Writer's block is a curse so take some more SC/NmC headcanons down below. Specifically, Crafty and Simon:

Simon Smoke:

- Rich kid who, as you would probably expect, gets everything he wants handed to him on a silver platter.

- Childhood friends with Crafty, and they still get along even if they don't hang out as much these days.

- Never really understood why money is such an issue for "lower class" critters until he met some of the Nightmare Critters and Smiling Critters. He's now a lot more respectful to minimum wage workers.

- He has the tendency to buy things he doesn't need/has no interest in, just to give it away to someone else. This is 100% something he does just to show off how rich he is, but he only gives them away to his friends, and what he gives them is always something they either wanted or needed.

- Is very good at math and finance. One of the few subjects he puts actual effort in to.

- He has a small number of critters he genuinely likes, a small number of critters he likes on account of them being liked by someone he likes, and he dislikes just about everyone else. Those critters he likes are the only ones who ever really see any kindness from him, no matter how small.

- Has a soft spot for kids.

- One of his favorite hobbies is fashion. He likes looking good and it's easily one of the best ways to do it.

CraftyCorn:

- Was adopted by a wealthy family when she was a baby.

- Has always been shy around others, but it got worse as she got older.

- Doesn't like wearing dresses. Most of them are uncomfortable to wear, and of the few that aren't, most of them become uncomfortable after being worn for a while. Not to mention she feels guilty if she accidentally get paint or ink on one of the dresses.

- Is good at all sorts of different art types, art styles, and art supplies. The difference is big enough that a lot of people who see different styles of her art don't even realize she's the one who made them until they look at who made it.

- Is the type of critter who is a lot more confident behind a screen than she is in face-to-face interactions.

- She doesn't like large parties, but she can handle them as long as she isn't the center of attention. She also doesn't have any problems with smaller get-togethers with her friends.

- Drinks more coffee than she probably should.

Who wants to hear my headcanons about Poe and Kickin that I wrote in the middle of the night since I headcanon them as siblings?

-Since Kickin's a chicken, even though chickens are female and roosters are male, I think he's trans.

Kickin Headcanons:

-He startles very easily. This is very inconvenient considering he's friend's with CatNap and related to Poe.

-He also really likes playing horror games and watching horror movies. Surely this doesn't have any negative effects on him.

-He struggles with sitting still for long periods of time. (Projecting? Who, me?)

-He likes all types of music. Not everything will click with him, but odds are that if it's a music genre he knows of, he likes at least a couple songs from it.

-He's a hands on learner who learns best from being shown and doing things instead of just reading or being told what to do.

-He's very physically affectionate towards anyone he has even the tiniest bit of a positive relationship chart.

-He is surprisingly good at reading people.

Poe Headcanons:

-Has sensitive eyes which is a big reason why they dislike the sun so much.

-Always carries sunglasses for the reason mentioned above.

-Also always has headphones with them because they get bothered by continuous loud noise and the headphones helped. (Definitely not projecting on them, nope, why would you think that?)

-Is absolutely a fan of anything involving mythology. Is also a fan of anything occult.

-Their favorite things to read are poetry and fiction.

-They don't have any problems with physical contact, but they don't like physical affection and will only accept it from a very small number of critters.

-They enjoy writing occasionally. This has lead to them having a... questionable search history.

-They're very quiet and tend to accidentally sneak up on people.

Sibling Headcanons:

-You know how some siblings live in the same house but only interact with eachother in person when they see eachother in the middle of the night getting a drink then don't see eachother again for a couple weeks? That's these two 63% of the time.

-They're twins, but neither of them know which one is older.

-None of the other Smiling Critters or Nightmare Critters are aware of the fact they're siblings. They aren't going out of their way to hide it but they aren't making it obvious because they both think that most of the others would have hilarious reactions to finding out the longer they go without knowing.

-They bother eachother relentlessly. Kickin teases Poe with overexaggerated physical affection, and Poe knows exactly what scares him.

-A good majority of the things they do together are watching movies and playing video games. Normally, they're horror.

-The other things they do usually depends on who's choosing. If it's Kickin, he usually suggests things along the line of listening to musicals or some sort of physical activity. If it's Poe, they usually suggest things going out and wandering in the middle of the night or stopping by random stores to see what weird things they can find.

-They're both considered very pretty/handsome and they're both very aware of it.

I posted the first chapter of Sacrifial Lamb on ao3

For those who are curious, this is what I've come up with so far for my cotl x ppt (specifically nightmare critters and smiling critters) au that I'm calling : The Sacrificial Lamb.

Everything will be under the read more because I'm choosing to post this in list format to help avoid putting in too many spoilers since I do kinda want to make this a story, though I'm unsure if I will.

As you'd probably guess from an au based on cult of the lamb, the main character of this story is Baba Chops.

Most, if not all of the characters canon to cotl will exist and have the same roles they do in canon, such as the bishops and Narinder. However, there will be ppt characters who aren't the critters that show up in additional roles I made just for them.

While the bishops, Narinder, and [redacted] wear their crowns as crowns, newer gods and god-like beings such as Baba tend to disguise their crowns as their pendants. This is mainly due to the fact that the newer gods are aware that the bishops will kill them if they're discovered to have a crown in their possession.

Baba is not the only Critter who has a crown.

If I do write this into a story, there will be multiple arcs. The first two will be based off the main and post game of cotl while following arcs will be following a unique storyline that I made myself.

While not all at the same time, every critter will be introduced to the story before the end of the first arc.

DogDay is going to be the first follower of the cult. There is a reason for this that I'll make in a later post.

None of the characters are going to be morally pure. At best, they'll start out with good morals that become a bit wonky as they begin to spend time with the others. It is very hard for those who don't follow the ways of the old faith to survive in their lands with their morals intact.

I'm considering making DogDay a secondary main character, but not sure if I will or not.

The crowns are very much sentient. They just very rarely speak to their bearer unless they truly believe they're worthy.

Some of the critters will be related to existing cotl characters. No, I will not say which ones, but you may or may not be able to guess pretty easily.

Random idea/headcanon thing.

Do you think any of the orphans knew about the treatment of the experiments?

I'm not talking about the whole kids being turned into toys stuff, I doubt anyone would be able to figure that out unless presented the information.

But the experiments were being abused. It's obvious. And sure, the orphans never even seen most of the experiments, but they had near constant exposure to the Smiling Critters.

While I'm certain that Playtime would never let their abuse on those toys leave obvious marks, I doubt they did nothing to them.

Odds are, at least some of those orphans came from abusive homes. And I'd bet more than anything that some of those kids know what it looks like when someone is hiding the fact that they're being abused, and know that abuse doesn't always leave physical marks.

Do you think those orphans ever slip parts of their meals to the Smiling Critters if they seem hungrier than they should have been if they actually ate? Do you think that if they did something that the orphans knew would get them in trouble, the orphans would take the blame? Do you think that if they notice one of them being uncomfortable around specific members of staff, they work to cause as much trouble for those staff members as possible?

Do you think some of the orphans took it upon themselves to try and protect the Smiling Critters, like how the Critters try to protect them?

Some bad news and some good news.

Bad news: I'm currently on vacation and forgot my drawing stuff at home, so I'm currently unable to work on art for Growing Fears asks until next Tuesday the earliest

Good news: Instead, I'll be focusing on writing both lore posts for the Growing Fears au, and writing for the CopyCat au. For both of these I have something big planned that will be a lot larger than other things I plan to write.

Growing Fears au, Main Post:

Content Warnings: This blog will contain blood, death, horror, and other things that people may be uncomfortable with. Keep an eye on the tags of posts, and keep an eye on this post itself to make sure the warnings haven't changed.

The main purpose of this post is to summarize the au (both in universe and out of universe), how posts for this au are going to work, links to important lore posts, how asks are going to work, rules for asking the characters, and which characters are currently open to asks. These will be beneath the read more because this post is eventually going to become long

In universe summary:

If you were to ask someone when the first signs of something bad happening were beginning to show, no one would be able to give a straight answer. After all, the signs were different for everyone. Strange dreams, thoughts that didn't seem like their own, getting scared by things that they normally wouldn't have second thoughts about, and other things that no one had a chance to bring up.

By the time the veil weakened enough for Him to begin warping reality and for his minions to slip between the cracks, it was already too late for most people.

A group of eight is trying their best to survive in this new world, all while being hunted down by His followers. They hold out hope, believing that things will end. After all, what other reason could there be for Him to treat them like a threat?

Out of universe summary:

So, as you can probably tell from the other summary, this au is a combination of a bunch of things. Eldritch horror, fantasy, sci fi, survival, etc. One of the two main features of this au is that it involves a lot of dimension hopping. It might just be that I haven't looked in the right places, but I feel like there's barely any horror that involves dimension hopping (with there being more than two or three dimensions they travel between), so I decided to use that for this.

Now, as you can probably guess, the one who's the source of all this horror is the Prototype, though he won't be referred to as anything other than He, Him, or His in universe, at least not for a while. Since he's the source, a large amount of how it works is all centered around him.

He feeds off of fear and uses it to grow stronger

He doesn't have to be the direct cause of the fear, meaning that there isn't a single place in any world that's truly safe.

He's able to amplify existing feelings of fear and anxiety, which he uses to create monsters and other followers that feed into that fear

He can create creatures and warp reality based off of any fear in existence, all he needs is some sort of base. It could be anything from a bug, to a plant, to an animal, to a stream, to a shadow, to a pillow, to a house, to a person, though the bigger and more sentient something is, the longer it takes

His followers and monsters all have minds of their own, at least enough free will to decide how they deal with people. Some will just kill them, some will keep them alive in endless torment, some will brainwash them into becoming loyal, etc.

More will be added as the stroy progresses.

How posts for this au are going to work:

This au is going to be told through doodles/sketches and text posts. The text posts will be exclusively for lore and asks about the au directed to me, and the doodles/sketches will be for character asks, though if you're smart about it, you may be able to gets bits and pieces of lore from asking the characters certain questions.

How asks are going to work:

The veil between worlds has weakened greatly due to His spreading influence. However, not everything that the veil keeps away is a threat. The veil has 5 different states, strengthed, normal, weak, stretched thin, and fragile.

When the veil is strengthened, you will not be able to see or hear anything from that area.

When it is normal, you'll be able to watch, but nothing more.

When it is weak, you can be seen by the main characters and speak to them.

When it is stretched thin, you are able to create items to give to characters.

When it is fragile, you are able to physically interact with the world, though that also means anyone and anything will be able to see and hear you.

Each character open for asks has an individual trust level. These trust levels are high trust, considerable trust, neutral, wary, and distrust. Each character will react differently to asks depending on their current trust level. Your actions can either increase their trust in you or completely destroy it.

Rules for asks:

Don't make gross suggestions or asks. These versions of the characters are teenagers, and I'm not comfortable answering any asks like that directed towards them or myself.

If you want to be mean towards the characters, go ahead. Being mean in asks outside of ones aimed towards the characters will result in a warning and, depending on how bad it is, being blocked.

What you can do in your asks depends on the current strength of veil. If a character is in a place where the veil is too strong for you to see, then no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to do anything.

Your actions have consequences. I can't say for sure if anyone will die, but in this world, most fates are worse than death.
