Finally able to start using my new academic diary! I can't decide if I should decorate it with some stickers.

I started reading the second book in the empyrean series, almost finished. I am nervous about not having enough time to read when I get back to studying.

I learned this week that I have a free gym and swimming membership and have done for 3 years, oops

Heres an about me post:

Primarily this blog is to share with others my progress, and be able to look back at the end of the year. I am far from a perfect student and intend to share the realness of all the ups and downs I experience academically.

I picked my project options for my final year! They are:

- protein (mis)folding

- mRNA transcription

- protein sorting

- ds-DNA repair

- cellular organisation

I am super excited to find out which I will get- I chose the ones that are interesting and also utilise the techniques I enjoy and want to learn more of. I still need to pick my literature review options over the next few days.

Utilising my universities facilities by going swimming this week (I didn't even know we have a pool).

Side note: its difficult to do things when you have no deadlines??

After several years of studying using pen and paper, I finally linked up my ipad/pencil to my schools software so I cab take digital notes. No more carrying heavy notebooks around all day

I finally got my exam results for year 2, I passed 🎊 better grades than expected, on track for a 2:1. Now to start preparing for the GAMSAT??

Have aquired some of the year 3 lectures and started looking over them! Small steps. Need to repair my laptop ASAP
