I think we need to talk about the under appreciated Window Seat fandom

I mean really? With the book shelves?

It’s like an alcove of happiness.

You want a whole row of individual seats? Fine, here you go.

Or how about a whole window bed for those snugglers out there.

Curtains.. Guys this one has curtains.

Seriously? This is basically a glass cube of bliss.

You can even get them with corners! Not enough corners? Okay.

Ba-BAM!! Corners for cocooning.

There’s also the Roman-esque themed seat for the historians out there.

If you don’t want to snuggle up in blankets with hot cocoa in this then I don’t even know why you’re on this planet. I mean dat stonework.

This one’s an entire rectangle. Just imagine all the cuddling that could happen in there. It’s practically a fortress.

This one’s fucking curved okay? it’s just chillin, up of the ground, and curved for your lounging convenience.

don’t like rectangles or square? Okay. Have a fucking trapezoid seat.

You wake in the night with your arm hanging over the side of your bed. It is still dark, and your bedroom is shrouded in deep shadow. Something unseen seizes your hand.
You grasp it tightly, knowing that first impressions are important and a firm, confident handshake will establish dominance.

I won't trouble you to do it yourself since I'm sure it's lots but Is there a list someplace of all the prayers a woman is expected to say during the day? Thank you for your time.
I’m not personally aware of any list online, however thebook Halichos Bas Yisroel by Rabbi Yitzchak Yaacov Fuchs is exactly what you’relooking for. I think the book is pretty difficult to get a hold of, though, so Idon’t mind making a list for you. I’m consulting an ArtScroll siddur as I’mwriting this so you might want to look at one if you’re reading this, if youhave one.
Obvious Disclaimer:I’m not a rabbi or a poisek, this is what I was taught and do myself/am finding in HalichosBas Yisroel as I type this. Please correct me if there is anything wrong. Also, things will differ depending on community/custom. This is for the Ashkenazi nussach and I only had weekday in mind while writing this.
Basically, it’s expected women say morning blessings/birchoshashachar, morning prayers/Shacharis, and afternoon prayers/Mincha. I’ve triedto break it down for you here.
Morning
Say Modeh Ani when you first wake up and arestill in bed
Wash hands three times, say Reishes Chochmah(outside of a bathroom as it contains HaShem’s name). Some also recite AlNetilas Yadayim and Asher Yatzar here (assuming you went to the washroom), others recite it a bit later on, otherssay it at both times
(The non-ArtScroll siddur I normally use hasTorah tzivah lanu Moshe at this point, but none of my ArtScroll ones do—just aheads up case you’re using a siddur that doeshave it, you should say it)
Skipthe brachos for tzitzis and tallis
Mah Tovu, Adon Olam, Yigdal
Al Netilas Yadayim, Asher Yatzar
Blessings of the Torah/Birchos haTorah
Elokai Neshama
Morning blessings/birchos hashachar
Most women skipofferings/korbonos
Psukei d’zimra
If you are in a pinch for time, it will sufficeto say Baruch She’amar, Ashrei, and Yishtabach. The remaining order (if you’rein a rush but have time to say some) is as follows:
Psalm 150, 148, 146, 147, 149 (the Hallelukahs)
Vayarech Dovid until Tifartecha
Hodu laShem until Ki Kadosh HaShem
Remaining sections
Shema
I was personally taught that women aren’tobligated in saying anything leading up to the actual Shema, so I don’t say anyof the preceding brachos. Halichos Bas Yisroel says “women may recite the twoblessings, Yotzer ohr and Ahavah rabbah, preceding Shema.”
Say at least the first verse of Shema, howeverit’s incredibly praiseworthy to say the whole thing
Continue with Emes V’yatziv, leading into ShmonaEsrei
Shmona Esrei
Most women skipTachanun
Skipanything about Torah reading
Can skip the second Ashrei and U’Vah l’Tzion
Aleinu
Can skipPsalm of the Day
You’re done Shacharis!
Later in the day, you say Mincha, which is the afternoonprayer. It’s the shortest prayer.
Ashrei
Shmona Esrei
Skip Tachanun
Aleinu
Most women don’t say Maariv, which is the evening prayer. Please remember that in any of the prayers, you don’t say Kaddish unless you’reresponding to it in shul (we don’t say it without a minyan).
Before you go to sleep, you should say Krias Shema alhaMita/the bedtime Shema. Halichos Bas Yisroel simply mentions saying Shema andthe blessing HaMapil, not the whole thing.
And, of course, you should be saying brachos throughout theday (before/after eating, asher yatzar, etc.)
This probably looks super intimidating, so please takethings on slowly. No need to frustrate yourself and be stuck saying Shacharisfor two hours if it might lead you to resent davening! I personally startedwith saying birchos hashachar and once I was committed to doing that, I addedmore in slowly. If you’re really in a pinch (i.e. slept in through your alarm and have 10 minutes to get to work), you can say a quick personal prayer that includes praise to HaShem, a personal request, and words of thanks.
I hope this was clear!

Rough Night-TW SELF HARM
It’s been several months since I had fixations on cutting. I haven’t actually cut myself in three and a half years, but on nights when my depression is particularly insidious it comes back.
I’ve even considered walking to the liquor store down the street to buy a bottle of wine (which I would drink by myself) as opposed to cutting. Neither is healthy, but one is slightly better than the other.

When the Nazi concentration camps were liberated by the Allies, it was a time of great jubilation for the tens of thousands of people incarcerated in them. But an often forgotten fact of this time is that prisoners who happened to be wearing the pink triangle (the Nazis’ way of marking and identifying homosexuals) were forced to serve out the rest of their sentence. This was due to a part of German law simply known as “Paragraph 175” which criminalized homosexuality. The law wasn’t repealed until 1969.

James Potter: seventeen, hair got struck by lightning at age four and hasn’t sat down since, knuckles that jut out, holds his wand between his teeth to impress girls- to impress the girl, doesn’t own one pair of matching socks, the kind of attractive that fills the ribs, fills the shoulder blades, fills the heart, Sirius painted his nails once and he kept the polish on all week, sees the girl before registering anyone else in the room, young organs pumping young blood, wired to himself, to his boys, to the girl, can tell what you’re about to say before you say it, he’s just sort of like that, has a habit of leaning arms on peoples shoulders, starts the trust fall before anyone realises they’re meant to be catching him
Sirius Black: seventeen, eats whipped cream by the fork full, rolls up the sleeves of his robes, begins most conversations with: you absolute fuck, column of his throat running down the neck like water, leaves his text books all over school, made of gut feeling, of instinct, of starting before you know how to finish, a part of him still stuck in that house, with the door slamming, with his mother yelling, with the world ending, he is the bomb going off in the swimming pool, he has probably made a bomb go off in the swimming pool, smoking just outside the door- look- you can see the smoke, you can see the shaking hands.
Remus Lupin: seventeen, jumpy, long eyelashes, the sullen quiet of fog in winter, scars up the arms, round the neck, across the chest, eyes that stare as if they are waiting for permission, plays the same records until he’s mouthing the words in his sleep, gives out flowers for gifts, sarcasm that could stop the heart, soft, like the skin above your collar bone, like stained glass windows with light through them, like seeing a star in a textbook, knowing that something that good is out there even if it is far away, often has wind billowing through his baggy t-shirts, pulls out his bottom lip when thinking, at night wakes up sweating, dreaming of blood in his mouth, the kind you get when you rip an arm off, when you lick the bone clean.
Peter Pettigrew: seventeen, socks right to the knee, eating an ice cream, has a sore neck from always looking up, raw fingernails- bitten to the cuticles, full of fear, oozing fear, could fill cathedrals with this fear, burns books for no reason, unmade bed, the flush of a cheek that is bloated, a mound of blood, sits on the floor because there is no room at the table, counts on his fingers, pulled a muscle when walking up the fourth staircase, shuts his eyes, opens them, realises he is still in his own skin, pale, a stick of white, unassuming, like flowers, or the moment the ground gives way, all at once, as if it was going to all along

US Mint and Treasury announce a black woman with braids will be Lady Liberty on new currency
Lady Liberty is a black woman.
The U.S. Mint and Treasury is celebrating its 225th anniversary and unveiled on a new $100 coin on Thursday.
It’s the first time in United States history that Lady Liberty has not been portrayed as a white woman.
The new coin is set to be unveiled in April and is the first in a series of new, racially diverse commemorative coins to be released by the U.S. Treasury.
Future designs will represent Lady Liberty as Hispanic-American, Asian-American, and Indian-American “to reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of the United States,” the Mint wrote. Read more

Star Wars PSA:
Because I keep seeing the “Finn is useless”/Finn erasure crap in some of the tags/fan spaces, I feel like this needs to be said:
*ahem*
Finn saved the entire galaxy. Straight up. If it weren’t for Finn, Poe would be dead. Rey would still be on Jakku. The First Order would have gotten BB-8 and the location of Luke Skywalker, and the Starkiller would still be operational.
Finn’s the biggest hero in the whole film, and the entire galaxy owes him a great debt.
That is all.
