“Hey I was perfectly fine not being pampered but you spoiled me! So its not really my fault!” She giggled at him booping her nose and snugged closer. “As long as its the four of us, that sounds perfectly perfect to me.”

“I guess you are right about that” he told her with a smirk. He looked to her and pecked her forehead sweetly. “I like the sound of that as well” he told her.

Mercedes smiled. “They treated me like I was special and important and I loved feeling like that. You used to be one of them, you used to be that man who worked and worked and worked…do you regret having a life?” She asked raising an eyebrow. She nodded and slowly sat up. “Sam as long as there is nothing she can say that makes you not want me anymore. I am good.” She put her feet down and laid her head on his shoulder.

Samuel Evans.

“Yes you like being pampered, we all know” Samuel snorted lightly at her. “I am kinda still that guy” he said, shaking his head “not one bit, I love my kids way more” he said looking to her. “And she’s not going to change anything” he told her bopping her nose with his finger. “It’s just me and you” he said wrapping his arm around her shoulder. “And the boys of course” he added his hand moving to her stomach.

“Yeah you can say that but I still feel it.” She said softly. Nodding she sighed. “I was shocked at how many people were there. Your friends were really sweet too.” She swallowed looking at him. “As long as our relationship is all I hope I guess I can live with that.”

Samuel Evans.

“You truly make my job hard by not just agreeing with me” Samuel said. “Yeah well they are wealthy men with no wives, no kids, and no life outside of business. This revelation was shocking for them” he told her. “But everyone treated you fairly and I am happy about that” he told her. “That’s just how mu mother is. You may think her cold shoulder means one thing, it could mean another. Look babe... she’s not an issue for me and she shouldn’t be for you. beside if she doesn’t get her act together she may not see the twins and I don’t think she’s going to risk that” he told her patting her leg. “Trust me.”
