Deep Sea Mer-Rover Polychephaly of the MARINE Alliance & Outskirt Warrior Buzzsaw of the Skibidi Tribe Who would've thought the two would find each other more than just scientific curiosity?

Mer AU Notes

Polycephaly is apart of MARINE Alliance or the Marine Archipelago Research Institute & Nautical Exploration Alliance and pretty much the love child between the Research and Exploration Branches

He's a sea robot built to be a deep sea & merfolk rover to study said subjects hence the merfolk build he sports.

The kelp/claw disguised extension acts as self defense mechanisms, idea being that they can charge plasma for blasts or generate a similar to Polycephaly's Detaining Claws canon-wise.

Polycephaly has a state-of-the-art warp drive built for underwater pressures for easy transportation of the self and marine samples for MARINE labs.

Fish and general marine life in general tend to be hypnotized by Polycephaly's screen light funnily enough.

Other than his curious sailor's mouth, the marine life that fluttered around Polychephaly was what drew a certain Skibidi mer to him.

Buzzsaw is a member of the Skibidi Tribe, a split off branch of the more bloodthirsty Astro Tribe and is an accomplished warrior to say the least.

He's a coral reef merfolk with stronger than usual deep sea siren traits usually assigned to the front-line when it comes to battle and outskirt duty keeping away or investigating outsiders off it.

In merfolk culture, names are given to a mer when they've accomplished something of note, otherwise, they referred as their status or profession like 'fry' for young or 'sentry' for guards and the like.

Buzzsaw got his name through battle and the buzz saw weapon he uses attached to his amputated right hand that works through the brilliance of 'Old Mer Scientist's' reverse engineering and refitting.

Buzzsaw's Nautilus-Coral 'headphones' is an obligatory Full Moon (Skibidi Tribe) or Fang (Astro Tribe) Rite Gift for reaching adulthood in merfolk society.

The glasses were a novelty find of his from a recent passing cruise ship he happily wore as part of his trademark.

Any who─ it's Mermay! (And almost the end sorry ihgvbdw)─ and of course, I got struck with a beam of brainworms via @luciledrakkhen and ended up drawing something I usually would never do─ ship art of canon characters I have no preference for shipping.

And whether its that reason or whatever tho, I made it and I actually like how it turned out for once which is an especial surprise considering this is my first time actually drawing again in MONTHS.

Camera Faction Seems like a certain unit went off and pissed off one of the coordinating officers, again. But again, it's nothing new, just a normal Tuesday really.

Speaker Faction The Science Department isn't expecting much, a single day off would be the greatest gift they all could possibly receive from their Chief Scientist but of course, to their despair, it's a half paperwork off coupon from a present. (Humor?? From him??? The world is ending dear Titans─!!!)

TV Faction It's fairly normal on the TVs side of things. Gin is discovering the wonders of holidays and the only problem is really stopping him from carving out his own frame for a Christmas gift for you─ and dealing with an incorrigible TTV. Poor Chief Scientist.

You It's the dawn of a new day, a new year with all your loved and cherished. Showing Dole Whip and the twins around the holidays through the factions is a delight of it's own. Everyone's having fun, not lamenting over the war for once and you couldn't be happier for this small miracle.

I wanna gouge my own eyes out but it's finally done! Its of course I had to try out a new art style over this but I think it's okay for the most part. (Honestly most proud of the TV side of things, in both cute line art and color lol.)

Thin lines are NOT my forte despite how nice it is at times. Probably won't be doin this again in a hot while (kill me if I'm lyin'). I also spent time agonizing over color again and once moar, I wanna pull out my tendons, stg─ but we ain't here or there, no siree.

They're Dole's pride and joy and the only difference between back then and now is the twins switching who blepped and that they've matured into toddlers. Their shape stays the same lol.

[Yōkai AU] Fiend & Menace

(The Kitsune no Mado, or "Fox Window", is a Japanese hand technique believed to reveal hidden Yōkai through your fingers as with above.

It's comparable to the Celtic hag-stone or adder stone, a stone found in riverbeds with a naturally formed hole which can reveal witches or faeries through it.)

Sometimes, I really hate colors. I spent so long agonizing his color palette it ain't funny, I swear. At least I think I did better on colors this time. Not by much but decent enough... (lighting's hard)

Either wae, here's @cosmica-galaxy's Fiend and Menace! They're apart of my Yōkai AU, very much based/inspired on @twstedforyou's own original Yōkai Twisted Wonderland AU.

Below is some lore if you wanna know! I recommend reading up this post for further AU lore if you wish.

For those who don't know what Yōkai are, "Yōkai are a class of supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore."

They can range from your classic demon, in this case Oni, to objects gained spirit and sentience such as Kasa-Obake, a friendly and playful one eyed, one legged sentient umbrella.

So now that that's outta the way...

[Yōkai AU Lore]:

꧁ღ⊱ | Oni!Fiend |

Fiend is an Oni, a kind of yōkai, demon, orc, ogre, or troll in Japanese folklore. They're known to be big, terrifying and having great strength. They're also known for their violent and short temperaments with a hunger for humans and alcohol.

In this AU, since people are pretty much wiped out, skibidi's are the suitable replacement. While not as fun as human prey at times, there's something a bit more satisfying playing with them. (The answer is abundance and the fact no one cares about them. He can be as sadistic and cruel as long as he wants with his food, something he couldn't with humans to avoid getting caught with his pants down so to speak.)

Fiend is a young Oni, reflecting his canon self being a Gen 0 mimic born after the fall of humanity, but he's still quite older than a century at least.

Due to his experience and the fact that the Yōkai District is quite traditional, he's a bit different. A tad wiser and more eloquent in his words for one. Not that he chooses to be, preferring to be a bastard most times. He's still the tsundere little shit who gets turned on when you make the battlefield red with the blood of your enemies.

Due to his heritage, he's quite the alcoholic. Because of that, he's also quite a bit more aggressive with skibidis because there's just some types of alcohol exclusive to the human realm that isn't made or sold in his District.

In this AU, Yōkai can shift forms to disguise themselves as the most dominant species in the human realm via shapeshifting or illusions. For some more humanoid Yōkai like Yuuki-Onna, it shows in their true forms. The believability of a Yōkai's disguise vary between Yōkai and those with skills more inclined to disguise like Tanuki and Kitsune are better at it than most. Fiend has an unusual competence in the art for Oni, Yōkai known to be quite dog shit at their disguises, especially for one as young as him.

With his surprising competence in illusions and Menace being too young to create his own disguise, Fiend extends his own over Menace until he can learn for himself. It also means when his transformation goes, so does the tuggle's.

Before the War, Yōkai had the option of either human or mimic guises but considering mimics themselves mimicked humans, it was mostly human disguises. Now though, the option is either Alliance members or mimics who mimicked them. Fiend in particular chose the mimic option because it gave him more freedoms so to speak. Disguising himself as an Alliance member would've burden him with the role of acting like one which, as apart of a military operation, is a heavy one to play.

Fiend spent most of his time in the human realm. When the fall of humanity came, he was mostly wandering and hunting alone and only rarely going back into his District when bored. Despite the solitude of the empty cities, not even he knew why he stayed in the wasteland as a TV mimic as he did. At least, not until he met you.

In this AU, his meeting with you was much like his canon self. He decided you were interesting at first and pretty much stalked you. Though, he was much more… open, so to say, with his less than mortal nature. He didn't necessarily show off he was of an Other nature but he didn't necessarily bother with blending in too much. Humans are pretty much dead and gone and he only kept a thin veneer up for the Alliance to not get up all over his ass after all.

Let's just say it was quite a surprise when he confronted you for the first time and found out you were his beloved Master all along. (He did not let go for the next week, still closely shadowing you for the rest of the month after. Your presence— no, your existence is simply too much— too intoxicating— for him to simply ignore and leave be.)

Bonus! He'd never admit it but sometimes, he'd head over to his District and find baubles for you that he makes seem like they're old belongings he'd never touched and left to dust. He's always terribly smug when you like it and gloats it over the others with a smirk.

꧁ღ⊱ | Oni!Menace |

Menace is also an Oni, a very young one

He's pretty much canon Menace but more of a little shit with a nasty temper when really angry

Though, instead of the whole 'parents dying leaving bby orphaned', its more he was orphaned at birth

Unless a hybrid of sorts, Oni are traditionally born from the death of a horrible human's spirit which is why Oni, at their base nature, are cruel and violent. By using the dead spirit of a horrible human to bring them into existence, they're bound to take bits of the violent and cruel parts that make up said spirit. Luckily for Fiend and you, it's something that could be taught to be managed but anger is always something present that'll have to be managed for the rest of his life.

Despite being essentially a toddler, he still has the absurd strength Oni are known to have. He can easily carry you with no problem which is a bit troubling considering he likes get mischievous. Often with Byte at that...

He's also a a bit of a nipper considering human flesh is apart of the natural diet of Oni. He knows better than to harm, Spirits forbid consider you prey and eat you. Adopted Papa Fiend is hovering over his back with a critical eye after all.

Bonus! Menace, underestimating his own strength and your human constitution, had accidentally thrown you once. Luckily, it was at Fiend. Unluckily, it was at Fiend. Possessive shit extraordinaire. (Yōkai won't let any slight against their Master stand, kid or not. Someone boutta get their little ass cooked.)

My Yōkai AU's similarities with @twstedforyou's AU:

Yōkai have a predestined soulmate or 'Master' who they care for very much; their love for their Master can range from platonic to romantic to beyond, it's really whatever their Master wishes for their relationship to be, the Yōkai will simply follow to their whims

Yōkai can only ever have one Master in their long lifetime but the Master can have multiple Yōkai familiars

When a Yōkai meets their Master for the first time, their overwhelming love manifests as a literal physical thing, namely the rope that rests around their neck. Its typically referred by humans as the 'red string of fate'.

When it appears, the Yōkai in question ask for their Master to tie said rope around their neck. It's a symbol of claim and acceptance. Once put on, the Yōkai will be very possessive and be protective of it, never letting anyone but themselves and their Master to touch it. Prayers for idiots that decide otherwise...

When a Yōkai's Master dies, things can go in a violent or non-violent way. Both ways are usually done in the extremes with very few composed enough to grieve normally, for Yōkai at least. In the non-violent way, the Yōkai will mourn greatly for years, perhaps centuries, sometimes taking up the role of defending whatever's left of their Master be it their possessions or remaining family. Other times, some Yōkai can be guided into finding a way to reverse their death, if only to give them something other than wasting away in their Master's territory for centuries or following their Master to the grave themselves... In the violent way, the Yōkai will go on a rampage, destroying things and hurting other beings, even fellow Yōkai under the same Master. Rampages can be sporadic or constant. Either way, if the Yōkai in question can't reign in themselves soon enough, a Yōkai Hunter will be sent to cull them for the greater good.

My Yōkai AU:

It's not only Yōkai that apply to this AU, other supernatural creatures from other cultures and folklore apply to this as well. Beings such as Fae, Yaoguai, Nymphs, Mermaids, Golems, Angels etc, etc... Each culture's supernatural beings have a District in the Other Realm, the dimension for all supernatural beings. Districts are basically sub dimensions of the Other Realm that encompass their own folklore like Tír na nÓg for the Celtic other world or the Yōkai District for the Japanese other world. These sub dimensions are accessible almost anywhere in the human realm, one merely needs to have a resident of whichever district one plans to go to. Otherwise, majority of accessible District Gateways are ones related to the region's folklore. (eg. England has most District Gateways to the Faerie Courts) It's also worth noting the Other Wold may have time differences with the human realm, sometimes going faster and sometimes slower.

When a Yōkai manifests their rope, sometimes, the Master will reject them. It will hurt at first but they're tied by fate for a reason. The Yōkai will wait however long until the Master is ready, no matter what the Yōkai's temperance my be. What's a few more years to the centuries they've waited after all?

A Yōkai's rope will only manifest if they meet their Master properly. If a Yōkai were to simply pass by their master, the rope won't manifest which has led to many missing each other by total accident. Not to say the Yōkai wouldn't notice anything, they would actually get a nagging feeling of something important nearby. Some dismiss it and others latch on to it, its a game of chance whether or not the Yōkai recognizes it.

The Hunter's Association is a group of Yōkai Hunters that work for the secretive liaison government that bridge and balance between the normal and supernatural society. They're usually sent out to keep the peace and rid of 'out of control Yōkai' that pose a treat to the tentative peace. They're pretty much a neutral entity that has mostly humans and few hybrids. Somewhat similar to twstedforyou's but a little more involved in government business.

While every Yōkai has a destined soulmate, not all meet their Masters. Some unfortunately die before their meeting, it can happen on both sides, or they simply never venture out to search, opting to stay in their District than venture the human realm. (Also somewhat important to note that the fickle time difference in the Other Realm has to do with this as well. Some Yōkai will spend all their lives or a bit too long in their Districts to ever meet their Master.)

While twstedforyou's Yōkai cannot kill each other, Yōkai can be killed by fellow familiars if one tries hard enough. It does also have to do with the will of the Master though. In simple terms, if the Master doesn't believe or want their Yōkai to hurt their fellow familiars, they can't. Only if the Master were truly want them dead, they can be killed by fellow familiars. For the most part, they wouldn't kill them out of respect of their master and familiar kinship but they can certainly beat them to a pulp and leave others to finish the job they can't.

[Drillet Doods #1] Hotspring Bath

Créme & Mousse got themselves quite dirty playing in mud. You decided to kill two birds with one stone and clean up with the drillets so you could all relax in the hot spring you found earlier. it certainly feels heavenly after getting a break from your other kids (read; your squadron).

This initially was supposed to be a simple doodle on how our resident human and the drillets were doin' but then the new update for Ovenbreak came out and welp, hot spring scene it is!

Anyhow, one thing's for sure; they're certainly doin' alright.

Alliance DDLC AU!

Welcome, one an’ all to our DDLC AU ft. @cosmica-galaxy's Alliance bois! this has been stewing for a while but I finally done it!

Since the Bois tend to go in trios, I added a two special guests; Veteran & Brown-Coated Cameraman!

Veteran here has a platonic/familial relationship with the Literature Club's resident human, you! But, when it comes to you, dear Viewer, it's another story altogether~.

Brown-coated Cameraman is also like Veteran in terms of relationship with you but also you as well.

Anywaes, I do hope you enjoy!

As a forewarning, I will being using -dere typings, a suffix to that derives from the Japanese onomatopoeia 'deredere' meaning 'lovey dovey' to describe characters that express their affection in different ways, or on different levels, for their personalities with a summarized explanation of what the -dere type is given.

(Also keep in mind that while they take the roles of the DDLC girls, their personality don't exactly match with them. They more take some aspects from them into their base personalities, which has been ever so lovely provided by Rus.)

The Main Trio! Took some finagling around to put them in roles I think was most suited for them but I decided on this!

ღ⊱ | Sayori!Cameron | His base personality is a Dereyandere, mostly a Deredere, a sweet and happy-go-lucky energetic type character, with hints of non-violent Yandere, an obsessive and lovesick character willing to go varying (usually extreme) lengths for their perceived beloved

In this AU, he's more ditzy than his base self and that's pretty much it. Not much change here really.

I chose him because his cheerful and jealous pouty nature just reminds me of Sayori and his yan side reminds me of the Act 4 ending should you choose to delete Monika's file resulting in Sayori becoming the Club President.

ღ⊱ | Yuri!Vee | His personality is a Kuutsundere, mostly a Kuudere, a calm, and collected character type that usually appears stoic in nature, with hints of Tsundere, a prideful character that seems/acts harsh on the outside but is softer on the inside

In this AU, he's a bit shy and into strange literature like Yuri but no less stoic and mature like his base self

He also adopted the yandere tendencies, obsession with knives, and 'testing' them on himself as Yuri does when his personality values are tampered with

ღ⊱ | Natsuki!DJ | His base personality is a Deredere with go-with-the-flow/chill vibes from my observations

In this AU, he's a bit more exasperated and possessive than his base self. He's still the chill and happy-go-lucky unit we all know but just a bit more mellow in the way he gets a little more defensive about his feelings towards you, both to you and those that seem to like you too

Basically, Nastuki's tsundereness somewhat cancels out his more joyfully energetic side a tad

Initially, he was in Sayori's role before I started swapping with Cameron for a while. They were going back and forth roles the entire time lol

I was nearly done with drawing this when I realize he'd probably be a bit better as Sayori, but again, I was almost finished so we get this! ( _-ヮ-;)\

ღ⊱ | Monika!Veteran | His base personality is serious and fatherly-inclined. He doesn't really align to any -dere types but if we were to stick to the whole -dere personality typing, the closest -dere type he'd be is a Jendere, a calm, gentlemanly, and distinguished character type.

There's more terms that attach itself to it like strict, fatherly, kind, and/or elegant which is why I thought this was the closest -dere typing for him

In this AU, he has more yandere tendencies that manifest in a similar way to that of Monika's own tendencies, just in a more guilty, conducted way seeing as he's the eldest, their senior, and shouldn't be causing the destabilization and deaths of his younger, junior club members because his deep love for you.

He's also younger in this AU considering DDLC's setting but that still doesn't offset the DILF vibes he got goin on lol

In this Alt AU, his personality hasn't changed much from his base one, really. The only difference is him being a tad clumsy and a bit more somber at certain times, which is from Sayori's clumsy demeanor and depression.

ღ⊱ | Yuri!Buddy | His personality is a Kuuyandere, majorly a Kuudere with hints of non-violent Yandere

In this Alt AU, he's quieter than his base self and a bit more maniac in his yandere tendencies when his personality values are tampered like Yuri's in DDLC.

He's also has a bit of shyness in the form of hand fidgeting from Yuri's own habit.

ღ⊱ | Natsuki!Fiend | His base personality is a Kuutsunyandere, mostly a Kuutsundere with hints of non-violent Yandere

In this Alt AU, his tsundere side is a bit more prominent. Still a smug bastard, he's much more susceptible to getting flustered by things that involve his emotions due to Natsuki's influence

ღ⊱ | Monika!Brown-Coated Cameraman | His base personality is a Megadere, a Deredere whose love is more obsessive and fangirlish in nature, which is rather obvious to everyone else, and sometimes, the love interest themselves

In this AU, his personality is more that of a Yeredere's, similar to a Megadere but even more crazy and obsessive like that of a sweeter, mostly non-violent Yandere which comes from Monika's own yandereness

He also very much leans into Monika's 'why can't I just be the one for once?' as a person who has very strong feelings of love and longing slapped in him

He just loves you so much. Won't you stay with him? Forever?
