I think that I’m holding on to my emotions too tightly... I’m almost always on the verge of tears and my body is aching from the stress. Before, I would cry almost all the time. Now, I’m holding it in. It feels like I’m saying to myself “you can’t cry. You’re 23. Don’t cry over little things anymore. You’re not an emotional teenager. Get over it.” Yet, my doctor just has to mention “you’re getting teary eyed...is everything okay?” And down comes the rain.

I don’t know why I started it. I don’t even remember when. But it’s hurting me more than anything....sure, it’s so easy to just say “cry, Char...it’s okay.” But that “you’re over 23″ bit is pressuring me.

Emotions....why are you so complex?

Argued with a tattoo person today....he owns a tattoo business, but doesn't do the actual tattooing. I want a cherry blossom branch that curves behind my ear and goes to the back of my neck. In addition to the branch, I want some blossoms and simple (literally no detail) butterflies on it. The butterflies will have a gradient color like the blue in my Wiccan moons ("shading" as the guy said :/). Four butterflies, four colors. Literal argument: We can't put it behind your ear. It's too small of a space. Me: No it's not. There's lots of room. Him: you don't understand, people won't know what it is in a year or two. Me: people have no idea what my bigger tattoo is and it's still perfectly intact. Him: We can't do it. Me: Alright. Where would you put it then? Him: it's up to you. Me: I want it behind my ear. Him: there's not enough space! Me: I'm pretty sure that it's 100% possible to remove the hair prior to getting the damned tattoo. Now, tell me again how there is not enough room? Apparently in this little town, girls with partially shaved heads is unheard of. Regardless, I'll be taking my tattoo business down to where I got my first tattoo done. I never really liked the place up here...just a bad vibe.
