??? Wham?!?

Bro idk if this is a controversial take or not but I do not want spirk to be canon in any capacity. Like we have 60 years of fan content there’s absolutely no way that if it was made canon it would compare to all of that. Also imo spirk is canon enough to me. Like both tos and the movies made it abundantly clear that Kirk and Spock have a strong bond with each other and that whether you interpret it as platonic or not they’re basically soulmates. Plus it wouldn’t make sense on snw since that show is a prequel to tos.
