Here is the first puzzle, the rest will be found on their respective blogs. I will post the link to the first round in a little while. There you will input the answer to this first puzzle in the form of a password (remember that it has to be in all CAPS).

Rules/How to play

1. When deciphering codes you may work alone or in a group, but only one set of points may be counted.

2. When entering passcodes always input them in using all uppercase letters.

3. Once you have solved a puzzle and gained access to a new blog you must fill out the google form provided in order to be counted for points.

4. Only the first 50 solvers will be counted for points. (#1 gaining 50, and #50 gaining 1)

5. Anyone may participate.

6. The next puzzle will only be introduced when the top 10 spots are taken up on the individual leaderboard for that round. This is why it is better that you spread the word about the competition so that the rounds will move faster. Or it will be released when enough time has passed. Or I’m bored.

Welcome to CB2k18!

If you’re wondering what CB2k18 is, it's a code-breaking competition open to all. This happens to be the main page, in which you will periodically find updates and information needed by the players, so make sure to check back every once in a while. The object of the game is to decode coded messages in order to rack up points to win. I terms of winners, at the moment, there will only be one grand prize winner, but there is always the possibility of there being more prizes dependent, of course, on how many players end up competing. Next post will be about the rules so everyone understands how to play
