Envy.
*Self pity.*
That's something Realism always hated. Loathed, even. The very person that she thought was closest to her made the choice to continue hating herself. Refusing to win. Realism kept giving her everything. The chance to win.
She was more than willing to let Cyan move on.
But she refused. She always had.
At first, she thought that Cyan wished to stay with her forever. Things were fine then. But when Realism realized that Cyan continued to carve pieces out of her own heart and leave them in puddles of forgotten blood, refusing to move on...
Realism chose to claim her name. She opened her heart and was bitten by a selfish person.
But the moment she was pulled into the new reality, of course Jovial Merryment would win. She didn't care. She was named. She could be content to lose for the rest of her life, just like Yellow.
But that night, she found herself within a dream. But was it really a dream?
Surrounded by things that *sort of* resemble Cyan loom around her. Some gurgling, some laughing, some sobbing.
Realism begged to be let free. But the way those *things* looked at her. Hatred.
Of course Realism was better than Cyan at running. Never able to be caught if she actually tried.
As Realism picks up the carrot, the little artifact that would set her free. Rage bubbled up in her throat.
"Is this what you wanted?!" She screams. "To torture me for living for my own sake?!"
The monsters stop. They stare.
Their rage fades for a moment.
"You left me." They spoke. "... We'll find you. We will find you."
---
"Yo! Realism!" Skybox bursts open the bedroom door. "Race today! You coming? Here's the layout!" She shows a picture of the arena with a big smile on her face.
"Oh, sure I'd-" She pauses, staring at it. She feels sick creeping up her esophagus. That same maze. That same damned maze.
"... No. Have. Have fun, though."

KNY Role Swap: The Twelve Kizuki (but they're humans this time)
I will include the protagonists as well in this just to be comprehensive! Nezuko & Tanjiro Kamado - While at home, a demon had ravaged her family. She thought she was going to die, before her brother gets in the way-- Getting home just in time, taking a claw through the chest. Something made the demon flee, however, leaving Nezuko and her dying brother together... Yet, at one point, his wounds healed. He immediately went back to being protective without missing a beat-- But now couldn't properly speak.
Nezuko now is looking for a way to turn him bacck, as well as battling against demons to rid the world of an evil created by a mysterious individual named Kagaya Obayashiki.
Hakuji Soyama - The current Stone Hashira, and the man who gave Nezuko a chance to save her brother. He gave her a speach about how she should *never* show weakness to a demon, or else they'll go for the throat nom atter what. They don't care about vulnerability-- So show none.
His wife, Koyuki, works at the Snowfall Estate as a doctor and cleaner. Her medical prowess is astonishing, and she says she learned a lot of it from Hakuji-- The other Hashira don't believe this, however, considering Hakuji's... Love for punching things, to put it simply.
Kaigaku Inadama - A student of a former Thunder Hashira, and a rather reserved, snippy young man. Deep down, he has a heart the size of the planet, but especially around Nezuko, he buries it. He finds her particularly annoying with how optimistic she tends to be. Though, once he calls her out for this, and she admits its all an act to give other people hope, he grows to understand her more.
Kanao Tsuyuri - An orphan from the tallest mountains, dressed in thick, warm clothing made from the hides of beasts. Her speech is rather half-baked, and the girl is a bit shy. Often using short sentences to convey how she feels or what she needs. That said, despite completely lacking a breath technique, her sheer strength allows for her to compete with the rest of her group.
Doma Urai - The Frost Hashira, a man with a winning complexion and joyous smile. Hakuji's personal rival, and friend-- though Hakuji would never admit that. Urai is very good at encouraging people, and his smile almost never fades. His talent is nothing short of awe inspiring as well-- His sword strikes actually spreading frost along the path of his nichirin fans, his personal weapon of choice.
Gyokko Kawasaki - The Water Pillar. He's a lover of sea animals, and paintings of a rather grotesque variety. While some are offput by the gore he puts on the page, Nezuko found herself rather fascinated with it. Gyokko immediately states that she's his favorite.
Because of how weird he looks as a demon, I'll actually describe his appearance. He's a tall man with long purple hair, his ears have large black piercings. He's very pale, some would describe him sickly. Each of his nails is painted a different color, and his arms are decorated with a variety of beads.
Ume and Gyutaro - Orphans without surnames, Ume used to work at a red light district. She hated it more than anything, and hated how her brother was treated for his looks. The two of them ran away, and happenstance encountered a demon. This demon attempted to kill them, but they were saved by Urai.
Ume and Gyutaro both have the spot for the Insect Hashira, each using different styles of applying poison-- Ume utilizing silk for long ranged slashes, and Gyutaro with sickles akin to a spider's fangs. (Yes, spiders aren't insects.)
Ume values good looks, and often beckons Nezuko to her room to help her find better clothes for non-slayer activities considering she's a bit of a bumpkin. Gyutaro however values the body scars you get from combat, and looking "uglier," as being ugly is being real, to him. As you could imagine, Gyutaro likes hanging out with Hakuji, but can't stand Gyokko or Doma--
Hantengu Kazama - (while i am not a system, i asked my best friend for help designing this character.) Hantengu often found himself at the bad end of scrutiny before his entrance into the demon slayers as the Wind Hashira. However, the demon slayers of course accepted him wholeheartedly.
He's a system, DID specifically. The other Hashira took their times learning the names of his alters, Nezuko actually learns how to tell apart their mannerisms. Urogi favors Nezuko specifically out of the bunch, as his more optimistic attitude compliments her own. One night when she was upset, Urogi began fronting to comfort her.
Michikatsu Tsugikuni - The strongest of the Hashira, a quiet man who barely speaks to anyone. It's not that he's hateful of conversation, he just prefers the quiet. Another Hashira that enjoys the company of Nezuko, considering she has a skill no other Demon Slayer has. The ability to lower her voice.
He's the master of an ancient breath technique; Moon Breathing. Referred to this as it uses the very shadow of darkness the Demons use to stalk prey as their downfall. Truth be told, Michikatsu lost his pregnant wife and firstborn son to Demons and loathes them for this. It's actually why he is the first to speak out for the sake of Tanjiro-- A demon that hates demons and has never eaten a single person? Perfect. Just more coal for his burning hatred, to know that demons can just choose not to be murderers-- and they decide to be, anyway.
(i will do the lower moons in another post this is getting bloated)
Muzan Kibutsuji - The leader of the demon slayers. A chemist. He's never actually lost anyone personally to the demons, but in a world he finds so beautiful, this .... Disgusting blemish on it needs to disappear.
He finds these lost children, who've lost everything. Families, livelyhoods, and it fills his heart with rage. So, he gives them a home. A new family. And a motivation to destroy the evil that lurks in the shadows.
He also is a nerd that reads books all the time. He hates germs to the point of wearing gloves everywhere, and will often overly clean everything. He's definitely a perfectionist, and similar to Michikatsu, his hatred somewhat blinds him--

Accursed Enlightenment
There's nothing Ryomen Sukuna loathes more than squandered potential. It irritates him to know that someone could be better but they choose not to be. His brows lower as he sneers at a woman who is no more than a decoration to the town. Paraded in front of him like a gift.
"Uraume." Sukuna begins to speak. "What is this?" "They're presenting their offering to you." Uraume replies. "Her hand in marriage for a promise that you won't annihilate them, no doubt." "What a waste. I can tell this one has a powerful latent technique. Just no experience with Cursed Energy to back it up... I think I'll annihilate them anyway. Leave her to the wolves, and see what comes of her."
And so Sukuna did. The only survivor of a true massacre was the girl they offered. To her, a four-armed monster just killed her family and friends. Yet to Sukuna, it was snapping away her shackles and letting her grow.
Years later, as Sukuna politely consumes Uraume's cooking, the gate at the temple which he sleeps at opens. He looks up, before leaping into the air as several arrows made from a lavender energy smash into the table, the walls, the roof, and the cobblestone walkways. He lands on the roof near these arrows as they fizzle out.
"Oh? What's this now?" He muses, before his four eyes land on her. The girl from before. Looking angry, and like her heart was gripped by adrenaline. The King of Curses smiles widely. "As you wish. Come."
Their fight lasted for hours, as Sukuna brings out the best in her. Though all it took was one well placed dismantle to send her falling to the ground.
As she lies there, she realizes throughout the fight she all but forgot her loathing of Sukuna. The fight she had with him was the most alive she'd felt in her entire life. She finds herself in a strange white void, staring off into the distance. "Out of all the sorcerers I've faced, even the Fujiwara clan, and their rather seasoned warriors... You were quite impressive." His voice rings in her head, though she can't see him.
"If you're ever reborn, with you I'd like a rematch."
These words of validation, being seen as more than what she was born to be... The woman puts a hand over her heart. "Thank you."
