Sometimes I think about how overly polite Ekira is (like whenever they call someone Mister/Miss/ma'am/sir )and I start tearing up.

as soon as i say this i get on a flight to vegas for 2 days, get busy with work and then proceed to sleep for three weeks after

After four months, I make my (not-so) grand return! I'm so incredibly happy to say I'm back and ready to write again!

"Which is why ya should be headin' t'bed!" Pointing a hoof towards the ground, Ekira scowls in irritation, their knitted brows certainly not making them any more intimidating.

"Y'already work y'self plenty," they tut softly, expression shifting into one of concern. "An' Vi's worried 'bout ya. Shuffling forward, they reach out a hoof, biting their lip.

"...Could'ja at least take a break? ...Jus' for a li'l bit?"

"Then I'll what?" Ekira asks, yellow eyes glistening with mischief. A snort slips past their lips, unable to hold back a laugh as they comb a hoof through her hair.

"I'll what, Layla? Go t'bed with ya?" Snickering, the little bard shoots her a wry grin, tilting their head to the side. "You ain't th' only one fallin' asleep, y'know!"

Exhaustion starters!! because i'm so tired man. im so tired. i slept 12 hours and im still so tired.

"You can barely stand any more."

"You're wobbling on your feet."

"When's the last time you rested?"

"Hey - come on - let me help you to bed."

"I got you a blanket."

"No - stop complaining - you're laying down."

"You're going to destroy yourself at this rate."

"You have to rest sometimes."

"I want you to feel better."

"If you feel like everyone hates you, you need to sleep."

"Okay, you're... not making any sense. Go to bed."

"Sleep isn't a failure."

"Rest is important."

"Shut up. Go to bed."

"The nightmares are... really bad..."

"I don't know when I last slept..."

So I've been doing a lot of complentating lately, all of it scattered, and none of it I'm able to word eloquently (since I've got work in an hour), but to cut it short: I will be taking a hiatus from Ekira's blog, due to an intense amount of burnout that I still haven't recovered from.
