One where both my friend and I want him

When I’ve been yearning for him longer

Because even though she knows my intentions

She’s probably going to get him

The time passes and yet I stay still

Much like Sisyphus my battles are uphill

I wish for something, someone, I can’t obtain

But yet my heart cannot be tamed

Maybe one day he could be mine

But for now I have to push that rock uphill till the end of time

Rocks are broken

Words unspoken

Eating feelings with despair

Sometimes love feels so unfair

I want to speak out

Say my true feelings out loud

But I’m scared you’d be annoyed

I'd write poems about you

But then you wouldn't read them

So what is the point?

I wrote poems and songs about him

And yet it was like what we had was made on a whim

It was destined to be a fleeting moment

And all I can do is ask for atonement

He moved on while I stayed stagnant

Now my heart is in fragments

And I know It wasn’t love, just infatuation

But that doesn’t change my feeling about the situation

it's tough to find your heart in tatters/ to feel the moment that it shatters/ and yet, I hope you still feel/ the lovely way your heart can heal
