Ao no Exorcist : Season 01

Okay, so some time ago, i decided to start to watch Ao no Exorcist. And that was when it was too freaking nice that i had to watch a few episodes per day, and soon i finished the whole season. RIght now, i am watching the latest episode of Kyoto Fujouo Hen (Season 2 of Ao no Exorcist). 

Rating : 10/10  

 All rights, lets get to this! 

First of all, this anime broke my scale, and i really love it. The plot and story is amazing and so is the character developments. It is also rather funny but at times its pretty deep, about Rin being Satan’s son and all. At times i feel bad for Rin, because he never chose his fate and he couldn’t change the fact that he was Satan’s son. But Rin chosing to save his friends and defeat Satan speaks more about him as a person. (Not to mention him being a good cook too!) His love for the people he cares about is immense. Although he can be pretty hot tempered and stubborn at times, he loves them deeply & would put himself out on the line to help them. 

I admire his bravery and his guts. Really. He knows he is different and that he was meant to be seen as a disgrace and seen as a devil. But in the end, he never really bothered about the fact and proved himself to be the exact opposite. And soon, the rest of his friends started to see it as well. 

Other than that, i love Rin because of his cute quirks and just his personality and character in general. I like the brother relationship, with him being the oldest but acting the youngest. I like how Yukio is really protective of Rin and wants to do something good and meaningful in his life as well. Other than that, i have seen Rin’s true responsibility as the older brother in the sense that the both are protective of each other’ like Yukio is to Rin and Rin is to Yukio. Rin the type to exert more physical force, and Yukio more by words and warnings. (sometimes, if Rin is stubborn maybe i little bit of boss action.) 

Obviously, my favorite part was were he tamed Kuro. It was the part where an exorcist needed to show one’s heart; and i believe its a great thing you need to have other than fighting with demons. And Kuro is wayyyyyy adorable! 

 I find that each character has many types of personalities, and they are all amazing, and how they develop is amazing as well. 

For instance, the changes seen in Izumo Kamiki is pretty obvious, and i think she partly changed because of Paku and Shiemi. She had a rough past indeed, and she also carries a cold physique, however is a considerate person & is a good friend. She is probably the first to understand Rin and sat beside him when no one else did even though he was Satan’s son. 

Shiemi’s character is very interesting and cute as well! She is a resilient girl, as well as optimistic, and also humble and never afraid to say sorry or admit that she is wrong. She wants to be a better person and she keeps to her word and throughout the episodes she becomes better and better. She believes she can do things and carries them out. Her determination and her strong will was what made her reconciled with Rin. (I ship Rin x Shiemi btw) 

As for Bon/Suguro, he is almost like Rin except when Rin was called Satan’s son, he was shocked and didn’t want to go near him. He would often be as hot headed and rebeliious. However, he is a good friend who always stands by his friends. 

The whole of Season One is awesome as a whole. I got to see amazing characters & the strong protagonist as well. It helps me to see that even if we were titled by something, we should never let people define us based on what facts they think of. We should, like Rin show them who we really are and what we are capable of, and that is when they truly accept the way we are. And also the fact that being an exorcist takes so much more than just talent and skills. It takes, love, teamwork and harmony.

Rachel’s Bucket List~ (part one)

Where and what you love to do before kicking the bucket? (dying) 

There is a habit where i just love to say, but find it hard to do. But i am very sure that there are things i want to do! Of course, i can never ask for to much, but hey, as long as their realistic it would be fine! I mean, one can never place so much limitations on one’s self. So if there was anything i might have missed out, i would have to come back here and check it off, and make sure i get to do these things! 

Well, lets start! 

1) obviously, the top of my list is to go to Japan. I don’t really care if i fail to visit other parts of the world, but i need to go to Japan! And i am intending to explore every prefecture, and until i am satisfied, only then i can go to another destination! Odd, isn’t it?

2) make a little of my hobbies and things i love to do known a little to the world. Which are some of my little music/piano adventures. 

3) attend a live orchestra by famous orchestra like the LSO or the Japanese Orchestra or whatever haha 

4) go to the amusement park or universal studios and try some relatively safe games and rides! Like the haunted house, merry go round, bumper cars, etc. However, if i do feel like it, maybe a roller coaster! (don’t forget the wizarding world of harry potter in osaka! ;) ) 

5) get my own house near my parents when i start working. I would probably have to buy it early to get it cheaper, or just stay in an apartment if anything is too expensive. 

6) Of course, that would be with my boyfriend/.husband, and of course one of my bucket lists is to date and find a boyfriend, and get married! 

7) of course to graduate, which i probably will anyway. (it has to happen) 

8) have a whole family vacation, to somewhere interesting and also vacation with friends! Of course, i would suggest Japan ;)  

9) Of course, i would need a job, wouldn’t i? I am okay to work for my parents, but that is provided i get a share of my own freedom as well, and finding a job i would love to do as well! 

10) watch a spectacular night view of a lovely city from above a skyscraper or building. 

11) at least cosplay once. (i did as a maid for my university’s maid cafe, but it was a little simple!) (this would be rather easy to tick as its possible to do now!)

12) have children. One or two is enough, and preferably a girl and a boy, but i prefer girls, so if i had one girl, it would be enough. 

13) buy my mother a sewing machine! (relatively easy as once i work!) 

14) get to wear traditional clothing like yukatas or hanbok and put on makeup because they are pretty af. 

15) watch the spectacular northern/southern lights, and if i am lucky get to see a shooting star! 

Well, thats all i can think of now! More will be in Part 2! (That’s if i recall some of the things i want to do!

What if i was a K-POP star??

Wow! What would happen if i was a kpop star?? I want to start this What if game where we all imagine ourselves in different situations and just you know- imagine like what if we become? HAHA. As you know, i am a kpop fan, and not just kpop. I love their indies and you know- people like Urban Zakapa, 10cm, Taru, J Rabbit, Sweden Laundry etc..and not to mention CRUSH oppa. 

So? What would happen if i was a kpop star?

If i was a kpop star, i would... 

1) be a vocalist, instead of dancer. One thing you should know about me is that i prefer singing over dancing any other day. I have had many bad memories of dancing, and if i had to dance, nuh uh it will be reaaaally awkward. Like for real. I don’t really know if my voice is enough to be a main vocal, but maybe a lead vocal would be better for me. 

2) enter a variety show. I feel that variety shows can make me express who i am better, so that i can be more loved and appreciated by the fans. Its where i might show off “hidden talents” or just my preculiar behaviour, and plus i would get to meet new ppl and make friends! It will be a fun atmosphere! Like maybe showtime or something like that would be good! 

3) try out solo. Of course, i want to sing OST’S and solo tracks on my own to show my abilties. It will fun to find me sing an OST for a drama, and say, hey! I kind of participated in this drama- like you know! 

4) meet lots of idol artists and make friends with them! As so you know, if i am an idol i would probably break some of the rules. If they sort of become a little serious, obviously i would still do it, but more secret. I often wish to make friends with other artists as well and get to know them! That way, i can build my network of friends! I might just go around breaking rules here and there (thats why i am never fit to be an artist anyway!) 

5) surprise my fans. Fans are undoubtedly one of the most important people if you are an kpop idol. If i had the ability i would to hold a free concert to that anyone can come, and there are no limits! I want to surprise my fans and keep them happy, for sure! 

6) give some of my fortune to the needy. As you know, when you are star with just too much money, its no use keeping it all to yourself. If you can do good, just do good and give to people in need sincerely.

7) do Mukbangs. Because duhhh my love for food. 

8) try acting. Alright, i may suck, but i do love acting at times. 

9) piss my manager off. (in a good way, obvious) 

10) get really close with the stylist. I do love fashion, and sometimes me and the stylist could be real close friends! 

and finally, voice my opinions when really needed! 

Here you go, some of the things i would do. What about you? What position would you want to take, and what would you do if you are a kpop star? I obviously have many more answers, but these are the pretty basic and main ones :)

I’d like to take a second to talk about Shirayuki and Zen’s relationship.

See, there’s this trope in manga (and in lots of other types of media too), in which the main couple needs to jump through a ton of hoops to make their relationship work out. There’s discomfort and jealousy and pain and suffering, both for the couple and for the reader. But with Shirayuki and Zen, it was never like that, not for a second. It was never painful. Their relationship has been so natural, easy progressions from casual teasing to best friends to lovers.

Girls grow up seeing these forced, contrived “shoujo” romances, and they think that they’re going to need to live like that, too. They think they’ll have to play games and feel insecure and go home and cry into their pillows.

Zen and Shirayuki are so, so important because healthy relationships are important. Love that stems from both romantic attachment and friendship is important, too.

Falling in love, especially as a teenager, should not be all twisting stomachs and stammering nerves. Sometimes, love is comforting and quiet, gentle, like nighttime. Like reaching out for the hand of someone you know will squeeze back. Sometimes love sneaks up on you.
