I keep using the Shea Moisture max hold gel on day 3 hair... it brings my curls back to life but I really don't like how it makes my hair feel.
I'm stubborn about it - I don't want to get a diffeent gel since I have a growing collection of products. So I'll probably just keep using it till I run of it, honestly :)

Forgot to post yesterday! Yesterday was wash day...
Washed with As I Am Coconut Cowash. Before turning off the water, I flipped my hair over and got it all wet that way. Then I scrunched in the Cantu Curl Activator Cream (while still upside down). I flipped my hair back up, parted my hair how I like, and clipped back my bangs.
Then I plopped - for 30ish minutes! And then I diffused.
Today is fairly similar looking! I pineappled overnight and applied a lil' DevaCurl Supercream. Tada!

Today was a bad day, and I didn't put much effort into my hair.. or my face... 😅 I spritzed a little and added in some DevaCurl Supercream and walked out the door.

Posting yesterday's hair a day late :) I washed my hair with the As I Am Coconut Cowash Tuesday night, then applied Devacurl Ultra Defining Gel to soaking wet hair, flipped upside down via "pulsing scrunching."
I then parted my hair, clipped my bangs and plopped overnight. It honestly made diffusing in the morning so much easier!
The difference between this day 1 hair and the last day 1 hair is the styling product. I actually think the Cantu Curl Activator Cream yielded better results?? Iiiinteresting. Maybe I'll do the bang clipping on my next wash day and see if that makes the difference.
My hair was fluffier than normal.. at some moments I was feelin' it and others I was not.
I'm obviously still working out the kinks 😅

So the Sheq Moisture Max Hold gel is becoming my go to for day three hair when I've lost most of my definition!
This morning I spritzed with water/conditioner, added a little gel via scrunching, diffused until dry and then scrunched out the crunch.
My part has been kinda wacky from wash day.. one con of sleeping in a plop, maybe? So I've clipped back my bangs and voila!

Okay I tried something really different and am very pleased!!
I had an incredibly long day yesterday and couldn't shower until midnight. So I finally clarified.... and then "deep conditioned," but only let it set for about 10 minutes because tired.
Then, to soaking hair, I applied a lot of the Cantu Curl Activator Cream ONLY - no gel this time :)
Then, I plopped overnight!
When I woke up, my hair was only about 60% dry.. so I diffused the rest of the way. I clipped back some hair on the left side of my hair to reveal that bomb curl.
Curly win??

Maybe should have washed today, but I had to leave early for an offsite meeting this morning! So, I'm rocking the deep part that resulted from my half up yesterday and went for volume!
I spritzed with some water/conditioner on my ends and applied a little Shea Moisture Max Hold Gel. Voila!
I'm feelin' it for now but who knows what I'll think by end of day.

I've not been very excited about my hair results as of recent. Today I spritzed with water/condition and half top knotted for a while, then felt silly about it and did half up pony instead. It's just really poofy today.

Okay so testing more things out and maybe getting a better hang of things 😅
Today I cowashed with the As I Am Coconut Cowash. Then, to sopping wet hair, i applied about 4 quarters worth of Cantu Curl Activator Cream to my hair via the "pulsing roping" method.
I then plopped for 15. Once I took my hair out of the tshirt, I applied the Devacurl Ultra Defining Gel to my hair via the same method.
Then I diffused, half upside down and half right side up.
I diffused to abut 70% dry before I had to leave for work.. walked around looking like a weirdo for a couple hours, then SOTC'd.

Better day three hair! Today I spritzed with water/conditioner and then applied a little handful of the Shea Moisture Max Hold Gel. I'm okay with it!

Yall I do not feel cute today 😅 I got my hair wet in the shower and conditioned. I then applied the Cantu curl activator cream and Devacurl ultra defining gel... I mixed it in my hands first and it made a really weird consistency... my hair didnt absorb it well and it clumped weird?? What does that mean?
I then plopped for 15 and diffused for 15. It turned out fine...? We'll try again mañana 😅

I'm celebrating today as my one-month-aversary of doing CGM.
Feeling good about today's hair, despite my process being out of the norm. But hey, I didn't clarify! So I may make it to three weeks yet!
Today I shampooed and deep conditioned. I let the deep conditioner set for 45ish minutes then rinsed. I then applied a teeny tiny amount of the curl activator cream and a lot of the gel (all via the scrunch-while-soaked method).
I then plopped for an hour. Then, I pinned back my bangs and let it air dry the rest of the way while I did some manual work outside!
I think diffusing would have led to a little more definition but oh whale. Below is a picture of the day's products!

I tried a mohawk braid bun this morning and it was atrocious.... so I took it down, spritzed with water/conditioner and walked out the door.
Tomorrow, it'll have been two weeks since I clarified. I think it's almost time to reclarify.. but kinda wanting to get to the three week mark? TBD on how I handle tomorrow's wash day :)
