This piece is such a delight, it is inspired out of one of my favorite FRIENDS moments, with Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe lounging in wedding dresses on that iconic couch.

I imagine the Archeron sisters in a moment just like that before Nesta’s mating ceremony.

They may have been thrown into another world, transformed in ways they never asked for, but they grew from the same soil. And no matter how much they change, that shared root of love and sisterhood is unshakable.

Many readers may have brushed past this interaction and not thought much of it, but for those who paid attention, it was a surprisingly sweet, yet significant moment for both Elain and Azriel.

We have Elain, who by all rights was raised to be terrified of the fae, putting her trust in this strange “scary” male and finding comfort in him despite their differences.

And then we have Azriel, the quiet, broody, mysterious spymaster, opening up (and spouting poetry while he’s at it) to ease Elain’s anxieties despite having never met her before.

This is an important moment for them both, but for Elain, it was the first step into opening her mind up about this world she had grown to fear. It’s two people who don’t quite fit in, finding common ground and comfort with each other.

Elriel Month | Peace and Quiet

There is such tenderness, intimacy, and safety when you can understand the person you love without words. For this prompt we imagined the relief that Azriel and Elain would feel as they fall into bed together at the end of the day after enjoying the extroverted company of the inner circle, so they can cling to each other for peace and quiet just like our High Lady foretold.

We were all so excited to get the opportunity to work with @kotikomori on this piece and she truly gave us a little peek into a slice of Elriel heaven!! We are so grateful @kotikomori! 💕💕

Instead of having a massive picture of Moses parting the sea, I want to get a massive picture of Aelin Ashryver Galathyniuss fire against the water from the dam breaking in Anielle. Like that being the centerpiece to my living room.

Crack theory: Ianthe's forehead tattoo is a Night Court bargain tattoo.

Rhys tells Feyre that bargain tattoos are specific to the Night Court.

The tattoo is stamped in 'midnight-blue ink.' Feyre's arm tattoo is described as 'near-black blue ink' in ACOWAR (Ch. 14).

The tattoo also matches Feyre's crown and her bargain tattoo with the Bone Carver:

I think it’s cute how Azriel has Elain’s headache powder on his nightstand just to look at it. Such a victorian widower energy.

No because how heartbreaking is it that Elain gave Azriel a headache powder, and instead of actually using it for headaches, he stares at it day and night, reminding himself that someone considered him worthy of care and actually saw his suffering. That someone truly cared.

But oh yeah, let’s just forget about that and call it “just lust”, shall we?

Azriel didn’t hesitate to face certain death to save Elain. And Elain—gagged, chained, and wrists burning with violet steel—still devoured the sight of him, as if she couldn’t quite believe he’d come for her.

This scene exemplifies the pull between these two, and how well they work in harmony. Even bound, Elain still fought alongside Azriel, slamming her foot into the hound’s face until it released him, keeping both Azriel and the innocent Briar alive. Azriel’s focus never wavered: get her out, get her to safety, no matter what it cost him.

Two souls moving in tandem, even through chaos. Light and dark. Strength and quiet ferocity. Theirs is a partnership born from trust, sacrifice, and a bond deeper than words.

Endlessly thankful to @northyme for capturing this heart-stopping Elriel moment so beautifully! Every update took our breath away, culminating in this stunning piece.
