hi everybody!!! sorry for being MIA, I got hit with the classic ao3 author curse and haven’t really been on tumblr for the last few months. but, hey life update: i moved cities!

im in the weird interim of moving where i’ve moved all my stuff out of the old place and to the in-between location (staying with family rn :3) but haven’t started the long ass process of moving all my stuff in to the new apartment so things will probably continue to be hectic for me for the foreseeable future

I absolutely love this dynamic it’s so well written. Yeah, it has smut, but honestly my favorite part is how they portrayed Zeus and Odysseus. I’ve read a lot of fics where the focus is too much on the horny stuff, and I lose interest fast. This one has a great balance—he’s still horny, don’t get me wrong—but there’s also real tension, especially in the moments when he’s actually threatening Odysseus. So here's a thing I did for the fanfic. I might draw more.. let's see.

Passing by just to say that I LOVE your fic (which I have read a couple of times) and I can't get tired of it and the possibilities of EVERYTHING but mostly the crew reaction because I have a feeling they won't let that go.

Odysseus discovering he has a slighly *ehem* humilliation kink and a breeding kink while he is fucked by no other but the King of Gods is so!!! No wonder it sparked Zeus's interest, it did the same to me. Totally obsessed with him and how lovely he seems in bed. Penelope is so lucky �� and Zeus too, I know you said it's not the last time they'll do it, but even if it wasn't planned already, look at our little king, Odysseus of Ithaca, who wouldn't go back to him giving the chance?

I also can't wait to see the interactions with the other Gods because knowing them Ody is gonna have a hard time (his pride, his pride is gonna have a hard time, maybe a little of his dignity as well) My intuition tells me the use of "mother of Zeus's child" is not gonna be used only between the two in bed, but maybe I'm wrong. 👀

Again, amazing fic and amazing premise for a fix-it AU. I'm ready to leave all the kudos I can!!

teehee thank you!!!!!!!! i'm sooooo excited to write the crew's reactions to the reveal, but also, their reactions over the course of the whole journey. because, you're right! they won't be letting this go. like. at all. Odysseus is going to be fighting for his life to pretend everything's Normal and Nothing Has Change and haha he's totally Not Different, at all, right guys?

unfortunately for him, that's not going to work on his crew (and especially not Eurylochus and Polites, who will have to lock in EXTRA hard to make sure their captain doesn't go and do something stupdi he shouldn't be doing in his Current Condition™️).

also, you wanna know something funny? the smut wasn't actually supposed to be that long. Then I started writing, and it was like I got fucking possessed. I just kept adding more and more to it all, Ody and Zeus just couldn't stop apparently. So, yup, will definitely be writing more of that

And oooo buddy you got it down right, Ody's pride (and dignity) will DEFINITELY be having a hard time. What can I say, watching him suffer will be entertaining :P the phrase "Mother of Zeus's child" will be making reappearances. the particular phrase is going to haunt Odysseus lol. Almost as much as the conversation with Athena he'll end up having lmaooo. Nothing like looking your Godly mentor in the eye and telling her you'll be giving her a half-brother

Hello, one question, will the child Astianax have the same appearance as before? Or will the genes of Odysseus and Zeus mix and he will be a mix of both?

Astyanax will have Odysseus and Zeus’s genes when he’s (re)born! with perhaps a feature or two carrying over from his original form

truthfully, the only person who’ll be able to maybe pick out the features of Astyanax’s original parents would be Odysseus, since he saw Asty before he got remade™️. but the genes he get from Odysseus and Zeus will be far more prominent regardless

Since Ody has Zeus' protection now I know he won't go through Calypso, right? Well, since you made Zeus play around his words before, I have a feeling you will do it again... So the question is: Will his men die at any point because I have a feeling you love a little drama and would add Zeus "breaking" a promise he actually never made. (Protecting Ody, not Ody's men)

if i was less of a Fix-It inclined sap this would be a GREAT idea to be noting down for this AU

but, alas, the Motherhood Saga AU’s a fix it! the crew will not be getting absolutely obliterated like they do in canon.

that said, i do love word games so there’s bound to be some more playing around with words in the series, though probably in less serious circumstances

it’s occurred to me that writing this AU is probably gonna be a journey of me discovering more and more baffling facts about pregnancy as i go. live laugh love not being pregnant <3. can’t say the same for Odysseus though HA

and yeah, the crew’s gonna bear witness to plenty of mood swings. fortunately, they’ll know why these mood swings are happening. but also, unfortunately for Ody, they know WHY these mood swings are happening.

he’s not prepared to be Perceived as pregnant and hormonal but it’s gonna happen regardless. he’ll just pretend everything is Fine and Normal (that won’t work for long lol)

Yup!! have no fear, ody and penelope will still be happy and madly in love :) she’s just happy he managed to make it back home to her after the war AND spare an innocent child without invoking the wrath of the gods. if anything, he’s curried favor from the god of gods! a win’s a win in her book.

also (jokingly) you stole my idea!! im about 6.5 chapters in to a similar project but different in some very significant ways and a more angsty tone.

In which Odysseus wakes up, nearly keels over from sheer embarrassment, and finally gets some answers. And, of course, discovers he’s in over his head, but, really, when is he not?

And so The Motherhood Saga continues. This second chapter will be act as a segue into the rest of the series, which follows Odysseus’s journey through this AU and how his newfound condition impacts the events of canon!Epic. 

After all, motherhood may be just one godly deal away, but when the deal’s said and done there’s still plenty more to come
