The only Way Out Seems to Be Through...

I’ve wanted a way out for sooooo long

Countless days I just wanted to roll over and not get out of bed

Ruts, Anxiety Loops, Depression, Self Loathing, and Self Sabotage

Days I couldn’t get out of the hole I dug for myself 💔

Till. This. Day.

But Commitment is what’s left after the Motivation of the Moment has passed

Motivation isn’t worth a shit without starting with the end in mind— this is actually scientifically proven

The reality is; You’re either a Slave to your Thoughts, or a Master of them

It’s a conscious choice to burn the boats— it’s about time to either see it through, or die trying. Turning back would never be worth it

You can’t be a Master of your thoughts by accident 🤷🏽‍♂️

Now, still a long way to go, but too far from where we started to consider ever going back 💯

I choose the Red Pill. I choose to work 3-5 years making sacrifices and decisions people would second guess to play “Safe”

A lot of my earlier days before I started building a Life by Design were monotonous

I was unhappy, underpaid, paycheck to paycheck, and I felt TRAPPED— especially after I signed my life away and Enlisted. I would just count the days down

The Sad Reality... I only enlisted because school wasn’t going to put food on the table for the baby I had on the way

And I didn’t know what else to do. I couldn’t get ANY decent paying jobs because apparently a Misdemeanor must be Spanish for Felony

It’s supposed to be Noble to put you LIFE on the line in exchange for the basic necessities;

Consistent food, Consistent checks, Consistent housing, Free Education, and Health/Life Insurance along with retirement...

But think about that for a second... we’re told and taught to either join the 95% in the workforce... or go sign your Soul, Your Life and Freedom away to fight for the illusion of freedom we’ve been granted...

Freedom was never free

IT TOOK TIME ⏰, but eventually I had to transition into a mindset where where I was ALL IN 😤 . I watched my best friends and mentors push through to see this through after they’d lost their mothers... . Commitment is what’s left after the feeling of the motivation in that moment has passed. . Whether it’s a divorce, 70 Hour work week, friends wanting to go get lit on a regular (Playing Now but Paying the Price Later), or playing Fortnite hours on end... you’re going to pay the price. But I decided to have better fences at the top of the hill instead of more ambulances at the bottom 🚑 . If you have friends and family who won’t compromise with you putting time into Something you care about... reassess . I’ve lost people in life... If they’re going to go, then they’re going to go. Defeat is never failure, no circumstance is ever failure until it is accepted by the individual as such 💯 there IS a difference . To My Depressed Folk ❤️ When you have a calling that resonates with your being... like music. Maybe it’s art, or architecture, or alternative medicine... when you find something that makes the time fly by, and you never feel like you could have been doing anything else with that time because it was worth every minute, that’s where your heart is. Given, there’s also the fact of sedation. Netflix is not your passion 🎞 Fortnite is not your passion 🎮 It’s a physiological stimulant that’s activating the pleasure center in your brain getting you to think you’re getting gratification. It sedates you with dopamine to make you feel happy. Hence binge watching and playing which I used to suffer from 6-7 hours like NOTHING🤷🏽‍♂️ I’ve learned to understand the human body and mind so I can reverse engineer it to live a truly fulfilling life... and what I find time and time again is that if you sleep-walk through life, you won’t know why you have insomnia. You won’t understand why you’re depressed. All pain is in any form is a signal your body is sending you to try to get your attention. You’ll be tricked and deceived to thinking life is happening to you and not for you. It’s a fucking trap. The solution is love. To nurture your passion, your craft, your hobby, your soul, is to nurture yourself. This cultivates love for yourself. Fulfillment. Find a campfire. Find people who are unreasonably positive/open minded and like minded. Keep surrounding yourself with people who tell you your ambitions aren’t practical, and your hobby is a waste of time; you’ll stay lost. You sit in shit long enough, it starts to not stink. The more you explore what it means to be who you are, the less where you are now matters as much as where you’re going. Be the architect of your journey dawg.
