Anyone else suddenly having troubles after the latest Firefox update? The issue happens randomly, and whenever it does I mostly cannot interact with the URL bar. If I open a new tab, it does let me type, but when I am on any web page I am completely unable to select the URL to alter it. I'd have to close the tab and open a new tab if I wanted to go to a different website or page using manual entering of the URL. I seemingly cannot access the list of frequently used sites that pop up when you click on the URL bar either.

This has not suddenly made using the internet groundbreakingly broken and inaccessible, just a little bit more annoying.

You cannot be pro youth lib and then have minors DNI on your profile. You're contributing to chasing youth out of everywhere. You're contributing to the mentality that you get to decide what is and isn't ok for youth to be interested in or know about or look at.

If you want a particular group of people to not interact with you, and those people aren't inherently bigots, you yourself are the bigot. I'm open to arguments about that though.

if you want to actually materially address child abuse, the single most important thing you can do to start is give children the legally enforceable right to leave any situation they no longer want to be in.

church, extracurriculars, summer camps, school classes, their biological family's houses. notably, these are the places that child abuse is enabled by the child's inability to just fucking leave if they need to. they can't walk out of church if their youth pastor touches them inappropriately; they'll get punished for leaving. if they walk out of their house because their dad hits them, the cops pick them up and give them right back to their dad.

children need the legal autonomy to leave abusive situations in order to even begin to usefully materially address child abuse.

Just cause there people who initially don't want to be something out of shame, and overcoming that shame and turning it into self acceptance is a beautiful thing, doesn't mean there not also people who don't want to be something because of dysphoria, lack of euphoria, lack of connection, incongruence, etc. and those experiences should be respected too. Autonomy for all.

Frog Circus, Act One.

A peculiar looking frog appears on the stage, sitting ever so inconspicuously on his jester hat lilly pad. Flies buzz around, oblivious of what’s to come. Then, as if possessed by an uncontrollable force a flurry of scarves unfurls from his mouth revealing his endless scarf trick! The scarves thrash around whipping flies out of the air as if they are nothing more than, well, flies!

Some of you may not want to hear this, but sometimes autism accommodation means giving that socially awkward person who said something that came off as passive aggressive or uncomfortable the benefit of the doubt. Not everyone is capable of reading social rules and cues effectively, I thought this was autism 101.

For me it's more like there's the hollow emptiness but then really deep far inside of there is something, everything. But it's so far away that it's not even inside of reality.
