who: @tessalcampbell where: the ER
It wasn’t unusual for the emergency room to be full of chaos. Most of the staff members worked there had grown accustomed to it, Ceyda included. Whilst not normally being very empathic, she’d learned that whilst she was at work, she needed to be and today was no different when she noticed a woman, somewhat hysterical.
“Hey,” she approached, her voice quiet and warm. “Hey I know this place is scary but I promise you we’re doing our very best.” Cey gives the woman a small smile. “Do you want food? A coffee or tea?”

Ceyda would have usually kept her composure and remained professional, except she couldn’t once she laid eyes on who it was. “Hey. You yell at me of any of my staff members and I will send you home. I don’t care if you die in your sleep from a concussion.” The brunette shrugged her shoulders. To say they had history was an understatement considering Pierce was one of the only people to know about the affair. She didn’t like him considering he was gonna rat them out, looking back on it Ceyda wondered what would’ve happened if he did. “No wonder you got punched in the face, you opened your fat mouth didn’t you?” If Pierce thought she was a bitch then, she was much worse now. “Snitches get stitches.” @piercerbrooks

LOCATION: The ER
"I said I was fine!" Pierce shouts once again the second the curtain flies open, indicating that another medical professional had appeared. He had been waiting here for what felt like forever, all because he found himself in the middle of another bar fight. He had taken a hard hit to the head, but it was hardly the first, nor would it be the last. He felt fine, but for some reason, these assholes wouldn't let him leave just yet. He turns his head to see which prick had just entered, his sour mood only souring more when the familiar face set in. He rolls his eyes and turns away, "Well, isn't this just fucking great." He mumbled, "Listen, just sign the paper or whatever the hell you got to do so that I can get out of here."

biography:
Chaos didn’t always follow around Ceyda and her twin sister. It all started when the girls were five. Their mother had always been slightly erratic, but when their father caught her having an affair with one of his best friends? He couldn’t stand it anymore. Knowing Ceyda was the strongest of the pair, he left her and took her twin with him. This ended up with Ceyda taking on her mother’s verbal abuse, and her mom turning to alcohol. Eventually, she remarried and her stepfather was just as bad.
As she grew into her teen years, Ceyda began attention seeking, drinking, drugs, and hanging out with people she shouldn’t. Her mother began to get fed up with her, kicking her out when she was 16. This caused her to drop out of high school, couch surfing at her best friend’s place; his laid-back parents kindly let her. But it was trouble, she was slowly falling for his girlfriend, and she was falling for her too. It wasn’t very long before they were sneaking around together and she was stuck in some very messy affair that carried on for nearly two years. Funnily enough, it had been the only bit of stability that Ceyda had ever had.
Tragedy struck when he got into a car accident and passed away on the scene. The girls had been together that night so when they heard the news they both felt an immense amount of guilt. Ceyda was unable to contain it; hitching a ride to San Francisco and never looking back. She had no money, no nothing, but being somewhat street smart, Ceyda broke into an empty apartment to live in while she tried to build up some cash. It wasn’t long until she was caught and kicked out so she had to find a new plan.
Ceyda still spent most of her time drinking and doing drugs, anything to escape the grief she’d endured over the last couple of years. Eventually she started selling her body to pay for her bad habits and nursing school. Until she came across a chef who worked at one of San Fran’s most prestigious restaurants. He was older than her, he had money, and he seemed nice enough so she went home with him, charming her way into his life. It was only six weeks later she was staring at a positive pregnancy test in the bathroom of his restaurant. It was positive and he was thrilled. Ceyda couldn’t really picture herself as a mother but her life had been flipped upside down, maybe now she was finally going to feel some sort of happiness. He flew her to Vegas and they got married.
Only a short time went by before it all started crumbling. Ceyda experienced a late-term miscarriage shortly after their wedding day. Things turning more sour than they ever could have with her new husband blaming everything on her. Ceyda had always been strong but not anymore, not after this. She began to believe the words he fed her. It wasn’t long before he was laying hands on her either, and there were times where he did the unthinkable. She was miserable. When Ceyda had enough instead of leaving she began to retaliate, abusing him back and participating in affairs. One man even nearly got her out until her husband nearly killed her when he found out. This carried on for years until she couldn’t take it anymore, when she found out he got his mistress pregnant, it was over.
Devastated, she booked the pair a holiday and cut the breaks on their car, causing an accident. But it wasn't until the hospital, sitting there next to his hospital bed whilst he was coma that Ceyda snapped, lacing his IV and making his death look like he died from his injuries. Somehow, she had escaped unscathed. But, men scare her now and she will do her best to scam them for what they're worth. She returned to Cedar Point shortly after to resume a new life, a new job and to forget about the mountains of trauma that she'd endured.

If it were anyone else she would have ran a mile. There’s been something different about their relationship from the start. Being in Fletcher’s life meant being involved with Nix and that was okay because it was him. She knew it couldn't have been easy for him, either. Sure, Cey wasn't a stranger to him, but to Phoenix she sure was. "Yeah, we are." Ceyda gives a cheeky grin in his daughters direction as her giggle erupted throughout the corner, Nix's smile quite literally lighting up the room. "Better get used to that." She teased, placing the final piece of her own croissant in her mouth before she stood to her feet. "Sounds good." Crouching down in front of the stroller, Cey smiled at the little girl. "It was nice to meet you honey, make sure you keep your dad on his toes." The brunette knew Nix had no idea what that meant, but she shot the man a sly glare before she stood up and pressed a kiss to his cheek,, squeezing his shoulder as she did. "Alright, I'm off to the supermarket. I'll text you my address." And with that, she headed out the door to get ready for tonight. @fletch-townson
Being told not to apologize for his daughter made his heart ache for her even more. Fletcher couldn't lie; he was worried about what her reaction to Nix would be. She was, unfortunately, tangible proof of the mistakes he had made in her absence. Plus, he knew relationships as a single parent could be tricky. Though he hadn't gotten that far in his recovery to plan out the logistics. But to know that Ceyda welcomed her with open arms made him want to see what could become of this even more. The little one's head nodded softly at her words, a move that drew a laugh out of him. "Hey, you two are already ganging up on me?" he jokingly bemoaned as he tickled Nix's sides, her high-pitched laughter soon filling up their little corner of the cafe.
A puff of a laugh came from him at her suggestion. "How could I say no to a move so smooth?" blue eyes studying her face as if it were art. To him, it was. "Does five o'clock work?" his heart pounded at the idea this could be the first step into something wonderful.

who: @fletch-townson where: ceyda's place in victory row
Ceyda had been scouring her closet for hours trying to find the perfect dress. The brunette was well aware Fletcher didn't care what she wore, and she didn't need to impress him but them reconnecting felt so special she just couldn't help herself. Considering they were just at her house, she didn't want to be too overdressed, so she'd left her heels by the door and paired it with minimal jewelry.
She really wasn't sure what she was thinking when she said she'd cook for them, she could cook, and damn well (things she learned after marrying a chef) but, the stress of them having a date certainly did have her a little bit flustered. She settled on chicken risotto, simple enough. Cey had run to the store on her way home to get a few punnets of strawberries too, along with chocolate dipping sauce. Thankfully summer meant her favorite fruit was easily accessible. Her heart raced the minute she heard the knock at the door, rushing to open. "Hey," her grin was wide, warm and inviting. "Come on in."

Ceyda pinched the bridge of her nose as she began to process. “Kind of?” She echoed, her eyebrows pulling together. “No. You can’t tell me you didn’t at least get a fucking orgasm out of it. Then I actually will throw a riot.” The brunette really did have more faith in her friend than that - considering both of their high sex drives and that being one of the number one priorities in Cey's on life. Truly, she didn't mean to be as scolding as she was, she just knew how strong the other woman was, she didn't want to see her weak for a man who didn't deserve it like she had been herself.
Biggest red flag about what Pippa was telling her was this dude not listening to her when she told him to get out. It made Ceyda's stomach tie up into knots, taking her back to a certain place in her marriage for a moment. She didn't look at the other female, she stared out into the parking lot of the diner, cars coming and going. "Okay," it didn't sound all bad to the brunette but she was still worried. The hesitation was very clear in the tone of her voice. Dark eyes returned to her friend as she watched Pippa's hand go to her stomach. "Is that what you want?" Cey wasn't judging anymore, she was just concerned. @pip-danvers
"...No." she lied through her teeth. White-knuckled fingers gripped the steering wheel. Pippa was a fantastic liar, except when it came to lying to people she cared for. Once they caught on to her hiding something, it wasn't long before the truth spilled out of her. Or she'd just shut down the conversation. However, with Ceyda's eyes filled with disappointment looking over her, she could feel herself cracking. "I mean, kinda..." her words made her sound more like a guilty child than anything.
The hushed sounds of whatever CD she had gotten stuck in her CD player years ago filled the interior of the small car. Pippa's teeth sank into her bottom lip as she began to recall the night. "Well, it started with him just fucking waltzing into the place. I, of course, screamed at him to get out. He didn't listen." she lamented with a soft laugh. "After a lot of back and forth, it came out that he didn't fire me. His fucking dad did. Pretended to be him and all that shit. Didn't like that he was fucking me, I guess. My fucking big mouth also blurted out the fact I was pregnant in the middle of chewing him out." Her head lolled to face her friend, eyebrows shot up in a feigned question. "Unbelievable, right?"
She continued on with a sigh. "He said he'd be there, if I wanted him to. And I told him what I told you I would: I'd never deny him the chance to be in his own kid's life, but he has one chance and not to fuck it up." A momentary pause hung in the air before Pippa recalled the next words, still unable to comprehend that this was all happening. "He assured me he's got me." One of her hands ghosted over her stomach. "Us."

"Oh, like that girl on tiktok who lost like a hundred pounds on it or something?" Ceyda honestly hadn't heard much. Considering she was a nurse she was pretty laid back about what she put in her body. "They're all fucked, though. Whatever keeps us going." Everyone had their vices, so the brunette was pretty laxed about it. "You don't do coke? The drink, not the drug although I've been known to do both. But sometimes I find that has enough caffeine in it." @aprilrcse
"I heard it messes with your hormones so I stopped drinking Celsius and also the fact it didn't really do anything to me after drinking it for awhile. Doesn't wake me up." April shrugged, although it might have to do with the long nights of insomnia happening to her. "I always love cold drinks, no matter the weather, I will snag myself something iced cold. I don't really care for warm drinks, tea on occasion but only if I'm feeling sick." @ceydaxyilmaz

Ceyda was glad Pippa's uncle had stepped in to send his niece off for the night. The brunette knew the other woman's feet and back must have been aching, she would have been nauseous but weak from the lack of appetite. Then being overwhelmed about everything else too, Cey knew the woman was probably just holding on by a thread - or at least she would have been if she was in that position.
She let herself be dragged along by the other woman, Ceyda knew damn well she wasn't going to like what she was about to hear. It wasn't like she could really judge, the amount of times she went back to her abusive husband after he did her dirty was endless, but she liked to think that she was stronger than that now. The brunette sat next to her friend in the passenger seat of her car. The way Pippa left the conversation hanging in the air made the woman more suspicious. The pair had only been friends a few weeks, but they'd grown very tight over that time so she felt like she could read Pippa like a book now. "You fucked him, didn't you?" Her tone was more disappointed than anything. Dark eyes rolled, a sigh leaving her dark rose colored lips as Cey thought about it more, truth be told she really didn't care. At this point, the pair were both very good at separating sex and feelings, she just hoped that's what Pippa did if it were the case. "It doesn't even matter," she finally said, folding her arms. "What else happened? What did he say about the baby?" @pip-danvers
It was easier to just pretend everything was normal. Hell, she still was processing the information herself. And denial was an old habit to the woman by now, and it wasn't dying without a fight. "I appreciate that, Cey." she assured with another half smile, dropping the dishes off in the wash bucket. "And I know you're right. It's just..." Another sputtering sigh passed her lips as she brushed the loose hairs from her forehead. "Haven't exactly given them the easiest time, and now coming with this? When things are already so tough? Feel like a twat, to be honest."
Pippa should have been prepared for her friend's reaction. Though their friendship was short, the pair had already been telling each other every uncomfortable truth. She could've named one of Ceyda's past tragedies correctly before her favorite color. "I know I could have!" Her words were a hushed hiss. "But I'm telling you now. Actually, just give me a sec."
Leaning over the serving window (somehow forgetting her condition once more), Pippa yelled to her uncle. "I'm taking my lunch! I'll be back in an hour!"
A bald head, slicked with sweat and attached to broad shoulders, stuck out from behind the wall. "You haven't taken your lunch yet?" his voice was commanding, yet filled with a warmth that spoke to his gentle giant demeanor. "Pip, you've been here since open! It's almost dinner! Nah, you're going home. You've already done two closings this week and it's fucking Wednesday. I've got it."
"But -"
Her objections were soon shut down by a 'no buts', followed by a 'beat it' which was quickly joined with a 'love you' before Bruce's hand waved her away. Pippa let out a disgruntled sigh as she grabbed her bag, lightly taking Ceyda's wrist and guiding her out the employee exit. "Can we save the verbal thrashing for after I tell you what happened?" Dark eyes moved over to her friend before unlocking her car. It was only about ten years old, but the previous owner had specifically modded the car to replicate a car from the 1990s. Crank windows, no automatic lock, and a fully decked out CD player made up her car, but it was hers; it certainly looked like it too. Everyone in Cedar Point knew when it was Pippa Danvers' car driving down the road, because who else would have no less than four bumper stickers out of their dozens telling the other drivers to 'fuck off'?
Pippa slid into the front seat and quickly turned on the car (and the air, which was what she was really after), scrambling to turn down the blaring levels of her music. "Okay, where were we?" Her teeth ground against her lip as she tried to replay her friend's questions. "Oh, right. Yes. I did tell him." Her fingers drummed against her steering wheel. There was obviously more to the story, but she was unsure if she wanted to admit what had transpired between the two fully.

The whole experience left her feeling a little dazed and dizzy. It was the last thing she was expecting on her way home from the hospital but it was the best surprise she could have had. She really hadn't realized how tightly she'd been holding herself together for the last three years until his lips were on her forehead, reassuring her that they were both okay. She had hardened over the years, naturally but when it came to him and feeling safe she always softened. When Nix cried out, Ceyda pulled back with a small laugh which sounded more like a sigh, her thumb trailing the tear stains upon her cheeks. She watched Fletcher with his daughter - she was both in awe and heartbroken all at once, knowing that this could have been their reality. Phoenix could have very easily been their child, perhaps they would have been married by now with more on the way. But to see him as a father felt like a huge privilege. He was so gentle and loving with Phoenix and she was fixated on the pair of them. Now, she could see Nix was nearly the spitting image of the man she adored. A laugh broke through her mouth as she watched the toddler scarf back the croissant, but when he apologized her attention quickly snapped back to him, shaking her head. "Don't you ever apologize for her, or being a good dad." Sure, he was doing the basics, but Ceyda didn't have that from either of her parents so the bare minimum was praised in her books. Plus, she wanted him to know that she wouldn't shy away from Phoenix either. Ceyda smiled at the little girl. "How dare your daddy deprive you of food, huh?"
When his hand was placed upon hers again, her attention then drew back to him. "What about tonight?" Ceyda asked, biting down on her lower lip kind of anxiously. Again, it was forward but it felt like shouldn't let another moment go to waste. "Otherwise, if you're busy then yes, tomorrow works too." @fletch-townson
Cerulean eyes rolled once more. It probably wasn't the wisest move to try to bullshit to a person who knew him so well. "And so humble about it." he bit back, his own laugh mixing with hers in a lovely symphony. "It'll never be easy, but I'm absolutely in a better place. Good support system, good treatment, and I've been following through. But it's nice to know I have that extra bit of security." His smile offered to her in a pure display of appreciation.
The moment she not only reciprocated the kiss but deepened it, it felt like a dream. He cupped her face gently as he allowed himself to pour all of his emotions into their kiss. Maybe they could both be okay. As much as Fletcher would have given anything to go back, to try and do something to keep her from experiencing all that pain, he could enjoy the now. The present had her with him once more, completely safe from her ex's control. He didn't allow the kiss to go on for too long. They had to be careful. They were both held together after years of cracks, and one wrong move could have shattered either of them completely. He was determined to do this right. Even if it took the rest of his life, he would do right by her.
His lips pressed against her forehead just for a moment, his fingers wiping away a few of the tears that had begun to fall down her cheeks. "You're okay. We're okay." The words repeated like a mantra. Ceyda's eyes drew him back in, the world around them growing fuzzy. One of his hands grabbed hers, and another gentle kiss was placed on her hand. And though he could have stayed in that moment with her for hours, a sharp cry pulled his attention. Black curls sprang up from the stroller as Nix rubbed the sleep from her eyes, pacifier barely containing her whines. "Sorry." Fletcher offered his apology before reluctantly pulling himself away from her and scooping up the little girl.
"Hey, munchkin." the man cooed as he attempted to settle his daughter. Large blue eyes looked around the obviously new surroundings, sniffly whimpers continuing to fill the space. "Everything's okay. You want a snack?" Red ruddy face looked towards her father, nodding softly. He made quick work of tearing up his croissant into bite-sized pieces, and Nix was soon no longer crying, but instead happily munching away on the bread.
Fletcher's hand was soon placed atop Ceyda's once more, thumb drawing circles on her skin. "Again, sorry about that. But would you call me crazy if I said tomorrow?" he asked, his smile returning once more.

Ceyda didn't know whether to believe her but she also knew when the other's limits were being pushed, so she decided to drop it for now at least. They could argue about it later, she knew how much pressure the other woman was under. Her gaze followed as Pippa's went to her non existent belly. Cey wondered if one day she'd pop and look massive, it would probably be the day before she gave birth. But it also kind of made sense considering Pippa was tall. "I can be there, if you want me to." She offered, tilting her head. "But, I think you just be honest. Your family is really going through, it Pip and they love you. They might react way better to this than you think that they're going to." Or maybe, that was the problem.
Her wary eyes widened when Pippa told her the news about the man causing all this mess to be in town. "Jesus, you could've lead with that." She huffed, folding her arms. Concern had expressed all over the woman's face because the way Pippa hid it..,made it sound like something had happened. Her eyes narrowed. "What the fuck happened?" She asked, her voice still hushed so nobody would hear. "Did you..did you tell him?" @pip-danvers
Pippa couldn't help but give a glare of her own back. She'd never done well with being told what to do, even if it was by a friend who genuinely was just looking out for her. "I'll be fine! Again, I don't think an extra-" quickly sliding her phone out of her pocket, she glanced down at the time. "-seven minutes, now, is going to spell doom." Another look of disgust flashed over her worn-down features. In all honesty, nothing had sounded good for months. Each time she ate anything, it was purely for sustenance. "I brought lunch. I'm good." another lie slipping between her teeth.
Dark eyes glanced down at her stomach. It was jarring to think how far along she was, considering she looked no different. The reality of the situation still felt like it was all in her head. She let out another soft sigh, eyes closing tightly as if to slow her thoughts. "I know. Just, how the fuck do you even approach a conversation like that? Not exactly a handbook for these kinds of situations."
Pippa finally stopped, the dishes piled up in her hands, suddenly feeling thousands of pounds heavier as she slowed to look at Ceyda. "And I do appreciate it." she admitted with a half smile. "I'm just attempting to take it day by day, you know? And trying not to crash out in the process." Pearl white teeth poked out, biting into her bottom lip as she contemplated even saying her next words. "He's here. Uh- my old employer." The emphasis was added to hopefully help her connect the dots. "Showed up the other night out of goddamned nowhere."

"That place is a freaking warzone." Ceyda thrived off the adrenaline from it all. She craved it, otherwise boredom would sink in and she'd end up in trouble. It was something she'd learned during her marriage. It wasn't for everyone, the brunette knew and respected that. It was just something that kept her going, but on her breaks (when they weren't night shifts) she'd be found out here too, unless it was chilly. Thankfully the fresh summer air was upon them today and the sun was shining brightly. "You know that's actually a really good way to put it." The brunette would remember that from now on when she had littler patients. It wasn't often they'd come through her area of the department, but she tried her best when they did even though she didn't really see herself as being a kid person. Finding a quiet, shady spot, Ceyda took a seat on one of the benches. "People actually need to utilize these more, it's so nice to be out here, especially when the sun's out." She then turned towards her friend. "How are you anyway? I've been doing so many night shifts we keep missing each other." @charlotte-harrington
Messy curls bounced as she shook her head. "I'd really like that. The ER always makes me a bit....people'd out." she admitted, a puff of a laugh following. Most lunch breaks were taken outside when she could. Even if the hospital's walls were sterile and modern, the gardens were wild and beautiful —a conscious choice to help patients escape the reality of being tethered to such an impersonal place.
Charlotte's smile grew ever brighter at the compliment. She had always worried that going into a field that was practically thrust upon her would leave the woman unfulfilled in life, or she wouldn't have been cut out for the fast paced medical world. Thankfully, neither seemed to be true. "I just try to be the person I'd want as a child on your worst day. People tend to forget that kids are experiencing most feelings for the first time, so everything is heightened. You just have to meet them where they need to be met." Dark eyes looked over the menu, though the offer soon had her resisting. "Oh, you don't have to do that, Ceyda! You're too kind."
Though, the two had worked together long enough, and not being one for confrontation, Charlotte put in her order for a garden salad and a cup of soup. Fingers scrubbed clean from disinfectant, grabbed a bottle of water before the two moved their way to the gardens.

Men like him were who she lived for. The ones who liked a pretty face, the ones she could make money from. Even with her husbands insurance policy and her job, greed still fueled her. "It's pretty sexy," she said, dark eyes locked on his as she took a long sip of her wine. "Hm, I think I just appreciate a man who knows quality." She smirked. "Plus you're not afraid to spend money which means you work very hard." @axel-mathis
Axel was enjoying a relaxing evening at the winery. Was he drinking wine? No, but that was okay. They still had whiskey at the bar. He liked the place, and always managed to meet interesting people there. Hearing a woman's voice next to him he turned, eyebrows raised as he saw the attractive brunette. "Oh yeah.. that's mine. Or I thin it is, if you are talking about the green Aston." He smiled and tilted his head. "You're interested in cars?" @ceydaxyilmaz

"I just think Celsius tastes better, alright?" Ceyda mused, being a nurse she shouldn't really have been endorsing these things.. "I've tried all those different flavored Redbulls, they still give a weird after taste. I like the vanilla berry one. But yeah, that green apple and cherry Celsius? That's my fucking shit. If I'm really tired for a night shift that's what I'll grab. The peach one is really good too. Sugar helps, sometimes too. Sometimes you kind of need the coldness to wake you up though, I feel? Like coffee or tea I'll end up knocking out 'cause it's warm and cosy." @aprilrcse
"I never trust anyone who says matcha taste so good, because I would need some brown sugar in that baby to make it sweet." April said laughing lightly as she shrugged. "But hey don't be calling my redbull battery acid, it taste delicious especially if you get the flavored ones. My favorite is the coconut blueberry." @ceydaxyilmaz

"Yeah well you know what they're like with the toasters in the staff rooms," Ceyda trailed off, referencing the many times they've had to evacuate due to fire drills from a toaster smoke. They were the real hazards of the hospital. "Thanks, it's nice when I actually introduce myself 'cause otherwise people see the C-e-y and think it's pronounced like that, when it's pronounced Jeyda." The brunette nodded in agreement when he spoke about the literal fry trap. "Shame you can't perform lipo on yourself, I guess." She let out a small chuckle. "I'm unfortunately a sucker for the croissants at the cafe." It was a special treat though. "Busy day for you then, huh?" @drdawsonyoung
"That sounds nice, but then the first person that decides to airfry some tilapia or something would ruin it for everyone." He jokes before taking a small bight of his food. Not great. Definitely not great. When she said she remembered he nodded. "Ceyda. Right... I knew it was a name I hadn't heard before. It's a really cool name." He nodded when she said she usually walked into town. "I do that every now and then, too. but I try not to go too often. Too many french fry options with lunch, I'd have to run like an hour more a day to keep that off me." He says with a grin. "Oh uh.. yes, that was this morning, and now a chin implant this afternoon." @ceydaxyilmaz

The woman found herself searching his eyes as he answered, trying to decipher how true it was and if she could still read him like a book. “I still know when you’re full of shit.” Ceyda let out a small laugh in response, only in slight surprise that she could still do it. She knew there was truth to his answer anyway, only because this sort of thing came in waves. One day you’re fine and the next day you’re at rock bottom. She just hoped that now on those days he was at rock bottom, he’d count on her.
He agreed to dinner. Now she needed to figure out what she was going to make to impress him and Phoenix of course. Things were going well, better than she ever thought they could have. Fletcher could have seen her again, screamed at her for not showing up but he didn’t, he just listened to every heart ache she’d endured. Tears had welled in her own eyes but before she knew it his lips had found hers. Every word he’d spoken prior to that had been forgotten. Suddenly it was like it was only them in the room. His kiss was soft, nearly hesitant but she kissed him back fiercely because she’d been thinking about it the entire time they’d been speaking.
It certainly felt like this was their second chance but Ceyda was terrified to rush into anything given the last time she did that, even though she trusted Fletcher whole heartedly . The brunette let a small, quiet whimper pass through her lips as the kiss finally came this an end, sad it was over. “I’m okay,” she repeated, her hands now wrapped around his wrist. It was almost reassurance to herself that time. Their eyes met for a moment, both of them filled with tears. But Ceyda believed it this time. She was okay.
“When do I get to make you dinner?” She asked, finally breaking their silence. @fletch-townson
To be honest, Fletcher couldn't remember the last time he truly felt 'okay'. There were moments in his life that weren't as hard as others. There were moments where he was downright happy. But the little voice in his head, the one that was usually followed by thoughts and memories he'd wish would just stay gone, made a home in the forefront of his brain. The ones that only silenced themselves after a night of drinking or getting high. "Yeah." he said simply, another toothy grin appearing on his face. "Thankfully, I've been doing okay. Some days are hard, sure, but nothing like before."
Her grin, her entire aura, drew him in. Blue eyes stayed fixed on her as she continued this new little game. "Oh, I know." he reassured with a bit of his cheeky smirk being unearthed. "How could I forget?" He was almost impressed with how straightforward she was being, but should he have really expected anything less? Ceyda's tenacity was just another aspect of her that drew him in. "Sounds perfect." It almost felt too good to be true, making plans like this with her. He kept wondering when the other shoe would drop and take this all away. But he couldn't think like that. That would have been a self-fulfilling prophecy. "Can't wait."
The moment her grip tightened on him, his own mirrored to show her he still had her. No matter what. The man couldn't quite believe what he was told. There had been so many nights of 'what ifs' and wanting to just know why. And now that he knew, he wasn't sure if it made him feel better or not. "But if I just had gotten my head out of my ass for a minute, maybe I could have...I don't know." he finished with a sigh. "Even if I was just there to comfort you. To show you that you weren't alone..." Fletcher wasn't even thinking when he brought her hand up to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the back of her hand in comfort. "I know." his words were soft, tears threatening to pour over. His free hand reached up to hold the one now resting on his cheek. "But I would never have been able to forgive myself if you weren't. You deserved so much more. So much fucking better." The last words felt as if they were digging directly into his heart. That 'if only' could have been their reality. He wasn't sure quite what to do or say in the moment. There was the obvious, but he worried about crossing that line again. They had only just reconnected. It could have risked a chance at any redemption for them.
But when had Fletcher Townson ever let the threat of consequences hold him back? His tall frame leaned over the cafe table, the same soft kiss that had been placed on her hand now against her lips.

Ceyda couldn't help but squeeze the woman tighter, still covering her skin with kisses, but now they'd certainly turned more playful than sensual. "I didn't think so," she grinned, turning the woman's face to place one final kiss upon her lips. Ceyda was enjoying the ease of this a little too much. "Good, you're the hobby and I'm the distraction." She teased, teeth tugging at the blonde's lip as she pulled away. "Hm, see now if it were pancakes and syrup I wouldn't have a problem with that. Though, you know there's some weird mother fucker out there with an egg fetish." She replied playfully, sitting up a little bit. Erin cooking for her was a welcomed surprised, though. She wasn't really expecting it out of the blonde, but she was happy for it. "Alright, I suppose we better keep our strength up." Cey mused, a sly grin appearing on her face as she hopped to her feet. "You're on food duty, I'm on coffee duty, how does that sound?" @erinliana
“Interesting. I was thinking something more along the lines of…knitting, but hey if I work for you then you think I’m going to complain? Hell no!” Laughing as Ceyda started going into more detail about exactly how the two of them had been the night before, a roll of her eyes. “Yeah well duh, I was somewhat distracted.” Truth was, Erin didn’t think she was even slightly slick, actually if anything she had the footstep loudness of a small T-rex, but she’d at least been making the effort, after all Cey had a real job where she had to save lives, that was no fucking joke.
As she turned onto her side she looked at her with a small smile the blonde was attempting to suppress playing on her face, instead a little smirk just flickering there. “Real food is on the menu, but you can eat it off me if you want. Then again I don’t think scrambled eggs off a woman has ever been the stuff of a single person’s dreams. How about this, I make you some proper food, and then we can go back to bed. Deal?” Well, she couldn’t help it. Erin’s default was to take care of people in her own way and cooking for them was one of her favorite. @ceydaxyilmaz

The brunette's face softened as she noticed the blonde's features, rather glad she'd offered to go to lunch. Ceyda was exhausted after that and she could tell Charlotte was too. "Yeah," she nodded her head. "You mind if we go somewhere a little quieter than the cafe though? It's a nice day out, we could go grab something to eat and sit on one of the benches." The dark haired woman suggests, not exactly wanting to be around the bustling hospital right now however she knew neither of them could go far. "I'm so glad she's okay." Cey said, giving the woman a warm smile. "You chose the right specialty, that's for sure. I don't think anyone could've calmed her down but you." She'd watched it many times when children had come into the ER, or if she ever had to escort kids to pediatrics. Charlotte was always there, a ball of sunshine with a big smile on her face and fussing over everyone. As they arrived at the cafe, Ceyda was quick to order her usual vanilla latte and a chicken salad sandwich. "What do you want? It's on me." @charlotte-harrington
Days like today were the kind that made her job so difficult; watching a child in so much pain would always wreck her emotionally. And today's case had been brutal. An accident had broken the patient's arm in multiple places. The little girl was inconsolable, rightfully so. It's why taking shifts at the ER would only be reserved for days she knew preceded a rest day afterwards.
"Hm?" The informality of the greeting took her by surprise, her fogged brain taking a moment to realize who was speaking to her. "Oh, yes. She's in pre-op right now. It's going to be a long one, but they expect her to go home by the weekend."
Charlotte forced a smile onto her forlorn features, offering some warmth to Ceyda. "I was just about to take my lunch, if you wanted to join. Vould use some company after that."
