Chapter Five: The Final Reckoning

“I’ll give you a thousand dollars to stay out of this elevator,” Jane panted, his breath catching somewhere in his throat. His hand was already under Lisbon’s dress, fingers contemplating just how insubstantial that lace barrier between them was.

The tourist couple – somewhere in their sixties wearing matching tee shirts – blinked at him, bemused, as he flung a wad of cash from the bag the casino had handed him. They hesitated, but in the end, they made the right choice and the doors slid shut.

Before they even sealed, his mouth was back on Lisbon’s, like it had been since [redacted] God, her lips – plush and pillowy, yet firm and hungry – were going to ruin him.

She tasted like Cherry Cola and champagne. 

Pinned against the side of the elevator cab, she hooked a leg around his hip, and – Jesus Christ – he’d known she’d be flexible, but this was something else.

Everything was frantic. Hands. Mouths. Some missed their mark entirely – hitting her chin, the corner of her mouth, or that faint crease near her cheek. He wanted to taste all of it. Touch all of it.
