The fatigue was weighing on the shoulders of the man, who put his arm on his desk, while his features softened in staring at the little boy, who, wisely, did not make any questions about the Ryodan, indeed it seemed as if he had preferred to take distances. Did he understand the danger of that organization of thieves itself? The nickname of the Danchou had given it? After all, he had not seen his tattoo, with that strange symbol engraved in it.

Chrollo closed his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, relax for a few minutes. He had to leave, had to go back to Meteor City, the main lair of the Phantom Troupe. But, he felt something, and turned back to the master of the house. "What's wrong?"

" … ” He listened quietly, before nodding a little. ” I see… ” Placing the small black notebook in his bag, he zipped it shut before straightening, taking out his hair and tossing the two thin ponytail holders onto his desk. Sitting down on the small but comfortable looking bed, the fragile looking male went lost into thought for a minute — mostly weighing how dangerous the man before him could be, his bloodlust leaking out without his knowledge in a simply protective manner.

It was almost as if a snake was coiled around Nagisa’s waist, head poised over Chrollo’s — waiting to strike if he were going to hurt Nagisa; fangs bared and gleaming with dripping poison, its scales soaked in blood.

The head of the Spider did not know what to expect from Hisoka and did not want to follow him, but sighed and decided it was best to do as he said. It was bettere if he discovered soon as possible what he had in mind, at least he would have understood why the magician wanted to speak with him in a public place like a bar.

Just as he had said, the bar was not far away, Hisoka opened the door and the warm light, the roar of laughter of the customers welcomed them. Chrollo looked around, before seeing an empty table in the dim light. "I think it will be suitable for having a good chat. We will not catch too much attention."

"It's quite a surprise seeing you here, Hisoka."

"Oh? Ah, Chrollo. I didn’t expect to see you here either~. What a pleasant surprise." ♣

"What could it be, then?"

Chrollo asked, looking at Kurapika in those crimson irises, that like rubies caught the light of the lamps. It was very nostalgic being in front of so much hatred, a hatred so sweet, which slid along his skin, making it red hot, as the sun of August. The Spider looked at that hand adorned with chains and a soft laugh echoed through the bar. "If you want, kill me as well."

He had not already explained that as a hostage, as the victim was worth very little? The Phantom Troupe would go ahead, someone else would become the new Danchou, would have given orders to carry out what had been created by him in person: a defense for Meteor City. Meanwhile, Chrollo did not look up from the young man, still staring at him, teasing him.

"But, I really don't understand what stop you in killing me."

                                     Was Chrollo provoking Kurapika?                                                    It was obvious!                                     He wanted to see what would happen.                                          See how far he was ready to go!

(30) Buying them a drink 

Looking up into the face of the man who had just bought him a drink, Kurapika nearly lept from his seat. It was him - the head of the spider! 

"Y-you have some nerve showing up here like this," Kurapika hissed bitterly, nearly crushing the glass in his hand. The hunter was seething with rage, his eyes blaring red to the point where they were nearly visible beneath dark contacts.

                      Chrollo did not expect a certain statement by the boy, whose hatred glowed on his skin, he felt it crawling toward him in big waves. He looked at him with a serious stare, while the coldness of his personality hovered around him, making appear the leader of the Phantom Troupe like a ghost, something diaphanous, with translucent skin.

                                                  “What do you mean?”

                       That was his question, his voice hard, a sharp order, while he wanted to reach out to Kurapika, hold it in a firm grip. The Spider licked his lips, shook his head, large aqua green earrings captured the light of the moon, as his whitish skin.
