Hi friends,
Sorry for not posting any new recipes, but this is important for all puppy-friendly homes to have - a list of summer fruits safe for dogs. Just be sure to remove the pit from the peach because the pits can get stuck in our digestive system, which no one wants. If your humans are feeling extra kind, maybe they can make a fruit salad for you. Just cut up some fruit, mix it with apple sauce or plain yogurt and you’re ready to go!
Love,
Charlotte the Cattledog

Hi friends,
I was being a helpful heeler today and dropped off a bunch of homemade Gingerbread Cookies to my friends. They’re homemade and delicious - made with real ginger.
Ingredients:
1 cup pumpkin puree
1-2 inches of ginger, grated
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp honey
3 cups of whole wheat flower (More or less depending on dough consistency)
Directions
Mix all of the above ingredients together until the consistency is smooth and the same texture as sugar cookie dough. Roll out dough until about a quarter inch thick and cut out cookie shapes as desired. Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
Love,
Charlotte the Cattledog

Hi fur friends,
My human sister tried to make me chicken jerky after seeing all the random stuff that goes into the dog treats we buy. Se wanted to create healthier snacks for us all! Unfortunately, the jerky came out more like cooked chicken rather than jerky. Any recommendations on what temperature and cook time we should do to produce more jerky like results?

Hi fur friends!
My human sister baked these fiber-packed biscuits for me this 4th of July that way I wouldn’t feel left out at the family BBQ! The chia seeds, broccoli, and whole wheat flower are all excellent sources of fiber, while the cheese adds some flavor.
Stay safe, friends! I’ve heard some scary stories about other puppies getting lost during the fireworks and I DON’T want that to happen to you.
Love,
Charlotte the Cattledog

Hi fur friends!
It’s been rather hot where I live nowadays so my humans have been treating me to frozen Kong treats. I don’t really understand the Kong concept, but I do love the stuff inside, so I’ll usually wait for one of my humans to lift the Kong for me and then I’ll lick out the insides.

Hi fur friends!
My human sister and I came up with another cookie recipe that is both delicious and healthy! The honey acts as a natural sweetener filled with vitamins, while the oatmeal adds fiber and the Greek yogurt adds protein. The most important thing though is that they’re tasty and makes training fun.

Hi everyone!
A few of you asked me where you guys could find the recipes for the dog biscuits I handed out at OC Cattledog Day. The oatmeal cookies I gave out were my Peanut Butter Cookies from the first post and the orange pumpkin biscuits are from this recipe here. The only change my humans and I made to the recipe were that we put kibble in the middle to up the cuteness.
Love,
Charlotte the Cattledog

Hi fur friends!
I love these new cookies! They blend my favorite things together - apples and treats! These cookies have a spongier texture than the last ones and smell amazing!

A good idea for all dog friendly homes is to print this out and tape it to the refrigerator! My humans always consult this before deciding what to put into all my treats and meals. A good rule of thumb is - if you’re not sure, consult your vet.
