Chapter: 4
Part: 2
“Roy? What’s wrong?” Riley asked. “Noi’s not gonna kill us.” Roy’s heart sped up, he did not want to be captured again, yet he did not want to be in this jar any longer. The way the giant could effortlessly pick up things Roy could only fail to try, the way this being could hold him in the palm of his hand. It was terrifying.
“Mr. Roy sir, I promise I would never hurt a human. Not in a million years, sir.” The giant, Noi, said. “I can’t imagine how I must look to you sir. I’m terrifying aren’t I?”
Roy nodded honestly. Being honest seemed best in this situation. This man could crush him without even trying.
The feeling of being squeezed in the middle of a giant’s hand is something he would never forget. How insanely fast and large their movements are, Roy would never forget. Riley’s scream as he was picked up, Roy would never forget. The thought of being taken away from his precious child, the thought of never seeing her again, these things he would never forget.
But he might be able to forgive.
Something he struggled with.
Forgiveness.
“Just get me out of this jar.” Roy said sternly. “Just get me back home.”
“Yes sir.” Noi’s trunk-like fingers pressed against the glass. Roy shuddered. Yes, he did not want to be in this jar any longer, but he was thankful for the wall of glass between him and the giant. “I’m going to open the jar now sir.” Noi’s voice gently boomed around him. Roy did not enjoy this, but he found this giant’s presence almost…reassuring.
Roy closed his eyes as he fell towards Noi’s hand. He slipped down that glass, he couldn’t do anything to stop it. He was helpless. Pathetic. Useless in this giant’s grasp. He was useless. There was nothing he could do as he slid down the wall of that jar, absolutely nothing. If Noi decided to destroy him or anyone at this moment, or any other honestly, he could do nothing. Sure he felt he had already failed ten years ago after being taken. But in the end they weren’t killed, still alive. Now was another chance to fail, everyone could die, right now. If Noi decided that’s what he wanted. His fate was in the hands of a teenager, an 18 year old giant, what was this?
Noi’s palm was warm and…welcoming? Could Noi truly be good? Roy could imagine the giant fingers curling around him, nearly being crushed, killed. Was Noi the same? No. He had lowered his voice. Noi had helped his daughter harm the other giant, nearly killing him. Noi was good? Noi was good. “Noi is good.” Ry found himself whispering to himself as he opened his eyes.
Noi lowered Roy back to the shelf, Lani was smiling. That made Roy smile. If his daughter and husband could trust this…this person, he could too. Noi was a person. Like how Roy, Riley, and Lani were people. Like how the queens were people. Roy could trust him. Roy could trust him.
“-can step off my hand now.” Roy found Noi saying. “Mr. Roy, you can step off my hand now.” Roy shook his thoughts away and jumped off the young man’s hand. Lani ran to him and hugged him. “You did it Pa! See Noi’s not that bad.” Roy patted her back softly.
He found himself saying this again. “Noi is good. Lani, Noi is good.”
“Yes, Pa, yes.” Lani smiled up at Noi, “Noi is good.” The other Heroes and people cheered. Roy remembered the way they all had looked to him for shelter in this chaos. The way they all believed he was incredibly brave, even if he wasn’t.
~~~~~~
Noi sighed. Lani’s pa trusted him. All the people there trusted him, including the small child.
“Alright.” He said, all eyes turned to him. Gods. Okay this might be chaotic. “So how do we want to do this? I mean get you people back home.” He stared down at his hands, he could hold all 26 of the humans before him in one hand and be able to curl his fingers around them. Wow. Noi was huge. Yes, he was larger than most giants, but this…he was speechless.
“Well,” Lani ventured, “We could all fit in your hand, I think.” It was like she met his mind. She turned back to the humans, “That is, of course, if you all are okay with it.”
Noi knew it would take a moment for the tiny beings in front of him to trust him. But Roy…Roy said he was good? Roy was afraid of him, still, he said that Noi was good. Noi didn’t really know if he could believe that, he was a nervous wreck who had sensory issues and was also six hundred feet tall. To humans that was like a small island, right. He mentally face palmed.
And…oh gods, if he had to get down the beanstalk…he would have to be in the human world.
“We’re ready!” One of the humans said. Noi planted his hands over his ears. Why did all the humans assume that they needed to yell for him to hear them? Jeez.
“Alright.” He held out his hand, completely dwarfing the humans. “Hop on.”
The feeling of the humans walking on his hand made his skin twitch, which shook the humans. Great. Plus his hand was sort of itchy. Great. Noi thought.
He rose. Standing up he felt awkwardly huge. Noi curled his fingers slightly around the humans so they wouldn’t fall. Some of them screamed, Roy and the boy, whose name Noi had learned, Cero. Right, he needed to move slower. He walked towards the door, trying not to think of all the things that could happen right now. Like the fact that the humans could fall and he might not notice then step on them, or the fact that he might accidentally tighten his grip and crush all of them at once.
As he stepped through the door he ducked his head, another reminder of how large he truly was, even to giants. He looked back to his hand as he closed the door, Lani gave him two thumbs up. One of the humans ran across his hand, why, he would never know, but it made his skin twitch and itch really badly. “Lani?” His voice sounded loud in his own ears, “Could you please scratch my palm? Please.”
“Oh sure. Where-” Lani fell over as Noi’s skin twitched beneath her.
“Crap sorry.” His skin twitched again. Lani stood up and smiled, she bent down and pressed her nails into his skin and moved her hands side to side. Relieving Noi’s itch.
“Thank you.” He sighed.
Noi unlocked the door to his house and stepped inside. His home made him feel more peaceful. “Okay guys, I’m just gonna get a shirt with pockets on, so I can climb down the beanstalk with you guys.  So yeah.” He walked to his room. This was his space. He sighed. “So I’m just gonna put you guys down on the bed and…yeah.”
This earned some yes’s and okay's.
He set his hand down on his bed and waited for the humans to step off, then he went to his closet to grab his other, pocketed, sweater vest.
~~~~~~
Lani was actually going home. Plus she completed her mission.
Though she was puzzled.
Some of the people Kako had taken were…strange. There was a pregnant lady named Naisha. There was the six year old boy, Cero, the Queens’ Heroes, and Xoren. Xoren was an elf in disguise. Lani asked if what Kako had said was true: Did he sell people?
And the answer she got was terrible: Yes. She would have to figure this out later, and tell Noi.
She watched as Noi took off his green sweater vest and replaced it with a brown one that had pockets. He was facing away from them. It was so weird, she felt like she was invading his privacy, watching him. She couldn’t imagine what it must be like for Noi. She recalled the way his skin twitched every time one of them moved. She recalled the way he’d asked her to scratch his hand.
Noi’s bed was soft and, well, huge. Noi was huge. That was something she’d never actually get used to. She saw how his hair reflected the sunlight, shining a beautiful burning orange. It gave the appearance that it was glowing, but Lani knew it wasn’t, having seen it most literally glow. Speaking of that, why had that happened?
Lani was snapped out of her thoughts as Noi walked toward the bed. “Alright, I’m ready.” Then he said quieter, “I think.” His huge hand landed on the bed in front of her, she helped some of the other people get on before getting on herself. She had just now noticed how tall Noi’s hand was laying flat, it was above her head. She felt small.
Noi brought his hand to his chest and used his finger to prop open his pocket. Everyone scrambled into his pocket. “Are you good in there?” Noi’s voice rumbled all around them. Lani could feel the way his chest rose and fell, the distant heartbeat, and when he spoke how it sort of vibrated. She found it fascinating. Riley was the first one to reply to Noi’s question though. “Yes!” And with that Noi left for the beanstalk.
~~~~~~
Jay dripped to potion into the beaker if he could just–
The ground rumbled softly.
“Whatever.” Jay mumbled. The motion exploded. “Whelp.”
The rumbling intensified. “Huh? Is there an earthquake?” The glass beakers and jars started rattling on his shelves. “That’s weird.” He stared out the window. He just saw darkness, but it wasn’t black like the night, no it was brown. “Huh, I wonder what that is.” As he was walking towards the door the roof started to cave in.
“Oh crud!” A voice(?) boomed from above. Jay ran outside.
Outside was the biggest being he had ever seen in his entire life: A giant. “What in the-?” His thoughts flashed to the other day when Lani went up the beanstalk. “Lani! Did that giant take her? Is he coming back for more? Is he wearing a skirt?” Jay thought aloud. Then he turned back to his house.
Hovering above his house was a giant boot, connected to a giant leg, that connected to–well you get the point. The giant almost stepped on his house! How dare he! Jay searched the pockets of his cloak and pulled out his wand. “Alright.” He turned up and aimed his wand. He doubted the spell he was gonna do would do anything, but it was worth a shot.
“Hey you! Hey you giant!!!! Look down here!!”
~~~~~~
“Hey you! Hey you giant!!!! Look down here!!” Noi heard a tiny voice yell, right after Lani had told him to watch out for Jay’s house. Surprisingly the person’s yelling didn’t hurt his ears, the air down here must’ve done something to his hearing.
Noi looked down, right where he was about to step was a tiny house. No tiny wasn’t the word, it was so, so, so tiny, not microscopic, but it was barely a third of his foot. How had he not noticed it? He usually had a good sense of space but…oh he wasn’t home anymore. He was in the land of the humans. He was going to have to be more careful down here.
The only thing was, he hadn’t even taken a single step yet. The space between the beestalk and this person’s house was a few feet (to him that’s like centimetres) away from the tip of his shoe. He had almost stepped on a person’s house. Wow.
“Hey giant! Are you listening to me?!” The person yelled again. Noi felt something bump slightly on his chest, followed by Lani’s voice. “Is that Jay?!” Noi stuck his hand in his pocket and scooped up all of the humans (he don’t know about Xoren) and pulled them out of his pocket. He heard a few screams. Riiiiight, no sudden movements. He chided himself. Before lowering himself to the ground. He placed his hand down and waited for the people to get off.
His back was against the beanstalk and his legs were tucked in so he didn’t accidentally crush something. He stared down at the humans. He felt larger than ever. He really lived up to what he was: a giant. Up in his own land he felt…more normal, even around the humans. But down here…
Noi heard Lani’s voice, “Jay this is Noi. He’s a good giant.” She gestured up to him.
“He almost crushed my house.” The human, Jay, complained.
“I’m sorry.” His voice felt loud and weird in his mouth. Riiight, the air is thicker down here.
“It’s fine man.” Jay smiled. “Nothing a good fixing spell can’t fix. Can I climb you?” Noi froze. “What?”
“Can I climb you?”
“Uh yeah, sure, okay, please be careful.” Were all humans this…weird?
~~~~~~
Jay was very curious, he couldn’t help it. He wanted to know everything about this giant, Noi.
I really hope you people enjoy this bit.
Chapter 4:
“So everyone…this is Noi.” Lani gestured up to a crouching down Noi. “He’s here to help us…so yeah.”
“Lani, did you just kill a freaking giant?” Roy asked, completely ignoring Noi.
“Well…” Kako stirred. Noi stood up and faced him. He was rising.
“Frick.”Noi mumbled. Kako rubbed his head.
“Ow… Noi? What are you doing here?” His eyes were misty, they drifted towards the jars. “And by the gods! Are those humans?!” Wait, did he not remember anything that had just happened?
“Well…no. You’re probably just really tired.” Noi fiddled with the buttons of his sweater vest. He looked down, Lani was hiding behind his foot. So Kako wasn’t dead, but luckily he didn’t remember any of this.
“How about you go to bed, sir.” Noi walked over to Kako, leaving Lani exposed–wait where did she go?
“Oh alright. That seems smart, I think I’m starting to see things.” He stood up completely and Noi led him to his room. “Goodnight sir.” He walked back out to the kitchen. Lani was still nowhere to be seen.
“He’s in bed now.” Noi said softly, looking around. Lani was back on the shelf, trying to push one of the jars over. She flinched at his voice. “Do you need help? That’s why I’m here after all.” He kneeled back down in front of the shelf. The young boy had started crying again.
“Pa, he’s nice.” Lani was whispering. “Just let him help, please.” She was talking to the man whose jar she was trying to push over.
“Here, let me help.” He reached for the jar, the man backed away, as much as he could from being in a jar. “Roy,” A man in the jar next to Lani’s Pa said, “give him a shot. Know what, Noi, get me out of here first!”
“Okay, you don’t need to yell.” He covered his ears. “I’ll help.”
“Oh sorry.” He shifted as Noi reached toward his jar.
“Okay I’m going to grab the jar sir.” He watched as the man’s eyes widened when Noi grabbed the jar. He could see the man’s small chest rapidly rising and falling. “I’m sorry are you alright sir?” He slowly rose the jar towards his face.
“Y-Yeah.” His eyes glanced around desperately.
“I’m opening the jar now sir.” Noi gripped the lid and turned it. “I’m gonna tip it now.”  He started to tip the jar and watched the tiny man slip down the glass, while fighting back. He felt the microscopic weight of the man land in his hand.
Holding someone in his hand was still such a weird feeling. Someone’s life was literally in the palm of his hand. So fragile, so small, so very real. The man was so small, but still so…there.
“Could you put me down now?” The small man’s voice rang through the awkward silence.
“Oh, yeah, sorry.” Then quickly added on. “Sir.” And set him  down on the shelf.
“Good job Dad.” Lani hugged the man, who Noi could now assume was Lani’s dad. “I know he’s scary.”
“Well this is awkward.” Said one of the other people in the jars.
“Oh yeah, sorry.” Noi said. “I’ll help you guys now.”
“You’re not gonna hurt us, right?” Another person asked. Did none of anything I just did prove that I’m good. That’s not hurtful at all…
“No, I’m not going to hurt you.”
After about ten minutes there were two jars left: Lani’s pa, whose name Noi had learned was Roy, and the young boy. The young boy was still absolutely terrified of him and well Roy was still grudging against him. And now they were trying to figure out who he was going to get out first.
“I promise he’s nice Pa.” Lani gestured to Noi for like the 50th time. “I promise that he’d never hurt you or anyone. Has nothing that he just did changed anything?!” And, well, the young boy was still crying his eyes out. Most people were focused on Roy though. Leaving Noi to be focused on the boy…
“Excuse me, kid?” Noi whispered softly. “Are you still crying because of me?”
The boy stared up at him, not exactly with fear, but the same amount of trust. “Not really. You are just over-overw-w-whelmding me.” Noi’s heart dropped, he knew what it was like getting overwhelmed.
“My apologies young one. Have I been being too loud?” Noi asked.
“N-no. It’s just…you're just too big and your m-movements are…”  He flapped his hands in a weird fast manner. Oh, Noi was just moving normally, but it must’ve seemed overwhelming to the child. “Oh. I’m sorry. Is there anything I could do to help with that?”
“Can I get out of here?” He shuffled.
“Oh, oh yeah. Sure, yeah.” Noi reached his hand, slower than before. “You ready?”
The child sighed. “Yes.” Then said much quieter, “Thank you for being slower.” Noi slowly and carefully picked up the jar, the boy’s face paled and his eyes widened.
“I’m opening the jar now.” Noi slowly twisted the cap, the boy stared up in…sigh fear.
Now there was a six-year-old boy sitting in Noi’s hand. A six-year-old human boy. “Are you ready for me to set you down now?”
“Yes, but your hand is very warm. It was cold in that jar.” He shuddered. “You’re not like the scary man right.”
“Obviously not.” Noi brought his hand down to the shelf. “There you go.”
The boy ran and jumped off his hand. “Thank you for getting me out of the jar Mr. Noi.”
“Now Pa please!” Lani said. Noi had completely tuned out that conversation. “You are one of the Queens’ Heroes and you don’t want help from a good giant?!”
“He’s a giant Lani! You don’t know what it’s like being kidnapped by a giant! His hands and just…ugh!”
“I’m not like Kako. I’m not gonna hurt you.” Noi reached for the glass.
~~~~~~~
Roy’s thoughts flashed back to that day.
That giant hand reaching towards him, him shooting his arrows, it doing just about nothing. Riley screaming as he was grabbed, fear spreading through his body. His husband being stolen. He thought they were  both going to die. Roy continuously shot arrows at the giant, only to be  grabbed from behind by a second hand. Darkness. After that there was just darkness.
“No! Don’t! Please don’t!”
“Pa?” Lani pressed her hand against the glass. “Are you okay?”
“He’s gonna kill us.” Roy panicked. “He’s gonna kill us.”
Yeah so this is a short bit, so they'll be a part 2.

(I have to mention, this story was inspired by @fae-of-the-forest01 's "Beanstalk" So if anything seems a little similar I just want to say, I am not trying to plagiarize, but anything similar I give all credit to @fae-of-the-forest01 's "Beanstalk")
Chapter 3:
Lani had accepted the fact that she could never actually make it to Kako’s house on her own. So she took Noi’s help. Noi may or may not have been right. It may or may not have been just a short walk for him. And Lani may or may not have deeply appreciated his help.
Noi had set Lai down outside of Kako’s door. She stared up at it, before slipping right under. She heard Noi’s soft voice from behind the door, “Are you positively sure you don’t want me to wait here?” The giant’s voice was filled with worry.
“I’ll be fine.” Lani called behind her.
This house was not too different from Noi’s. There were no dried herbs, vegetables, or rosewater on the walls or shelves. And this house did not feel cozy or homey like Noi’s did, it seemed eerie. Lani felt as if she was being watched. Which she was
She spirited towards the counter, there was a ledge that was about fifty feet above her. When she was by the door it had looked as if there were jars on that ledge/shelf. She was going to check up there first.
Unlike Noi’s counter, this one was made of smooth, polished wood. Whereas Noi’s counter was only polished wood on the top, while the rest was still grainy. So Lani got to use her grappling hook to climb this fifty foot ledge. There was an upside to this: her fingers and arms didn’t hurt nearly as much.
It was definitely worth the climb…
25 glass jars stood looming before Lani. All of them had one thing within it; a human.
Lani’s eyes scanned over each of the jars. Two jars stood out to her. Unlike most of the humans, who were asleep, the humans that resided in these jars were awake. They were both facing towards each other, away from Lani.
The taller one, with black hair and dark skin, was half-heartedly banging on the walls of the jar. The shorter one, who had brown hair and light skin, was sitting down and muttering softly to the other one.
Lani’s heart broke as she watched the two. They both had gray streaks in their hair and seemed low on energy. She definitely still recognized them though. They were her parents.
“Roy? Riley?” She called her parents by their first names.
The two turned around, quickly might one add.
The taller one, Roy, spoke first, “Who-” He squinted, “Lani?!” He rushed to the other side of his jar. The shorter one, Riley, spoke next, “Lani? Is that you?” She rushed to her feet and pressed her hand against the inside of the glass jar.
“You look so grown up.” Riley’s voice was muffled from the glass.
“It’s been so long.” Roy frowned. “How long has it been, exactly?”
“Ten years, Pa. Ten years.” Lani was a moment away from tears.
“Ten years.” Riley echoed. “That means…” She paused, then looked back to Lani, “You’re nineteen. Roy you’re forty-one. I’m–”
The ground rumbled, interrupting their melancholy moment. The door’s lock clicked loudly.
A giant, one shorter than Noi, but still as intimidating, stepped into the cottage. The glass jars rattled ‘softly’ as the giant, who Lani could most definitely assume was Kako, walked towards the counter. “Lani, go!” Roy’s face was, a look Lani had never seen on him; terrified. “Go NOW!” Lani didn’t run. She had to stay here.
“Lani,” Riley’s voice was scared, “why aren’t you running? That monster will capture you.”
Lani had noticed a while ago that there were (obviously) seven more jars with people than the 18 heroes that had been taken years ago. Plus her parents were right here, there was no way she could just leave.
“I’m back, you rodents!” Kako’s voice was loud and hurtful, unlike Noi’s. It was more so like how Noi’s voice was when Lani had first met him. And ‘rodents’?! This man was rude. Noi was right.
Lani hid behind the jars.
The ground rumbled as Kako’s leg landed in front of the ledge. The ledge was up to the middle of the giant’s calf, Lani could see his knee cap above her. His skin was lighter than Noi’s and had some ugly red splotches.
Kako bent down, his eyes were a dark hazel, his nose was red and ugly, and his lips were large and plump.  Lani could smell his breath as he spoke, “Wake up, you rats!” His voice made Lani’s head swim.
Roy and Riley cover their ears. the people that were asleep woke up groaning and covered their ears. Kako spoke again, “ I'm selling one of you today. I’m making myself some money”  his eyes scanned over the jars then focused on Lani's small form.
“Well, well, what do we have here?”  a giant hand moved Roy's jar.
 Roy shouted, “Don't touch her!  keep your grubby hands off her!”
“Oh, why should you care?”  Kako snarled, he moved Roy's job more aggressively.
Lani broke out her sword and slashed at the giant hand in front of her. Kako was not at all  threatened. Lani made an attempt to dodge him, it didn't work. She dropped her sword. It hit the ground with a small clang. Dude, that’s literally the second time I lost my sword.
This giant’s grip was so much harder than noise. Lani  was clamped in the giant's fist, she couldn't breathe. It was so hot she immediately started sweating. Lani was getting super claustrophobic, she could hear the blood rushing in her ears, she could feel her heart thundering her ch-
Then it stopped. The light met her eyes as she opened them. “ Well, who are you, little rat?!” Kako spat. Lani looked past his large head, ignoring him. She saw Noi’s mis-matched eyes peeking in the window, they maintained eye contact for a moment, then looked away. Noi stayed.
Kako shook his hand, “Answer me, rat! Who are you!?”
Lani finally spoke, “I’m Lani Jack, you monster! I’m one of the Queens’ Heroes!”
“Oh no, I’m so threatened,” Kako said in a false tone, “The human queens are going to arrest me, oh no.” His other hand moved, Lani spared a moment to look. Kako had grabbed an empty jar. She heard her parents scream and shout.
Lani was dropped carelessly into the jar. The glas was hard and cold, but she could feel the warmth radiating from the giant’s hand. A lid with a few holes was screwed onto the jar. There was a knock on the door.
Kako set the jar down next to Roy’s, who was glaring at Kako. “Don’t try anything, rat.” He spat, before standing up and walking to the door. The door opened…
Noi was standing in the doorway, which he had to duck to fit all the way. “Hello Mr. Muzan.” He said awkwardly. He was holding a basket.
“Noi Evans?” Kako plastered on a fake smile. “To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you?”
“Well, I brought you some tomatoes and cucumbers from my garden, sir.” Noi peered inside, over Kako’s head, staring at the jars. “What are those?” He pointed at the jars. Roy grumbled next to Lani, “Another stupid giant.” And for some reason that hurt her.
“Those,” Kako glared over his shoulder, “are not your business, young one.”
“Well, they look alive.”Noi stepped forward. Lani rammed against her glass. Roy stared, “What are you doing?!”
Riley turned to Lani’s jar, “Lani, we don’t want the other giant to notice us.”
Lani ignored them, Noi already knew about them, with his awkwardly good eyesight (with his monocle on). No, her plan was to break out of this jar and grab her sword.
“Are those……humans, sir?” Noi walked forward, the ground rumbled.
“Hey!” Kako stepped in front of Noi. “You can’t just waltz into my house!”
“Ah, yes, my apologies Mr. Muzan.” Noi was halfway across the room. Lani rocked forward again. Both Roy and Riley whisper-shouted, “Lani Jack!” A few of the other prisoners just stared. The youngest looking one, a six year old boy, was crying.
Lani’s thoughts rushed, where had these other people come from? They couldn’t have been here for that long, right? Why had they been taken? Who took them? If it was a giant, Noi would’ve noticed. If it was a human there was the slimmest chance Jay would’ve noticed, being heard of hearing and adhd. Was there a different beanstalk? Wait, did Kako say he was going to sell one o–
“Could I look at them, sir?” Noi’s voice rang Lani from her thoughts. “I’ve never actually seen a human before, sir.” Only Lani knew that was a lie.
“Fine.” Kako grumbled. Noi stepped forward, the ground rumbled. The ledge was a little less than halfway up Noi’s shin. He bent down, giving Lani vertigo.
“May I?” Noi gestured to the jars. Lani suddenly felt dehumanized. She was in a jar, at the mercy of two giants.
“Yes, you may.” Kako’s voice was tight. Noi set down his basket and reached for Lani’s jar. His hand was so large and looming, Lani was afraid, again. She shrank back. Noi winced, he wasn’t trying to scare her, something only she would notice. His hand gripped the back of Lani’s jar, she watched as his finger pads pressed against the walls of the jar.
Roy banged against his jar and shouted at Noi, as Lani’s jar was lifted effortlessly. Riley screamed. Noi grimaced, Lani knew he wanted to cover his ears, but he stayed strong. Lai tried to stay calm, most of her confidence was gone. She could trust Noi, right?
“She looks like us.” She was brought in front of Noi’s mis-matched eyes, yet again. Being inspected like this was so dehumanizing. And his voice was booming again, like it had been at their first meeting. Lani did not like that. Not at all.
“They’re nothing like us.” spat Kako, who seemed very angered and inpatient.
“May I?” Noi asked once again, gesturing to the lid high above Lani’s head. What was Noi wanting?
Kako let out an exasperated sigh, “You may.” His voice was still tight. The lid above Lani twisted with scarily impressive strength. Noi’s face looked pained, he tipped the jar.
Lai had no control over anything happening at the moment. She uselessly slid down the glass into Noi’s awaiting palm. It was soft and warm, more comforting than Kako’s. Stupid Kako, Lani thought. Regardless of this hand being Noi’s, she did not enjoy being manhandled: small and useless.
Noi took a moment to inspect her, again. She shot him a dirty look as he delicately lifted one of her arms. He mouthed the words, ‘I’m sorry.’ but Lani was still uncomfortable. She could hear Roy grumble at the giant holding her. And she could hear Riley’s whimpering, the young boy’s crying, and her own blood rushing. She wondered if Noio heard these sounds.
“How old are they?” Noi asked, gesturing to the rest of the humans. Why does he care?! Lani’s brain was screaming, she was just realizing; why did Noi care about her or any of the other humans?
“Well, they range from six to fifty-five.” Kako grumbled, “Price depends on age.”
Noi froze, “You sell them?” Lani wanted to punch Kako.
“Yes,” Kako said impatiently, “yes I do.”
“...why?” Noi’s voice shrank. His tree trunk-like finger curled around Lani, she punched one of them.
“Put the human back.” Kako barked, he hadn’t heard Noi’s question. “Now.” Noi pressed the mouth of the jar against his skin, he tipped his hand, Lani, again, slid helplessly back into the jar. Wait, Noi had somehow snuck her sword and grappling hook into the jar with her. He then pretended to screw the lid back on, he pretended. Then he set Lani’s jar back down with the rest.
Roy glared at Noi. “Stupid giant thinks he can do whatever with you.”
Why did that hurt Lani?
Noi was a giant. A giant Lani had met yesterday(?). So why did she feel hurt every time her Pa said something rude about him?
“Now Noi, you may go.” Kako snarled. Noi stood up, his next step was harder than normal. The jars rattled, Lani rammed against the glass wall. He’s helping me? He’s helping me.
Roy cursed when Noi stepped. “That stupid giant. He doesn't know what it’s like to be in these jars.”
“Roy, dear, calm down. The giant probably just stepped normal.” Riley tried to steady herself in her jar. She was wrong. Only Lani knew that this was not at all Noi’s normal step. Lani again rammed herself on the wall of the jar. If she could just get it to tip over–
“AHH!” The young boy screamed when Noi reached down, near him, to pick up his basket. Noi covered his ears. Kako stared at him, very confused, “Noi, I said…LEAVE!” His voice was too loud.
Noi was visibly overwhelmed. Lani knocked her jar over, the lid tumbled off. Kako saw. “You little-” Noi fell to his knees as Kako slapped him. Kako slapped Noi. “She escaped!” He backhanded Noi.
Lani grabbed her sword and grappling hook. She hooked her grappling hook to the ledge and repelled down. She had put her sword in its sheath. Why was she even more angry with Kako? Why was she defending Noi, a giant?
Noi had helped her. That’s why.
She was a hero. That’s why.
Lani  found herself muttering, “Fight back Noi.” She also heard her parents yelling and screaming. Lani felt the urge to quiet them, knowing that Noi was already overwhelmed, but sadly she knew what she had to do.
“Hey stupid giant!” It was kind of satisfying to call Kako stupid. Kako’s head turned to the sound of her voice. “Yeah, you!”
“What did you just say to me, rat?!” Kako snapped. He stopped hitting Noi and focused on Lani. Her hand reached back and grabbed the hilt of her sword.
“I called you what you are! A big, stupid giant!” A shadow fell over Lani, Kako had raised his foot above her. She felt a chill run through her body. Time seemed to slow, was this the end? She wouldn’t be able to save the people. Hopefully her parents stayed safe. Lani pressed her eyes shut, waiting for the final blow. Waiting for her en–
CRASH!!! The ground shook violently.
Lani slowly opened her eyes. She wasn’t dead.
Noi was pressing Kako to the ground. His hair was glowing? Yes, Noi’s hair was glowing, it looked like fire. There were also markings on his skin that were glowing. What the heck?
“-dare!” Noi was saying. “You are terrible Kako Muzan!” His voice sounded like a storm. He punched Kako in the face. How was this the same giant who could hear Lani’s whispers? This giant was scary.
Kako’s hair had started to glow too. What the heck?!
“Get off me, you dumb oaf!” Kako shrieked. He took a moment of effort to push Noi off him. He then gripped Noi’s glowing braid and pulled: Noi screeched. Lani ran towards the fight. It looked like a battle from Lani’s perspective. Also why the frick were their hair glowing? (Plus the markings on Noi skin.)
Kako was now standing over Noi, who was on his knees. Kako was still tugging his bright hair. Lani wondered if Noi would hear her if she spoke, it was worth a shot.
“Noi,” she whispered softly, “I am going to climb your arm If you can hear me; do NOT move.” Noi slightly glanced, as much as he could with Kako yanking his hair, towards Lani and nodded subtly. He heard her.
Lani plowed forward. If she could just reach Noi’s hand and climb it, she could get where she really needed to be. She sheathed her sword and jumped onto his huge hand, which was palm down on the wooden floor. It was soft and warm, though standing on skin was very strange. She reached up and gripped the loose fabric of Noi’s tunic.
Kako again tugged his hair. Noi’s other hand flew up and punched Kako in the nose. Lani shuddered, she was happy that her and Noi were on the same side. Noi was much scarier than Kako when he was mad.
Lani repeatedly grabbed handfuls of fabric and propelled herself up Noi’s 183 foot arm. She was thankful for the fabric, otherwise she would have had to go straight upward on Noi’s skin. The fabric was loose and smelled like herbs, like how Noi’s whole house smelled.
Lani spared a precious moment to look back at her parents. They both looked extremely concerned–Noi’s arm jolted, Lani held on for her life. Why did Noi move? He said–blood dripped on Lani, snapping her back into reality. It was Noi’s blood, warm and sticky. She looked up, Kako had busted Noi’s nose by punching him. Noi had moved his arm as defense, as a shield.
Lani sped up the rest of Noi’s arm, ending on his shoulder, but not stopping there. She grabbed a handful of his hair and climbed it until she got to Kako’s hand. She unsheathed her sword, stabbed at his knuckle, and grabbed his finger before he moved it. “AGHH1!” He exclaimed, swatting at Lani as she ran up his arm, fueled by adrenaline.
She had freed Noi.
“What are you doing, stupid rodent?” He shrieked as Lani scaled up to his shoulder. She threw her grappling hook to the top of his ear, piercing it. Now Lani was covered in blood, so her hands slipped when she first grabbed the rope. “AGHHH!!” Kako reached for his ear, only to be again stabbed by Lani’s blade.
She balanced herself on top of his ear, held her blade up high and– “ARGHHHH!!!!” Lani stabbed Kako’s temple, embedding her sword deep in the side of his head. Hehehe revenge!!!! He stopped moving almost immediately. Noi tried to stand up, but his legs failed him as the other giant fell onto them. Lani grabbed hold of Noi’s sweater-vest as he scrambled away from the dead giant in front of him.
Kako was dead.
Right?
Noi looked confused? Impressed?
So yeah that just happened.

Random G/t story I wrote a while ago, meet Tobi and Wren.
TW: idk what you'd call it but Tobi puts Wren in his mouth.
Guarded by a GIANT
“I’m sorry, but I was ordered not to let you go.” The giant, Tobi, said as he gripped me. “I have to keep you captive.” He paused as if he was listening, “uh huh, wait, WHAT!” his breath blew my hair and his voice hurt my ears. “Well, if it’s what you are desperately pleading for.” He looked back to me, “Again, I apologize, well my master, erm, wants me to, erm eat you.”
“Wait, what?!” I squirmed in his grip, “Come on, Tobi!! You wouldn’t eat an old friend!” He frowned, “No, but I’ve been ordered. You are a trespasser, and I am a royal guard.” There was a look of sadness in his eyes. “It is my job.” He opened his mouth and held me above it.
“Tobi! I probably taste terrible!” I wanted to cry, I did not want to be eaten or killed! I squirmed as his warm breath hit me, Whelp, this is how I die. Waiiiiiit…….
“Tobi, why are you being forced to eat me?” I asked, I think I know how to get out of this!! Tobi closed his mouth and held me in front of his eyes.“Well, um, the king thinks that giants eat humans, so he wants me to eat you.” Tobi said
“And is that true?”
“Well…………………no. But he is the king and I must do as he commands.”
“Ooooor you could just be honest with him.” I gave him a sort of pleading look.
“He would say not.” Tobi said, “I must do this.”
“It’s not even that big of a deal, I was just taking a walk and-”
“Wren! I’m going to lose my job if I don’t do this! He already thinks I’m a monster and wants to lock me up……but my dad says I might be of good use to the kingdom. I have to do this.”
I watched as he swallowed, I saw his Adam's apple, (which is, by the way, like as big than me), bob up and down. I watched as he sighed. He brought me towards his mouth again, “I’m sorry.” he whispered. I squirmed again, just for good measure. I felt his warm breath run over me, ruffling my hair, bits of saliva, as he spoke, landed on me.
Darkness. It was very dark, warm, and wet. I tried to grab one of his ‘tusks’/fangs, it slipped from my grasp. Also extremely disgusting, I could feel every little tongue movement. His tongue pressed me against the roof of his mouth. I could barely breathe, like at all. Also I could feel my chest constricting and my heart speed up, stupid claustrophobia. You know what’s really weird though? Tobi’s breath didn’t actually stink, really bad. What does this dude eat? Also where do you find a toothbrush this big? And how do you get enough toothpa—my thoughts broke as I was pulled back, then rushed forward.
Light. Agh, the light hurt my eyes. “I can’t do it! I’m so sorry Wren!”
“One sec, my eyes are adjusting………wait, why am I not dead?” I blinked multiple times. When my eyes, finally, adjusted to the light, I was again in Tobi’s gloved hand. (Except this time I was not being gripped. Waiiiiit, how does Tobi get enough fabric to make a glove, let alone a whole outfit?) “I’m so, so, so, so, so, sorry!” The giant looked like he was about to cry. Scratch that, he was crying.
“Tobi? Why are YOU crying?” My brain literally died as I watched him cry. “I’m the one who was gonna be eaten!”
