TRIGGER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO DONT HAVE THE TAGS BLOCKED (also, tell me if I missed one of those too): this post is about anti-black violence and police brutality, as well as sexual assault/molestation. Its a very disturbing situation I’m discussing here, but people need to fucking know what happened to this girl.
Also, I don’t get off on anti-black violence if you think that’s why I’m posting this, I’m trying to use my privilege to speak out, because I can do so without risking my safety, but if I’m doing it wrong, just let me know and I can edit the post.
Oh and, bootlickers, fuck off, I’m sick of y’all.
When I say I quite possibly am capable of murder right now, I mean it, so fucking listen.
A driver called the police because a young, 18 y/o black girl was barefoot, crying, walking around. Her name is Nekia Trigg.
This should’ve been a safe option to help a young girl in a clearly bad mental state. That cops should have helped her back home. Should have helped her find her family.
But since cops have been widely proven to be disgusting fucking bastards, the pig of an officer that was sent didn’t help her.
I’ll walk you through what he did instead:
He grabs her by the arm, demanding she tell him why she was crying.
He puts her in handcuffs for saying she was in pain because of his grip.
He forces her onto the ground under him.
He straddles her, and presses himself to this 18 y/o girl who did nothing but express pain.
And he ignores her saying she couldn’t breath.
Here’s a picture if you don’t believe me:
That woman reaching towards her is her mother, trying to comfort her while a grown man laid face down on top of her, his legs on either side of her hips: she’s trying to help her breath, since, you know, she was screaming she couldn’t because she is a teenager with a fully grown man sitting on her.
She’s alive, thank the fucking universe for that, but she’s still traumatized. She was still assaulted. Justice for Nekia Trigg.

Today marks the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition.
The United Nations recognizes that at least 15 million African women, men, non-men, children, and elders were kidnapped and trafficked across the Atlantic world (W. Europe, the Americas, and Caribbean). The founders of the United States and the European leaders of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries are ALL connected to this legacy of state-sanctioned exploitation and dehumanization.
August 22, 1791, marked the start of a series of revolts and slave uprisings led by enslaved and liberated Black and indigenous people, chief among them Sanite Bélair, Catherine Flon, Marie-Louise Coidavid, and Victorian Montou. This event would come to be known as the Haitian Revolution. 🇭🇹
As we continue decolonizing our politics and day-to-day practices, it's important that we take time to unlearn our miseducation and reclaim our history.

LGBTQ+ people of color exist.
LGBTQ+ people of color have always existed.
LGBTQ+ people of color often feel ostracized in both the queer community and their racial communities.
LGBTQ+ people of color have to face homophobia, transphobia, and racism, and yet are often told to be quiet.
LGBTQ+ people of color don't get enough representation.
LGBTQ+ people of color face disproportionate amounts of violence.
LGBTQ+ people of color have made significant contributions, yet are often ignored.
LGBTQ+ people of color deserve to be recognized and respected.
Please be an ally to us, and support us as we stand up for ourselves and advocate for our needs.

I put this on the #BlackLivesMatter tag for a specific reason. 94% of Black women voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. We knew what was at stake. The lost of the Supreme court and overturning Roe vs. Wade was what we feared: because overturning abortion in Texas will be followed by a campaign to force the sterilization of Black and Brown women. We've watched this happen before, and it will happen again.
So when we tell you to VOTE, get your lazy ass up and VOTE. This is NOT a fucking game and some of us don't have the PRIVILEGE to vote 3rd party and sit a vote out. Vote during the midterms in 2022 and make damn sure these motherfuckers know...you are NOT going down without a fight.
Don't let the Texas governor (Greg Abbott) get away with this.
Fight back, anyway you can.

A Black, queer, nonbinary single parent and their 2 young kids need to move into permanent housing after living in a hotel for almost 2 years. They've been staying in temporary housing after escaping domestic abuse and it's time to help them get back home. This family has been through a lot and they deserve a safe place to live with room for the kids to play.
Money will go towards moving costs (out-of-state to Kentucky), rent, application fees, deposits, and furniture/other household items!
For every $2 raised, $1 will be matched, up to $2000! Let's do this!

Flowering fields, the prospering life.
Shambling hordes adorned with colors.
Life in death, their bodies decomposing.
It is the end, but to them it’s not.
They do not feel pain, their flesh covered in lilies.
A familiar memory, but distorted in gray.
They cannot see the light of day again.
But their own light is filled with Helianthemums.
Even though, they cannot go back.
They feel true peace, and that is enough.

hey if u can’t drive/are a slow learner due to a disability or mental illness, just picture historical figures like pirates or the founding fathers trying to operate a car.
it’s only “easy” bc we’ve normalized it.
