Really, I could keep going (lord knows netflix and disney give you plenty of fodder). Most of my list is quality (imo) sci-fi that didn't get a chance to prove or resolve itself.

I think my favorite random Easter egg that tells me at least Firefly had an opportunity for growth in popularity is that it comes canonically from the same universe as the Alien films [I think the timeline was supposedly 200 years after the events of alien franchise if I rememberthe post right]. There was room for crossover and a fanbase with revenue potential right there for Fox to appeal to (their main complaint was that they didn't know how or to whom they could market the show, but they also didn't stay consistent with airing dates or follow the correct episode order. I'm still convinced some episodes didn't even air because of gaps in the story.)

I've consolidated my post for ease of sharing

Hi, I'm Crystle. I'm a 32yo queer Chicana living in Washington state with my lovely husband and our 8yo daughter. For the past few year, we've been living with my elderly in laws in what started out as a way to help my family but turned into something more mutually beneficial as my in laws have started to decline in health.

While staying here, we've dealt with emotional abuse and manipulation on their part. They're racist, sexist and homophobic and love to direct their hate towards me. They are the kind to never acknowledge they've hurt you or apologize and expect you to live with it.

Part of the emotional abuse is threatening to kick us out when we are jobless and taking it back at the last minute. Their reasons have varied from me supporting BLM to them latest reasons; I don't support Trump, I'm too gay and teaching my daughter to be gay and I hate my father in law (I don't hate anyone 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️)

I've put up with it so far so I could keep a roof over my family's heads while I finished college. My husband acts as meditation between us so we are able to keep our kid safely housed. He's been highly supportive of us this whole time and doesn't really like his parents. We've both noticed, as well as my friends and family, that it's taken a toll on my mental and physical health.

We need out of here. We're on the list for help with housing and should be hearing back about jobs soon.

The wish list will replace things we have lost over the years living here and the go fund me will help with rent and bills while we get settled.
