i dislike makeup personally because it looks ugly on me. i'm also quite lazy and i hate the expectation that i must also wear makeup because everyone else does it. i hate it's not enough to be clean and tidy looking.

from a feminist perspective i think makeup is bad for the same reasons as fast fashion in that it promotes excessive consumption by pretending it's empowerment. So much money is spent because the marketing makes you think you'll be able to fix xyz with this product which just promotes insecurity. Many of the popular products are also bad for the environment and exploited women and children are forced to make certain products with toxic ingredients.

I'm looking into radical feminism but I wear makeup myself so the views on makeup confuse me a bit. I'm doing this poll to see what the average views are and get some more explanation

Btw this is literally an islamic position on homosexuality and transgenderism. Iran is a shia country and that's why it's so easy to transition. There are a few different opinions and some contention but there is a legitimate argument that in the case of male homosexuality for the man to live as a woman for him to be "cured". It's also not exclusively a shia thing, Al Azhar (a really well respected sunni institute) has held this position.

I think a lot of them want to prove that men can be abused too and women can be bad people and they're willing to overlook anything that doesn't fit this agenda. It helps that this is the popular opinion and it's also just easy to come to this conclusion if you have a surface level understanding of how abuse works.

what is it about depp specifically that makes all the libfems go stupid. they often can recognize domestic abuse with other celebrity couples and use their brains for them, but when it comes to amber and depp their brains turn to fucking mush and all intelligence evaporates. it literally makes me worry for them like whats going on in your brains i know you aren't this dumb and yet you let depp manipulate you.

For the longest time I thought it was something wrong with me and I was just specifically unlikeable but no, people really just do hate black girls. There's not even a specific demographic I can point to because it's everyone pretty much.

many people are terrible towards black women & girls & that needs to be addressed. a lot of people do not have sympathy/empathy for us at all and being online & having a radfem learning blog on tumblr.com has reinforced that for me.
