Celeste shook her head, quickly getting back to her feet when she saw what was happening. As Slater was punching the second Peacekeeper, the first one was reaching for his gun, Celeste kicked it out of his reach, jumping on top of him and angrily punching his face.

Celeste was tossed around after scratching at a Peacekeeper, but what got him was the gun trained on her by a second one, and the gun being replaced on his fiancee’s face. Slater couldn’t help it then. The lines blurred again between who he is and who he was, and he pried his children from his legs before he lurched, taking a Peacekeeper by the torso, lifting him and throwing him hard into the ground, the gun falling from the man’s hand before he wailed on the second one, punching him hard in the back of the head, diverting his attention away from his young protege.

Anger overwhelmed her as she hit the ground, yelling as she got up and charging towards the peacekeeper scratching his face where it wasn't covered by his helmet only to be thrown immediately into a tree, her breath taken out of her as her body slammed against the bark.
Slater kept safeguarding his children until he saw Celeste’s dark hair come swarming into his vision and kicking at the Peacekeeper. “Celeste!” he shouted, and the same Peacekeeper wheeled on Celeste, slapping her in the face and knocking her to the ground. Slater flinched, horror striking him. His children began crying louder in their fears.

Celeste fuming already due to the fact her house was completely raided looked up to see Slater's house being given the same treatment only her eyes saw the peacekeepers pointing guns at him and his sons. Without even thinking she walked up to the man, kicking the gun to the side pushing him. "What the hell do you think you're doing? Those are children."

Slater keeps Hale and Calix behind him, pressing them against the siding of his mansion, guarding them as a Peacekeeper keeps a gun trained on him and his family. He could hear crashing noises inside, things being turned and flipped over and his sons are crying behind his legs, clinging to him with death grips.

Would you rather I be a coward like you and just submit? I bet you would so that way you wouldn't have to feel so bad about yourself.
N-No! P-Please n-no v-violence!

Okay just promise you won't try to have sex with me.
Let’s just get drunk, sweetheart.

Is that what is? I can't figure it out myself.

Assholes are way more fun.

Well, I prefer assholes to nice guys anyway. They're just not the same. So I probably just don't notice.
Oh, I’m an asshole, and I’m very proud of it. You just laugh at everything when you’re drunk, so I don’t think it’s me being a whole lot funnier than usual.

I don't think you're an asshole and besides, alcohol makes you even more hilarious but maybe I just think that because I'm usually drunk with you.

Yeah, but alcohol makes me a lazy asshole instead of just an asshole.

Alcohol doesn't ruin anything. It just makes things better.
Yup, that sounds like a better plan. God, the one time I try to be productive, you just have to go and ruin it by suggesting alcohol.

You know what, though? Instead of getting ourselves locked up or beaten by peacekeepers.. let's just get drunk.
I am aware of that, yes.

You're more insane than I am, you know that?

Yeah, I’ll just jump really high, hold my foot out, and boom, it’s in someone’s face. You’re always welcome to join me.

Yes, plus it would make me laugh for days seeing you kick a Capitol citizen in the face. I might just have to get in trouble with you and do it myself. It sounds pretty fun.
I’m always in trouble, anyway. Might as well add this to the list of reasons.

Yes they do! I might just do that, better you get into trouble than me, right?

They do that? Next time that happens, you tell me and I’ll kick them in the face. I mean, I know you can do that yourself, but I feel like I would really enjoy it.

That's the understatement of the century. They saw me perfectly throw daggers, killing people instantly and they still pinch my ass like I couldn't do that to them if I wanted to.

You’ll have to excuse them, they’re not the brightest.

You'd think these Capitol citizens would remember that I could kill them very easily if I wanted to..

Well, I can understand that. I can't imagine how scary that was and how you must have felt.
Well, I like who you are now. Don't you go changing too much!
For my wedding, sure. For all of the extra bullshit that comes with it from the Capitol, no. I only proposed to her on Flickerman’s show so Snow wouldn’t have any opportunity to get back at us. We made the Capitol want it. After they tried to have Glitter miscarry Dax, I couldn’t take the risk of anything else.
Celeste, I’m not proud of who I am. I’m trying to change people’s perception of me. That’s why I no longer have my family with me from Two. I’m starting over. You’ll do well to remember that about me.
