I love Aerith and I love all the art and fic etc of Aerith girlbossing or being a silly creature or a pretty little princess but also like this girl was raised in a lab then orphaned upon her escape then she ends up back in the lab and nearly experimented on amongst much other traumas. where is the Mental Illness. I don't mean sad tragically beautiful angsty heroine I mean like having panic attacks over mundane things and weird coping mechanisms and quirks and habits she doesn't even realize are well outside the realm of normalcy because she's so far removed from what normal looks like!!! I think the archetype of sweet kind goofy girl hits so much better when said sweet kind goofy girl is also DEEPLY UNWELL, just saying

It's called parallel play in children, and I enjoy it even as an adult! It's nice to just be able to do your own thing in the company of others.
