a college student long hair unorganized look in his cargo pants suddenly at the end of your life, you become good at killing, and unpredictable boldness rises. this young man who has nothing to lose is calm. if he dies, he dies.

his whole body trembled, as he tried to walk more properly.

finally, he was settled in a chair, the hood was removed.

there were business cards on the desk, such phrases were printed on them - 'organ trading', 'smuggling'

"have you ever killed anyone?", the man asked

"h.. haven't.."

[👑] 뜨레쁠레프 / treplev* (*) irina (actress)’s son, Konstantin Gavrilovich Treplev, a young man. he attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head.

The Seagull, drama in four acts by Anton Chekhov, performed in 1896 and published in Russian the following year as Chayka. A revised edition was published in 1904. The play deals with lost opportunities and the clash between generations. The main characters, all artists, are guests at a country estate. They are Mme Arkadina, a middle-aged actress; her lover, Trigorin, a successful writer; her son Konstantin, a writer; and Nina, a young aspiring actress whom Konstantin loves. Mme Arkadina, jealous of Nina’s youth and promising career, acts cruelly and hatefully toward Konstantin, belittling his new play and withholding the approval he desperately seeks from her. Nina, impressed by Trigorin’s fame, ignores Konstantin, who kills a seagull and shows it to her, perhaps symbolically referring to his broken dreams. All four go their separate ways, but two years later they are reunited at the same estate. When Nina again rejects Konstantin, he destroys his writings and shoots himself while his mother, unaware, plays cards in another room. (x)

konstantin treplev attempted suicide twice. on his first attempt (which failed), he shot himself in the head, but the bullet only gazed his skull. he spends the majority of act III with his scalp heavily bandaged (just like the poster above).

Othello (full title: The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice) is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare, probably in 1603, set in the contemporary Ottoman–Venetian War. (x)

synopsis

In Venice, at the start of Othello, the soldier Iago announces his hatred for his commander, Othello, a Moor. Othello has promoted Cassio, not Iago, to be his lieutenant. Iago crudely informs Brabantio, Desdemona’s father, that Othello and Desdemona have eloped. Before the Venetian Senate, Brabantio accuses Othello of bewitching Desdemona. The Senators wish to send Othello to Cyprus, which is under threat from Turkey. They bring Desdemona before them. She tells of her love for Othello, and the marriage stands. The Senate agrees to let her join Othello in Cyprus. In Cyprus, Iago continues to plot against Othello and Cassio. He lures Cassio into a drunken fight, for which Cassio loses his new rank; Cassio, at Iago’s urging, then begs Desdemona to intervene. Iago uses this and other ploys—misinterpreted conversations, insinuations, and a lost handkerchief—to convince Othello that Desdemona and Cassio are lovers. "my name is kim gong joo. there is another gong joo in my class who has a completely different appearance and personality from me. strangely, she keeps getting on my nerves." the name given to her as soon as she was born is the minimal mark that society defines her identity as a being. however, the minimum identity of the main character, kim gong joo, is denied because of the existence of the person whose name is the same as hers in her class. another sparkling gong joo with a more beautiful appearance seems to have been recognized as a real owner who deserves to carry the name in this overwhelming sense. even though she fell asleep in class, even in the eyes of the teacher, the main character, kim gong joo, does not seem to exist, and only the other kim gong joo is pointed out. The confusion of kim gong joo, the main character who is struggling through adolescence that a person's second identity is established, and the heartless world of teenagers who brutally trample on her desire to create even a small area of her own makes us afraid that she will really face the nightmares she once dreams in reality.

the film was aired at 2021 seoul international pride film festival (SIPFF) in early nov 2021.
